Teachings from the Word
“That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.” – 1 Corinthians 2:5
What Do You Fear?
“Do not fear, for I am with you.” – Isaiah 41:10
Key Scriptures:
-
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.” – Proverbs 9:10
-
“The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe.” – Proverbs 29:25
-
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” – 2 Timothy 1:7
-
“I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made...” – Psalm 139:14
-
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” – Psalm 46:1
What Does Fear Really Mean in the Bible?
Fear, in biblical terms, is tied to what we put our confidence in — what we trust or reverence.
-
The fear of the Lord brings us wisdom, safety, and life.
-
The fear of man traps us in insecurity and silence.
God doesn’t want us to be afraid of Him — He wants us to trust Him, revere Him, and be in awe of His holiness and love.
The Gift of the Holy Spirit
God did not give us fear. He gave us His Spirit — the Holy Spirit — to live in us and guide us into all truth.
The Holy Spirit is not something to fear, but to receive. He is the last and greatest gift Jesus gave before ascending — a helper, teacher, and comforter.
You are so valuable to God that He came in the flesh, lived among us, and died for us.
Jesus is risen — and He alone is King!
Prayer:
Lord, help me trust You with holy reverence and joyful confidence.
I lay down the fear of man and receive Your Spirit of truth and power.
Teach me to live in the fullness of Your love,
In Jesus’ name, amen.
What Do You Fear?

“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.”— John 10:27
What Do I Do Now?
Recognizing God's Voice in Real-Life Decisions
When you're standing in the middle of a decision — whether it's something small or something life-changing — the heart starts asking:
“What do I do now?”
Sometimes God's voice feels clear.
Other times it's quiet… or you're unsure if it's even Him at all.
But Scripture tells us:
“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.”
— John 10:27
You don’t have to strive to hear.
You don’t have to guess your way through life.
He’s the Shepherd — and He’s really good at leading His sheep.
Here’s what He promises:
-
If you ask for wisdom, He gives it. (James 1:5)
-
If you seek Him, you’ll find Him. (Jeremiah 29:13)
-
If you listen, He’ll speak — often through His Word, peace, conviction, and timing.
Pause and Reflect:
-
Is the decision pulling you toward peace or pressure?
-
Are you seeking God's heart or just the outcome you want?
-
Are you willing to obey — even if the answer surprises you?
You don’t have to figure everything out.
Just follow the next step of faith.
He knows where the path leads — and you are safe with Him.

🌿 What Is Meekness?
📖 Key Verse:
“The meek shall inherit the earth…” — Matthew 5:5
💡 Definition:
Meekness is strength submitted to God’s control.
The Greek word praus was often used to describe a wild horse that had been trained — powerful, yet surrendered to the master’s hand. True meekness is not weakness, but power directed by trust and obedience.
📖 Biblical Examples of Meekness:
-
Jesus — Though He held all authority, He chose the cross in humility and obedience.
-
Moses — Called “very meek” (Numbers 12:3), he led Israel with deep dependence on God.
-
David — Even with the chance to kill Saul, he waited on God's timing and chose restraint.
🌱 Why It Matters:
Meekness invites God to fight our battles.
It silences pride, softens the heart, and allows us to love purely in a world that often hardens.
🔍 Life Application:
-
In conflict — respond with gentleness (Proverbs 15:1).
-
In leadership — serve with humility (Matthew 23:11).
-
In hardship — trust God's hand and timing (1 Peter 5:6).
🧡 Heart Check:
Where might God be asking you to walk in meekness today?
Is there something you’re still trying to control — that He’s asking you to surrender?

✨ Introduction to What Does This Scripture Mean?
Anchor: #scripturemeaning-introduction
Many times, I walk through seasons of uncertainty — and later, God gives me understanding that builds my trust and helps me move forward with Him in the things beyond my control.
My job is simple: to believe, abide, and bear fruit. Yet even in that, I sometimes feel the rejection of Christ, because He truly does live in me.
Reading to understand why the writers of the Bible — especially Paul and Jesus’ own words — spoke as they did is deeply comforting to my soul. Their encounters with the Lord remind me that I don’t have to look, think, feel, or strive to do more than God has called me to do.
I hope this section will be a help to you as well.
Here, I dive deeper into the Word of God to understand my purpose in life and to remember that my victory is in the finished work of Christ — who is still working His salvation out in our very souls.
Like a butterfly is a butterfly even while it is becoming, so we too are in process.
We can trust that God has a glorious plan.
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son …” (Romans 8:28–29).
— Confident Reminder
We are already His, even while we are becoming. As we dive into these Scriptures, may we remember: the victory is Christ’s, and He is faithfully completing His work in us.

What Draws Us to Love Christ? — Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled (John 14:1)

Key thoughts I am thinking:
what it means to live ready for Christ’s return—not just someday, but every day.
Let them . . . And let not your heart be troubled
And live on in peace trusting God . . .The same God who draws us all
. . . what keeps us from loving Christ?
. . .What draws us to love Christ?
. . . it feels like the next devotion is already being born right out of my heart.
Let me shape this into a follow-up blog devotion that picks up naturally from the “Anathema or Maranatha” one.
💭 Devotion: What Draws Us to Love Christ?
Scripture:
“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.”
— John 14:1 (KJV)
Reflection
Paul warned that not loving Christ leaves us outside of hope.
But Jesus Himself offers the invitation:
“Let not your heart be troubled … believe in Me.”
The same God who draws every soul also comforts every heart that trusts in Him.
Fear, pride, and sin are what keep us from loving Christ.
We love lesser things, or we let wounds and disappointments harden us.
Yet what draws us to love Christ is far greater—His own love poured out for us on the cross.
“We love him, because he first loved us.” (1 John 4:19).
The love of Christ calms troubled hearts.
It invites us to live in peace, trusting the God who holds all things together.
His Spirit whispers,
“Come, follow Me,” and in following, we discover that His yoke is easy and His burden is light.
So, instead of asking, “What if my heart is too troubled?”
Jesus invites us to ask: “What if I trust Him anyway?” That’s where peace begins.
Prayer
Father,
Thank You for drawing me to Your Son by love and not by force.
Forgive me for the things that keep me from loving Jesus fully.
Teach me to live in peace, trusting You with every trouble and every fear.
Let my heart be captured more and more by Jesus, who first loved me.
Amen.
✨ Tune in tomorrow:
We’ll look deeper at how to guard against what keeps us from loving Christ
—and how His Spirit helps us overcome it.
What does this mean?
“Let not your heart be troubled:
ye believe in God, believe also in me.” — John 14:1 (KJV)
This is a wonderful verse to pause with.
Let’s break it down gently:
The Context
Jesus spoke these words the night before His crucifixion, in the upper room with His disciples.
He had just told them He was leaving, and their hearts were heavy with fear, confusion, and sorrow.
Into that moment He said:
“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.”
The Meaning
-
“Let not your heart be troubled”
-
→ Jesus isn’t saying troubles won’t come.
-
He’s saying: don’t let them overwhelm your inner life.
-
Your heart doesn’t have to sink under the weight of fear or uncertainty.
-
-
“Ye believe in God”
-
→ The disciples already trusted in God the Father,
-
the One they had been raised to worship.
-
-
-
“Believe also in me”
-
→ Here Jesus makes a powerful claim:
-
the same trust you give to God the Father, give to Me.
-
He is placing Himself on equal ground with God
-
— revealing that He is the way to peace, the way to the Father.
-
-
The Application
-
When fear rises: Jesus says, you don’t have to let fear be your master.
-
When life feels uncertain: He points us back to trust — not in circumstances, but in Himself.
-
When doubts come: Jesus reminds us that believing in Him is believing in God, because He and the Father are one (John 10:30).
✨ In other words:
Don’t let your heart be consumed with fear.
The same God you already trust is fully present in Me.
Trust Me, and you’ll find peace.
Here’s a devotion
💭 Devotion: Believe Also in Me
Scripture:
“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.”
— John 14:1 (KJV)
Reflection
Jesus spoke these words on the night His disciples were shaken with fear.
He was leaving them, and their hearts were unsettled. Into their trouble, He spoke peace:
“Let not your heart be troubled.”
He didn’t promise a life without hardship, but He promised a heart guarded by trust.
They already believed in God the Father.
Now He invited them to place the same trust in Him: “Believe also in me.”
This is the foundation of peace — not the absence of storms, but the presence of Christ.
Trusting Him means handing over the weight of what we can’t control.
It means choosing to rest in His love, His power, and His promise that He is with us.
When fear tries to overwhelm, Jesus whispers, “Believe in Me.”
Prayer
Lord Jesus,
Thank You for knowing my heart so well.
You see my fears before I even speak them.
Calm my troubled heart today.
Help me to believe in You with the same trust I give to the Father.
Let my faith rest in who You are, not in what I see.
Amen.
✨ Tune in tomorrow:
We’ll discover how Jesus not only calms troubled hearts,
but also prepares a place for us with Him forever.
A devotion on John 14:2 — Jesus preparing a place for us flows in smoothly

“And whither I go ye know,
and the way ye know.”
John 14:4 KJV
💭 Reflection
👉 Read the devotion here: Let God. Trust the One Who Holds Tomorrow
Jesus assures His followers: “You already know the way.”
Why?
Because the way is Christ Himself,
and they had been walking with Him.
This is a gentle reminder for us too
— we don’t need to chase every answer or fear being lost.
To know Christ is to know the way home.

The Kingdom of God:
Christ’s Rule in Us and Through Us - Acts 1:3

Explain what is the Kingdom of God?
“to whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:” Acts 1:3 KJV
That’s such an important question, my friend
— and Acts 1:3 is a key verse because it shows us what was on Jesus’ heart
after the resurrection.
The Verse
“To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.”
— Acts 1:3 (KJV)

What is the Kingdom of God?
1. God’s Reign, not just a Place
The “kingdom of God” doesn’t mean a physical kingdom like Rome or Israel’s past monarchy.
It means God’s rule and reign — wherever His authority is acknowledged,
His will is done,
and His presence transforms life.
-
Psalm 103:19 — “The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.”
-
Luke 17:21 — “The kingdom of God is within you.”
It’s both heavenly and inward — God’s reign in hearts and lives.
2. Already and Not Yet
The kingdom of God is a mystery because it is already here and yet not fully realized.
-
Already: Jesus said, “The kingdom of God is come unto you” (Matthew 12:28).
-
Through Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection,
-
the kingdom has broken into this world.
-
-
Not Yet:
-
But it’s not yet complete
-
— we still wait for its fullness when Jesus returns and reigns openly as King. (Revelation 11:15).
-
3. The Kingdom is about Transformation
When Jesus preached the kingdom,
He spoke of:
-
New life — “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” (John 3:3)
-
New values — humility, meekness, mercy, purity (Matthew 5:3–10).
-
New mission — proclaiming the good news, healing the broken, and setting captives free (Luke 4:18–19).
4. Why Jesus Taught It for 40 Days
After His resurrection,
Jesus spent 40 days speaking of the kingdom.
Why?
Because the disciples needed to understand that His mission wasn’t about overthrowing Rome,
but about inaugurating God’s eternal reign through the Spirit.
In fact,
Acts 1 flows straight into Pentecost,
where the Spirit empowers them to spread this kingdom to the nations.
In Simple Words
The kingdom of God is God’s rule in the hearts of His people now,
and it will be God’s visible rule over all creation when Christ returns.
It is:
-
Present — changing lives today.
-
Future — awaiting its fullness in glory.
-
Personal — when Christ reigns in your heart, you are living in the kingdom already.
The heart of the message God is letting me experience is circling around one word:
“Let.”
That’s the hinge of all these Scriptures and revelations.
God is helping me gather and shape what it is written so it flows as a devotion/blog, keeping all the revelation words intact.
💭 Devotion: The Key Word “Let”
Scripture:
“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.”
— John 14:1 (KJV)
Reflection
The Spirit keeps bringing us back to this small but powerful word: Let.
Satan once showed Jesus all the kingdoms of the world
and tempted Him to bow down,
to doubt His identity,
and to worship what was not God.
But Jesus answered with what was written:
“Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.” (Matthew 4:10).
We face the same choice.
Some “let” their hearts chase after the world and the things that satisfy the flesh.
But we cannot love both ourselves and Jesus.
Let them — that is their choice.
As for us, we are called to love the Lord our God with all our heart.
That is why Jesus said:
“Let not your heart be troubled.”
We feel the rejection of Christ in this world
because He does live in us.
But God is not done with us yet.
Just as He knows
-
the days until the doe gives birth to her fawn
-
or the bear awakens from winter’s sleep,
-
the Spirit knows how and when we are ready to believe and grow.
So we pray:
Thy Kingdom come,
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
The process is not instant,
but God is faithful.
He teaches us to pray:
-
Give us this day our daily bread — His Word.
-
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil
-
— so when we are tested,
-
we know it is Christ’s strength in us,
-
and God will always provide a way of escape.
-
We don’t go looking for trouble.
We let them go and release them to the same God who loves and helps us in different, but still at just the right time - It is the Spirit of Christ in us that does the work in our life.
We believe
We abide
We Let the fruit of the Spirit bare God's Presence in our life.
This is genuine / not something we can imitate or make up.
Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Longsuffering, meekness, gentleness, etc., and self-control is a projection of trusting and surrendering our will to God's Will and letting the Light of God Jesus gives us (Christ) Shine for others to see, believe, and encourage their faith to believe, abide and bear fruit too.
Is the Fruit of the Spirit Active or Inactive in your life?
We trust God knows more than we know.
He does after-all!
I think that makes God smile.
when we come to know and believe in the love God has for us - 1 John 4:16
(Yes, It is written)
and God's Word is experienced by us living and active in our life when we believe to speak it
into application into letting God's Word begin and continue to process us in to becoming
more and more each day & moment by moment every Today into
what we believe God says we can become.
We let not our hearts be troubled,
-
because we believe in God
-
and in His Son whom He has sent.
In the storms of life,
Jesus says: “
Have faith.
Stand still
and see the salvation of the Lord working.”
Our job in Christ is to let His light shine.
How do we do that?
By believing. By abiding. By bearing fruit.
Jesus said: “It is finished.”
So
we let this mind be in us, which was also in Christ Jesus (Philippians 2:5).
The same God who delivers us from fear, doubt, insecurity,
-
confusion, pride, selfish ambition,
-
and the desire for more than God Himself — is the same God who came in the flesh, died, was buried, and rose again so we could become a new creation in Christ.
Our part?
Trust God.
Believe.
Let.
Prayer
Father,
Thank You for showing me the power of one small word: Let.
Teach me to release what is not mine to carry and to trust You with what I cannot control.
I can decide to Let not my heart be troubled,
-
because I believe in You
-
and in the Son You have sent.
Thank You for the cross, the resurrection, and the new life You’ve given me in Christ.
I choose today to let Your light shine through me.
Amen.

Anathema or Maranatha? — 1 Corinthians 16:22

💭 Devotion: Anathema or Maranatha?
Scripture:
“If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema. Maranatha.”
— 1 Corinthians 16:22 (KJV)
Reflection
Paul’s closing words carry a weight we cannot ignore.
To love Christ is to be saved, secure, and longing for His return.
To not love Him is to remain under judgment.
“Anathema” means accursed, cut off from God’s blessing.
“Maranatha” means, “Our Lord is coming.”
In one short sentence, Paul draws the line of eternity:
-
without Christ, judgment;
-
with Christ, hope.
Jesus Himself said:
-
“He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already.” (John 3:18)
-
“I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6)
But for those who love Him, the cry is different:
“Come, Lord Jesus!” (Revelation 22:20).
Our hearts wait in hope, longing for the day He appears in glory.
To love Christ is more than a feeling—it is trusting Him, treasuring Him, and obeying Him from the heart.
“If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him” (John 14:23).
So the question is personal: Do I love Him?
Prayer
Lord Jesus,
You are the dividing line of eternity. Thank You for loving me first. Teach me to love You in truth, to obey Your Word, and to long for Your return. Let my life echo the cry of the early church: Maranatha! Come, Lord Jesus.
Amen.
📌 Come back tomorrow:
We’ll explore how to live ready for Christ’s return every day.
➡️ Transition to Learn More
But what does this mean in fuller detail?
Let’s look closer at the words and the message behind them.
📖 What Does This Mean?
“If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maran-atha.”
— 1 Corinthians 16:22 (KJV)
Key Words
-
Anathema — This is a Greek word that means accursed, cut off, or devoted to destruction. In the New Testament, it refers to being under God’s judgment, separated from His blessing.
-
Maranatha — This is an Aramaic phrase meaning “Our Lord, come” or “The Lord is coming.” Early Christians used it both as a greeting of hope and a solemn reminder of Jesus’ return.
The Message
Paul is closing his letter with urgency.
He’s saying:
-
If someone does not love Jesus, they are outside of salvation and remain under God’s judgment (Anathema).
-
And because Jesus is coming soon (Maranatha), this reality is serious and imminent.
It’s not meant as a casual curse, but as a solemn statement of truth:
eternal life hinges on whether or not we love and belong to Christ.
Application for Us
-
Sobering Warning: Loving Christ is not optional—it’s the dividing line between life and judgment.
-
Hopeful Reminder: For those who do love Him, “Maranatha” is a cry of hope: “Come, Lord Jesus!” (Revelation 22:20).
-
Daily Practice: We can check our hearts—do we treasure Christ above all? Are we living ready for His return?
✨ In short: Paul is saying that to reject love for Jesus is to remain under a curse.
But for believers, this verse is also a watchword of hope: Our Lord is coming!

And yet, there is still a deeper current flowing under these words — like the river in Ezekiel that begins at the ankles and rises until it carries us. Let’s go one layer deeper in Scripture to understand the seriousness of rejecting Christ and the joy of longing for His return.
✨ In short: Paul is saying that to reject love for Jesus is to remain under a curse.
But for believers, this verse is also a watchword of hope: Our Lord is coming!
Would you like me to also show you how this verse ties to other Scriptures about Jesus’ return and the seriousness of rejecting Him?
Great — let’s weave this verse into the bigger picture of Scripture.
1. The seriousness of rejecting Christ
Paul isn’t introducing something new in 1 Corinthians 16:22 — it’s consistent with the rest of the New Testament:
-
John 3:18 — “He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already.”
-
John 14:6 — “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
🔎 Not loving Christ = not believing and receiving Him.
That leaves a person in judgment, or “anathema.”
2. The hope of Christ’s coming (Maranatha)
For believers, Maranatha is not a threat but a longing.
-
Philippians 3:20 — “Our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ.”
-
Titus 2:13 — “Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.”
-
Revelation 22:20 — “Even so, come, Lord Jesus.”
✨ The early church used “Maranatha” almost like a password of hope
— reminding each other that Jesus is coming back.
3. The dividing line: Love for Christ
The Bible shows that true faith is expressed in love for Christ.
-
John 14:23 — “If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him.”
-
Ephesians 6:24 — “Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity.”
-
1 John 4:19 — “We love him, because he first loved us.”
💡 Loving Jesus isn’t about feelings only
— it’s about treasuring Him, obeying Him, and trusting Him above all.
4. Bringing it together
So when Paul writes:
“If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema. Maranatha.”
He’s drawing a line of eternity:
-
Without Christ: A person remains cursed and separated from God.
-
With Christ: We look forward with love and longing, saying, “Come, Lord Jesus!”
✅ Summary:
This verse is both
-
a warning (rejecting Christ brings judgment)
-
and a hope (Christ is coming to save and reign).
-
It reminds us that life, death, and eternity hinge on our relationship with Him.
📖 Going Deeper
Jesus Himself said:
-
“He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already.” (John 3:18)
-
“I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6)
But for those who love Him, the cry is different:
“Come, Lord Jesus!” (Revelation 22:20).
Our hearts wait in hope, longing for the day He appears in glory.
To love Christ is more than a feeling—it is trusting Him, treasuring Him, and obeying Him from the heart.
“If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him.” (John 14:23)
Amen.

✨ Tune in tomorrow:
We’ll explore what it means to live ready for Christ’s return—not just someday, but every day.
✨ Teaching: God’s Work of Salvation and Sanctification

1. God Commences His Work of Salvation and Sanctification
Everything begins with God’s initiative.
-
Philippians 1:6 — “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
-
Salvation is God’s work for us — Christ died, rose again, and invites us to believe and receive Him.
-
Sanctification is God’s work in us — He sets us apart and begins shaping us into the likeness of Jesus.
Truth to hold:
You didn’t start this.
God did.
And what God starts, He always finishes.
2. God Continues His Work With You
We don’t work for salvation — we work out what God has already given.
-
Philippians 2:12–13 — “Work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill His good purpose.”
-
Sanctification is partnership: God works in us, and we respond by prayer, obedience, Scripture, and surrender.
-
This is where our choices matter: “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” (Matthew 6:33).
Notice the word “unto.” It doesn’t mean grabbing for what we want — it means yielding ourselves unto God’s way, waiting on Him, and trusting that He adds what we truly need.
3. God Refines Us Through Fiery Trials
-
James 1:2–4 — “Count it all joy… knowing that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.”
-
1 Peter 1:7 — trials prove the genuineness of your faith, refining it like gold.
-
When you feel judged, rejected, or misunderstood, these aren’t wasted moments — they’re part of God’s refining work.
Application:
Every fiery trial becomes evidence that God is working in you. Silence, waiting, and surrender aren’t weakness — they’re the strength of Christ being formed in you.
4. God Will Complete His Work For You
-
Philippians 1:6 again anchors us: what God begins, He finishes.
-
One day sanctification will be complete when we see Jesus face-to-face.
-
Until then, we walk in hope: “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31).
Closing Truth:
Salvation is God’s gift, sanctification is God’s ongoing work, and completion is God’s promise.
✨ Reflection Questions
-
Where have you seen God begin a work in you that only He could start?
-
How are you partnering with Him daily (through prayer, obedience, Word, service)?
-
What fiery trial are you in right now — and how could it be refining you instead of defeating you?
-
How does knowing “God finishes what He starts” change the way you wait?
✨ Whisper of Hope
“The question is not IF trials come, but HOW you walk through them — and more importantly, the HOPE you are holding on to. Scripture defines our hope clearly: ‘God our Savior, and the Lord Jesus Christ’ (1 Timothy 1:1). He alone is the anchor that holds.”

The Silence of Love vs. the Silence of Shame

1. The Silence of Shame
-
Shame says: “You are weak. You don’t belong. Stay small.”
-
This kind of silence is rooted in fear, rejection, or judgment. It isolates and crushes.
-
Many of us have felt this when others gossip, misunderstand, or paint us with false labels.
2. The Silence of Love
-
Jesus shows us a different kind of silence.
-
Matthew 27:14 — “But He gave him no answer, not even to a single charge, so that the governor was greatly amazed.”
-
His silence before Pilate wasn’t weakness; it was love — entrusting Himself fully to the Father.
-
1 Peter 2:23 — “When they hurled their insults at Him, He did not retaliate… Instead, He entrusted Himself to Him who judges justly.”
3. When Silence Speaks Louder Than Words
-
Isaiah 53:7 — “He was oppressed and afflicted, yet He did not open His mouth.”
-
Spirit-led silence isn’t defeat — it fulfills God’s purposes.
-
Sometimes, choosing silence in the face of gossip or judgment points people not to our strength, but to Christ’s peace in us.
4. The Silence That Heals
-
Exodus 14:14 — “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”
-
This silence is not passive, but powerful: it’s trust.
-
Silence rooted in meekness (power under God’s control) becomes healing, both for us and as a testimony to others.
✨ Reflection Questions
-
Where have you felt the silence of shame in your own life?
-
How might God be inviting you to respond with the silence of love instead?
-
What does it mean for you, personally, to let the Lord fight for you?
-
How can you show meekness (strength under control) in a situation of misunderstanding or gossip?
✨ Whisper of Hope
Friend, silence is not weakness. In Jesus, silence becomes strength. His silence at the cross was love — love for the Father’s will, and love for you. When you face trials or labels, remember: the silence of shame is bondage, but the silence of love is freedom.

Let It Flow: When Judgment and Righteousness Protect Your Heart

✨ Teaching: Let It Flow – When Judgment and Righteousness Protect Your Heart (Amos 5:24)
1. God’s Call for Justice and Righteousness
Amos 5:24 — “But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream.”
God’s judgment is not about condemnation for His children, but about His protection and truth flowing freely.
His righteousness steadies and purifies us, protecting us from deception and emotional manipulation.
2. When Emotions Try to Lead
-
Sometimes we are tempted to be swayed by feelings — guilt, flattery, or manipulation.
-
Those moments are where God’s Spirit draws a line: Will you let emotions carry you, or will you let His judgment and righteousness flow through you?
-
Yielding to God’s righteousness guards your heart against compromise.
3. The Stream That Heals
-
Just as streams cleanse and refresh the land, God’s righteousness cleanses and refreshes our hearts.
-
When we surrender a situation to Him, His Spirit flows like living water — washing away confusion, granting discernment, and filling us with peace.
-
John 7:38 — “Whoever believes in Me… rivers of living water will flow from within them.”
4. Learning to Let It Flow
-
This isn’t about striving, but surrender.
-
When judgment and righteousness flow, it means we’ve stopped trying to fix things by human effort and instead allow God’s Spirit to move.
-
The result? Protection, clarity, and peace — even in the middle of trial.
✨ Reflection Questions
-
Where in your life do you feel pulled by emotional temptation?
-
How could God’s judgment and righteousness help you see more clearly?
-
What battle do you need to release so His “stream” can flow in your place?
-
How can you let God’s Spirit guard your heart against compromise this week?
✨ Whisper of Hope
Friend, God’s judgment and righteousness are not meant to scare you, but to protect you. When you let His stream flow, He cuts off what is false and strengthens what is true. Let it flow — and find peace in the One who defends and covers you.

🌿 When Wisdom Brings Sorrow — But Leads to Life
Teaching Reflection from Ecclesiastes 1:18
“For in much wisdom is much grief, and he who increases knowledge increases sorrow.”
— Ecclesiastes 1:18
There’s a kind of sorrow that only wisdom can bring.
It’s the grief that comes from seeing clearly — from understanding the weight of brokenness, the frailty of life, and the ache of a fallen world. Solomon, in all his wisdom, saw it and named it:
Wisdom doesn't always bring relief.
Sometimes, it brings sorrow.
But that’s not the end of the story.
This kind of sorrow — the sorrow that wisdom awakens — is meant to lead us back to the heart of God.
It humbles us.
It softens the fallow ground of our hearts.
It prepares the soil for the deeper root of Christ’s wisdom to take hold.
Because wisdom without Jesus can feel crushing,
but wisdom with Jesus becomes transforming.
He doesn’t leave us in the grief.
He meets us there — in the honest places — and begins to anchor us in truth, compassion, and eternal perspective.
🌱 Truth to Hold:
Even when wisdom brings sorrow,
it is not to harm us —
It is to bring us into deeper fellowship with the One who holds all things together.
📖 Supporting Scripture:
“But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit...”
— James 3:17
“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”
— 2 Peter 3:18
🙏 A Whispered Prayer:
Lord, when understanding weighs heavy, give me Your heart.
Let every sorrow I feel become a doorway to compassion, not despair.
Lead me from knowledge into truth,
and from truth into deeper fellowship with You.
You are wisdom. You are peace.
And You never leave me there alone.

Part 1: What Is This Sorrow?

📖 Ecclesiastes 1:18 (NKJV)
"For in much wisdom is much grief, and he who increases knowledge increases sorrow."
Supporting Scriptures
📖 Colossians 1:10 (NIV)
“…so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God.”
📖 2 Peter 1:2–3 (NIV)
“Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.
His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness.”
📖 Proverbs 2:6 (ESV)
“For the Lord gives wisdom;
from His mouth come knowledge and understanding.”
💭 What Is the Sorrow?
The “sorrow” in Ecclesiastes 1:18 is not a condemnation of wisdom — it’s an honest reflection from Solomon, who was given extraordinary wisdom by God (1 Kings 3:12).
Here’s what it reveals:
1. Wisdom Reveals Painful Truths
The more you understand — about life, injustice, human brokenness, mortality, and the futility of worldly pursuits — the more your heart can grieve.
Wisdom pulls back the curtain.
It sees what others avoid: the depths of suffering, pride, oppression, and sin.
It echoes what Jesus felt when He wept over Jerusalem.
True wisdom includes a heart burdened with compassion and holy awareness.
2. Knowledge Apart from God Leaves Us Empty
Ecclesiastes is a book of searching. Solomon explores life “under the sun” — life without eternal perspective.
And when knowledge increases without being rooted in God, it leads to disillusionment.
We see how broken the world is but feel powerless to fix it.
3. It Points to Our Need for Redemptive Wisdom
Jesus is the answer to Ecclesiastes' sorrow.
He is called the wisdom of God (1 Corinthians 1:24)
In Him, wisdom is not just awareness — it is hope, healing, and resurrection life.
💬 In Summary:
The sorrow comes from seeing clearly — without the filter of fantasy — how broken and fleeting life is apart from God.
But when this sorrow leads us to Jesus, it becomes the gateway to eternal wisdom, hope, and joy.
Would you like to continue this journey into hope?

Part 2: The Promise of Hope Through Christ

A Call to Return to the Lord | One Surrender at a Time
Jesus is the answer to Ecclesiastes' sorrow.
True wisdom doesn’t end in grief — it leads to Jesus.
🌿 Key Words and Themes
-
Fallow ground — our heart (the soil)
-
Roots breaking through — understanding the Word of God
-
One surrender at a time — the process of sanctification
-
The life is in the seed — the Word of God
1. What Does the Bible Say About Fallow Ground?
God speaks directly about fallow ground when calling His people to return to Him
— to break up the hardened places of their hearts so His righteousness can grow there.
📖 Hosea 10:12 (ESV)
"Sow for yourselves righteousness; reap steadfast love;
break up your fallow ground,
for it is the time to seek the Lord,
that He may come and rain righteousness upon you."
📖 Jeremiah 4:3 (ESV)
"Break up your fallow ground,
and sow not among thorns."
These verses show that spiritual renewal begins when we surrender
— when we allow God to till the soil of our hearts and remove what hinders growth.
2. Roots Break Through the Ground Slowly — But Surely
The roots of a tree breaking through fallow ground illustrate the gentle power of God’s Spirit working within us.
Roots don’t break the ground by force — they grow gradually, persistently, and in response to life, light, and water.
That’s what a surrendered heart does with God’s Word and truth.
📖 Isaiah 61:11 (ESV)
"For as the earth brings forth its sprouts,
and as a gardencauses what is sown in it to sprout up,
sothe Lord God will cause righteousness and praise
to sprout up before all the nations."
📖 Mark 4:1–20
Jesus compared the Word of God to seed.
The condition of the soil (our heart) determines whether it will take root.
3. One Surrender at a Time… The Life Is Still in the Seed
Even if it hasn’t sprouted yet — God’s Word still carries life (Isaiah 55:10–11).
Surrender is yielding to the Gardener — one moment, one layer, one 'yes' at a time.
This is how sanctification works: daily, intentionally, trust by trust (Romans 12:1–2; Luke 9:23).
The seed still carries life.
The soil may feel dry — but the Spirit still waters.
And roots still go deeper… one surrender at a time.
The Flow of the Message
“The life is still in the seed, even when the soil looks dry.
And when the fallow ground begins to break — one surrender at a time— roots stretch deeper.
The deeper the roots grow, the more we increase in the knowledge and wisdom of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
🌿 What Does It Mean to Increase in the Knowledge and Wisdom of Jesus?
1. It’s a relationship, not just information.
📖 2 Peter 3:18 (ESV)
“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”
Knowing Jesus means growing in awareness of His voice, His ways, His truth, and His heart.
2. Roots grow in response to His presence.
📖 Colossians 2:6–7 (NIV)
“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord,
continue to live your lives in Him,
rooted and built up in Him,
strengthened in the faith as you were taught,
and overflowing with thankfulness.”
As our roots go down, fruit begins to grow.
Wisdom shows up in our decisions.
Knowledge in our discernment.
Love in our tone.
3. Wisdom begins with reverence.
📖 Proverbs 9:10 (ESV)
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight.”
God’s wisdom is different from the world’s
— quiet, hidden, humble, and revealed by His Spirit.
4. Knowing Christ transforms us.
📖 Colossians 1:9–10 (NIV)
“We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of His will...
so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please Him in every way:
bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God.”
The fruit grows as the roots grow —
and it all begins when the hard places of the heart are surrendered to Him.
💧 Devotional Whisper
The life is still in the seed.
Even when the ground feels hard or dry,
the Word of God carries the promise of life.
When we surrender — one layer, one moment, one ‘yes’ at a time —
the fallow ground begins to break.
Roots reach deeper.
And in the secret places beneath the surface,
we begin to grow in the knowledge and wisdom of Jesus.
It’s not about knowing more —
but knowing Him.
It’s a journey of becoming rooted, built up,
and transformed by His Spirit — day by day.

Rooted to Bloom_ Growth in Christ

Rooted to Bloom
What if my victory is already taking root?

🌸 Rooted to Bloom
What if my victory is already taking root?
🌿 Call Out Time: A Year Later… It Bloomed
A Teaching from the Garden of Our Heart
What I thought was gone — bloomed again… a full year later.
But what happened in that unseen time?
The roots were growing.
Into the soil… into the depths of something greater than what I could see.
And the soil? That’s our heart.
What we feed our heart determines how our roots grow.
The nutrients — they come from the Living Water…
From Christ.
💧 “.He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water…” — Psalm 1:3
🌱 What This Teaches Us:
-
The Word of God makes good roots grow strong and deep.
-
The Living Water — Jesus — nourishes the soul, even in drought.
-
Roots grow in silence before the bloom ever appears.
✨ And Here's the Foundation:
It is not what we do… or fail to do.
It is all because of what Jesus has already done.
🌾 Now, we believe to see our salvation working —
Not earned. Not forced. Just rooted in Him.
📖 Supporting Scripture:
-

Cast It Where It Belongs
Cast It Where It Belongs
Psalm 55:22 – The burden we carry is not ours to keep.
📖 Key Verse
“Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.”
— Psalm 55:22 (KJV)
💬 Before We Begin
Friend, we all carry things that weigh on us—burdens, thoughts, responsibilities, emotions, expectations. Some feel holy. Some feel heavy. And sometimes, in our overwhelm, it all explodes.
But here’s the good news:
Jesus doesn’t just ask us to carry our burdens better. He invites us to cast them on Him.
🔍 What Does It Mean to Cast Our Burdens?
The word "cast" in Scripture (Hebrew: shalak) means to throw, hurl, or release with purpose. It’s not a gentle placing—it’s a full transfer of weight from us to God.
And where we cast our burdens matters.
-
Cast them into worry? They grow.
-
Cast them onto people? They strain.
-
Cast them onto ourselves? We break.
-
Cast them onto the Lord? He sustains.
✝️ Who Jesus Is — Our Bridge and Our Peace
Jesus is not only our Savior—He is also:
-
Our High Priest who carries what we cannot (Hebrews 4:15)
-
Our Peace who broke down the dividing wall (Ephesians 2:14)
-
Our Shepherd who restores our soul (Psalm 23:1–3)
-
The Truth that sets us free (John 14:6; John 8:32)
He invites us to come to Him, all who are weary and burdened, and He will give us rest (Matthew 11:28).
When we cast our burdens on Jesus, we’re not avoiding responsibility—we’re trusting Him with what only He is able to bear. It’s not escape. It’s surrender. And it’s holy.
⚖️ Surrender vs. Striving
Many of us confuse striving with righteousness.
We take on phrases like:
-
“I just need to be strong.”
-
“I’ll prove I’m faithful.”
-
“God helps those who help themselves.”
But these are not biblical truths.
They are counterfeits that wear us out.
Surrender says:
-
“Not my will, but Yours, Lord.”
-
“I can’t carry this… but I trust You can.”
-
“Jesus, have Your way in me.”
The power of surrender isn't weakness—it’s strength made perfect through Christ (2 Corinthians 12:9). When we cast our burdens to the Lord, we are no longer moved by the weight of them—we are sustained by His peace.
🪨 A Truth to Hold
“He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.”
To be righteous is to be in right standing with God—and that’s only possible through Jesus.
It’s not our performance.
It’s not our perfection.
It’s His grace.
🙏 Whispered Prayer
Lord Jesus,
You are my peace.
I cast my burdens on You—not just to survive today but to know You more deeply through it.
Show me the difference between striving and surrender.
Let truth rise louder than my emotions.
Sustain me, Lord—and help me walk in the peace that only You can give.
In Jesus' Name, Amen.
Reflect
-
What burden have you tried to carry alone?
-
Are you clinging to performance or letting Jesus be your peace?
-

🌿 "From the Rock to the Robe"
A Teaching Pair on Identity and Deliverance
🌄 Part 1: The Rock That Doesn’t Move
Scripture Focus:
“There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.”
— 1 Samuel 2:2 (KJV)
Reflection:
We all search. We look for solid ground, for peace, for someone who sees us and stays. The world shifts constantly—people fail, opinions change, emotions run dry—but there is a place that doesn't shake. A Rock that holds steady.
When the searching ends in Him, the soul finds deliverance. Not always from the situation, but always from the storm within. And once you’ve stood on that Rock—you’re never the same again.
After all the searching, I found what never changes.
There is no one like our God—holy, faithful, and steady.
He is my Rock, and now I stand in His light.

👗 Part 2: The Robe You Were Meant to Wear
Scripture Focus:
“…the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness...”
— Isaiah 61:3
“Put on the new man, created in righteousness and true holiness.”
— Ephesians 4:24
Reflection:
We don’t just step out of old clothes—we step out of old identities. The torn, stained garments of shame, striving, and exhaustion are not what the Father sees when He looks at you.
When you put on what He has given—His robe of righteousness, His garment of praise—something inside you changes. You begin to see yourself as He sees you: chosen, holy, beloved.
It’s not just about dressing up—it's about stepping into the truth of who you are.
Something changes when you put on what God says is yours.
You are no longer who you were.
You’re clothed in praise, dressed in His righteousness—
and seen through the eyes of love.
Come back and grow with us:
This two-part teaching explores the journey from soul-searching to Spirit-led identity—standing on the Rock and putting on the new robe of praise and righteousness.

🌩️ Before the Thunder – When God’s Power Moves Through You
🌿 May His Light move through you—before the thunder is ever heard.
A teaching moment on abiding, surrender, and unseen impact
We don’t always see the results of our obedience.
Sometimes, all we know is that God moved—
and it passed through us like lightning.
In Luke 8:45–46, a woman pressed through a crowd to touch the hem of Jesus’ garment.
He stopped and said, “Who touched Me?”
The disciples didn’t understand—people were crowding Him from every side.
But Jesus said,
“Someone hath touched Me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of Me.”
He felt the power, but He didn’t yet know the face.
This is a picture of what it’s like to be a vessel of God’s Light:
You may not know who’s receiving it.
You may not know when or how the Spirit will use it.
But when you stay close to Jesus, His power flows through you—
sometimes before you ever know who it’s for.
⚡ Like Lightning Before Thunder
In nature, lightning comes before thunder.
The light is seen before the sound is heard.
Why? Because light travels faster than sound.
That’s how God often works in the Spirit.
His power moves—silent, quick, and unseen at first—
but the evidence follows.
It may come later. It may never be heard at all.
But the impact remains.
Just because you don’t hear the thunder doesn’t mean the Light didn’t flash.
You don’t need to know the outcome to be faithful.
You just need to stay connected to the Source.
🙌 When the Light Is Enough
Sometimes we think we’re the ones who need to “save” someone.
But salvation belongs to the Lord.
Only His Spirit can draw a heart.
Only His Light can change a life.
Even the good things we do—we’re told,
“Don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing” (Matthew 6:3).
Why? Because the power isn’t in being seen.
The power is in being available for God to move through.
Let God be the One who knows.
Let His Light move before the sound.
And trust: when you abide in Him,
He makes your life thunder with purpose—whether you see it now or not.
🔎 Scripture References:
-
Luke 8:45–46 – “Who touched Me?... I perceive that virtue is gone out of Me.”
-
Matthew 6:3 – “Let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth.”
-
John 15:5 – “He that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without Me ye can do nothing.”
🌿 May His Light move through you—before the thunder is ever heard.

The Pruning That Heals: When God Cuts to Heal, Not to Harm
🌿 Before We Begin
If you’ve been through emotional pain that feels like too much—or if you're trying to understand what’s happening inside when your heart feels raw—pause and let God meet you here first. This isn’t a lesson to master. It’s an invitation to be held, healed, and taught gently by the Spirit.
📖 Scripture Focus
-
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” —Psalm 147:3
-
“Let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.” —James 1:4 (KJV)
🪷 The Teaching
There’s a kind of pain not caused by sin or shame—but by surrender. A pain that comes not because we’ve done something wrong, but because God is doing something right in us.
It’s called pruning.
Maybe you’ve felt it: the ache of not being seen the way your heart longs to be. The confusion of emotions you can’t explain. The deep, raw need to be known and still loved—and the heartbreak when that’s not what you receive.
It’s in these moments that many turn to unhealthy comfort—just to numb the swirl. But what if the discomfort isn’t meant to be avoided… but embraced?
Because God doesn’t cut us to harm us.
He cuts us to heal us.
He removes what we thought we needed to reveal what we really need: Him.
It’s not that your desire to be seen is wrong.
It’s that Jesus is teaching you to be seen rightly—first by Him, and then by those who can carry your heart with care.
He’s not just removing what’s harmful; He’s shaping you for something holy.
So let Him work.
Let Him reveal what’s beneath the surface.
Let Him hold you in the pain that exposes what doesn’t belong anymore.
Because what feels like loss may actually be freedom. And what feels like a breaking may actually be the beginning of your blooming.
God is faithful.
He’s not letting you fall apart.
He’s making you whole.
"God’s Healing Is Surgical"
“This is where blooming begins.”
💬 Reflect & Respond
Are you in a season where something is being removed—and it hurts?
Instead of running from the pain, ask Jesus to show you what He’s healing.
Reflection Question: What if the pain you feel is the place God is planting something new?

💔 Heart Moment: The Ache That Led to Freedom
Some aches don’t come from doing something wrong—but from handing your heart to someone who didn’t know how to hold it.
We all long to be seen, known, and authentically loved.
But when that longing gets met with silence, confusion, or rejection, it exposes something deeper: not just what they couldn’t give—but what God is ready to heal.
I’ve felt this ache recently. The kind that makes you question yourself. The kind that makes you want to fix what’s not yours to carry.
But God met me in that swirl and taught me something powerful:
Let go—gently.
Not with bitterness, not with blame… but with intercession.
Because sometimes the very ones who hurt us are hurting too. And the ache in us becomes the invitation to pray for them—not to change them, but to release them into the hands of the only One who can.
God doesn’t cut us to harm us.
He cuts us to heal us.
And part of that healing is learning to stop holding on so tightly to what we thought we needed. His pruning makes room for the peace we were truly longing for.
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”
—Psalm 147:3
“Let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.”
—James 1:4 KJV
You can still love people and walk away.
You can honor God by letting go, even when they never really understood who you were. That moment of release may be painful—but it’s also where freedom begins.
I hope this helps you open your heart to believe again.
May it bless you, as it has blessed me in the telling.
Sharing because the same God who helps me is willing to help you too.
It requires trust and patience and when you receive this you will never be the same.
“Let patience have her perfect work…
Even the discomfort has purpose.
You’re not breaking—you’re blooming.”
(James 1:4)
“Feel it. Don’t fear it.
God is using even this to help you bloom.”
“Don’t fear the uncomfortable.
Sometimes what hurts is what heals.
And what feels like heartbreak… becomes the beginning of blooming.”

Day 1 – See to Surrender
God Has Already Given You What You Need
Scripture Focus:
“Peter said, ‘I don’t have any silver or gold for you. But I’ll give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, get up and walk!’
— Acts 3:6 (NLT)
When Peter and John met the lame man at the temple gate, they didn’t give him what he asked for—they gave him what God had already placed within them.
Peter didn’t apologize for what he lacked.
He didn’t wait to feel more qualified. He simply offered what he had: faith in Jesus and the authority of His name. And that was enough.
Teaching Point:
Too often, we wait to feel ready. We disqualify ourselves because we think we don’t have what it takes—enough money, time, wisdom, or strength. But what if, like Peter, you already have exactly what someone else needs?
If the Holy Spirit lives in you, then so does the power to love, serve, speak, pray, and act in Jesus’ name.
And when we offer what we do have, God does the rest.
You may feel empty, but you’re not.
You may feel inadequate, but God says, "You are My vessel."
The door you see before you isn’t asking for your perfection—
It’s inviting your surrender.
Application:
-
Ask God: What have You already placed in me that I’m overlooking?
-
Think of one person or place where God may be nudging you to give what you have.
-
Take one small step of faith today, not based on your ability—but on His.
Reflection
-
How have you let what you lack keep you from walking through a door God placed before you?
-
What might change if you gave Jesus your surrender instead of your excuses?
Final Thought:
God is not asking for what you don’t have.
He’s asking for what you’re willing to give.
And through that surrender, healing can begin—first in you, and then through you.
Thank you for joining us in this journey of seeing Jesus working in our life.

Heart Moment: Is God Enough?

When it comes to being “enough,” we often chase more — more answers, more comfort, more signs. But the most soul-searching moment in my life came when I had to ask God one question: “Lord, are You… enough?”
After my husband went to be with Jesus, everything in me ached. I looked up through the pain and whispered, “God, now that he’s with You, You’re all I have. I can’t see You, or touch You. But You say You’re with me. So… are You enough?”
That moment wasn't just about grief.
It was about everything—whether you’ve lost someone, can’t pay a bill, feel unseen, or unheard. Whatever your situation is, the question echoes:
Is God enough when what we value most is suddenly gone?
God’s answer came gently—but unmistakably—over time.
First, He showed me: Yes, I am enough.
He was with me in every raw, helpless, hope-strained prayer I prayed.
Though I felt like there was no hope, Jesus reminded me:
He is Hope.
Then, in a season of transition, with needs like housing, internet, and connection—it was just barely “enough.” No more, no less. But God said, “My provision is precise. My grace fits perfectly.”
And finally, He filled me with something beyond anything I could describe.
A knowing.
A fullness.
Peace and joy that didn’t depend on what I had—but on Who had me.
His enough became exceedingly, abundantly more.
I was no longer just surviving grief.
I was living healed.
Whole.
I still remember whispering again, “You really are enough, Lord.”
And I realized: His enough isn’t small. It’s everything. “In the beginning, God…”
The first four words of Scripture still speak:
Before your pain. Before your loss. Before your question—God was already there.
So I ask you, gently but boldly:
💭 What if the place of emptiness is the place God wants to fill with Himself?
💭 What if what you wanted would have only kept you from what you truly needed?
Friend, God doesn’t always give us what we want—but He always gives us what we need.
And in time, as we surrender, He gives us Himself.
Let Him lift you today like He lifted the man at the gate… like He lifted me.
The same God who met me there is waiting to meet you here.
💬 You can pray: “Lord, help me in my unbelief. Help me believe You are enough.”
And when you believe—really believe—faith will rise. Your heart will open. And you too will rise to walk and worship the One who is always near.
I hope this helps you open your heart to believe again.
May it bless you, as it has blessed me in the telling.
Love in Christ, Karen

📖 Want to grow with us in the Word?
Let us grow in grace and truth, one step at a time.
Let’s go back to the story in Acts 3.
There was a man who couldn’t walk—he had been lame from birth, and every day, someone else had to carry him and lay him at the gate called Beautiful, so he could beg for money.
He couldn't help himself. He couldn’t get to the temple on his own.
He was dependent on others just to survive.
Then came Peter and John, two disciples of Jesus, walking into the temple.
The man looked at them—expecting something.
But what he expected… wasn't what he truly needed.
Peter looked right at him and said:
"Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk." (Acts 3:6)
And then something happened that changed everything.
Peter didn’t just speak healing.
He reached out and took him by the right hand,
and lifted him up.
And immediately his feet and ankles received strength.
Let’s unfold more of what God is revealing,
The man was asking for money—a temporary fix.
But through the power of Jesus, he received something eternal: healing, strength, wholeness.
How often do we ask God to meet our wants, when He’s waiting to meet our real need?
What Is an Infirmity?
An infirmity is a weakness—whether it’s physical, emotional, or spiritual.
It’s anything that makes us unable to move forward without help.
But Jesus helps us in every infirmity—not just with what we can see, but with what we don’t even know we need.
What’s So Special About the Right Hand?
Peter took him by the right hand—that’s significant.
In Scripture, the right hand represents power, authority, and honor.
And where is Jesus seated?
At the right hand of God.
That means Jesus is in the place of power and victory—and it is in His Name that we too can rise.
The man couldn’t stand on his own.
But Jesus—through His disciples—gave him the strength, the ability, and the healing he lacked.
They didn’t give him what he wanted…
They gave him what he needed.
How many times do we focus on our lack, when Jesus wants to give us life?
Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. (John 14:6)
What we need is not just a solution to our problem—
We need to be touched by God.
🏛️ The Man Entered the Temple… But We Are the Temple
After he was healed, he didn’t walk away.
He followed Peter and John into the temple, walking and leaping and praising God.
But here’s the truth for us today:
We are now the temple. (1 Corinthians 6:19)
The temple isn’t a place—it’s your body, your heart.
And Jesus? He’s just waiting for you to invite Him in.
He wants to dwell in you, walk with you, speak to you, and give you strength.
You may not have what the world says you need,
But if you have Jesus, you have more than enough.
Relatable Truth for Today’s World
To the person who feels like they don’t belong, who thinks they have to get it all together first—
Jesus sees you sitting at the gate.
He’s not walking past.
He’s reaching out His hand.
Will you take it?
Because the power of God in you—through Jesus—is greater than anything that comes against you.

📖 Day 2 – See the Power to Let Go
You’re Stronger When You Surrender
Scripture Focus
“Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.”
— Luke 9:23 (NIV)
Teaching Point
Surrender isn’t passive.
It’s not giving up in defeat — it’s giving over in faith.
When Jesus invites us to follow Him, it starts with surrender. Letting go of control. Letting go of fear. Letting go of what’s comfortable, predictable, or self-serving — not because He wants us to lose something, but because He wants to give us more.
Following Jesus means denying our flesh, not our value. It’s not about diminishing who we are; it’s about realigning our lives with who He is.
Real surrender is often uncomfortable. It stretches us. It may even feel like losing —
but in God's Kingdom, letting go is where strength begins.
When We Surrender, We:
-
Lay down what’s temporary to receive what’s eternal
-
Stop striving and start trusting
-
Trade control for peace
-
Make space for the Spirit to work through us
This isn’t one-time surrender. Jesus says, “daily.”
Each morning is a new opportunity to follow Him again — not out of obligation, but out of love.
Application
-
What are you holding onto that Jesus is gently asking you to release?
-
Are there areas where your desire for control is outweighing your trust in Him?
-
What would daily surrender look like in this season?
Reflection
-
What’s one place where God is inviting you to follow Him more fully — even if it means releasing something good?
-
How does surrender make room for healing or clarity in your life?
Final Thought
Jesus never asks you to give up something without giving you more of Himself in return.
When you surrender, you’re not losing.
You’re finally free to walk in what’s real, lasting, and full of life.

Day 2 Heart Moment

The Power of Surrender
We think, we feel, and we want to respond based on all those emotions—but Jesus is teaching me something deeper.
I'm learning to take those thoughts captive before I respond—like breathing in fresh air and inviting a different outcome.
How we respond matters to how God meets us, because He is a God of covenant through His Son, Jesus Christ. He didn’t die for us for nothing.
So, I talk to Jesus. I ask Him for wisdom based on what I know—and He meets me in ways I never could’ve arranged on my own.
Like today—just a little thing, but I needed a specific chain to replace the one that broke on the concrete mixer. Someone told me, “Good luck with that,” and in that moment, I prayed: “God, help me find the chain.”
And within 20 seconds of walking into a store I hadn’t even planned to go to, there it was—the exact chain, and just one connector link with it, which is all we needed.
Only one.
At checkout, I said,
“I remembered to pray!”—and the man behind the register lit up. He had Bible verses posted in front of him, and he shared a bit of his testimony.
He knew the power of taking every thought captive.
He said, “You’ve got to believe to trust. That’s what faith is.”
That’s the power of surrender.
Yesterday, I lost a lot of work on this series. I wanted to be frustrated. But I paused and prayed. Instead of pushing through in stress, I surrendered—and took a break to clean the garage with my son. We ended up having fun in the middle of all the work. That too was surrender.
Later, I recovered the lost work.
I’ve seen this so many times.
Once, I asked God for wisdom on how to haul 40 cinder blocks. He whispered: “Buy a trailer.”
That day, I was hooked up and fully supplied. When I returned home, Luis—who had been looking for a trailer—asked if he could buy it. I sold it to him right then. I only needed blocks. God gave Luis the trailer.
This is the power of surrender.
I encourage you: when the pressure builds, hold back your emotions, pause, and ask God: “How?”
Then show up in believing faith—regardless of how it turns out.
I didn’t tell you about the 3–4 years where everything felt like hurry up and wait—but now, on the other side of breakthrough, I can say with joy:
There is power in surrender.
There is peace in trust.
There is joy in believing.
And above all, there is a faithful God who sees what we cannot.
Stand back—and see the salvation of the Lord working on your behalf.
I hope this helps you open your heart to believe again.
May it bless you, as it has blessed me in the telling.
Love in Christ,
Karen

🔎 Day 2 Teaching Insight – Coming Soon
COMING SOON ... What good thing is God teaching you?
📖 Day 3 – See That You’re Known by Name
Day 3 – Known by Name You Are Not Overlooked
Scripture Focus:
“She gave this name to the Lord who spoke to her: ‘You are the God who sees me,’ for she said,
‘I have now seen the One who sees me.’” — Genesis 16:13 (NIV)
Hagar wasn’t where she wanted to be.
She wasn’t in control. She wasn’t respected. She wasn’t even sought after.
But God came anyway.
Not to scold her. Not to ignore her. But to speak to her.
Comfort her.
See her.
This was the first time in Scripture someone gives a name to God: El Roi — the God who sees me.
Even in rejection and wandering, Hagar realized she wasn’t invisible.
And neither are you.
Teaching Point:
Being seen by God changes everything.
It reminds you that: You are not forgotten
Your tears are counted
Your steps are noticed
Your story matters to Him
There’s deep healing in being known—not for what you can do, but for who you are.
And God’s vision goes beyond your appearance or performance.
He sees your heart, your weariness, your desires, and your potential.
He sees you.
Application:
Have you believed the lie that you’re invisible or overlooked?
How does knowing God sees you personally shift the way you see yourself today?
Where might He be inviting you to receive—not earn—His presence?
Reflection:
In what ways has God shown you that He sees and knows you
—even when others haven’t?
How can you live today as someone seen, valued, and deeply known by the Lord?
Final Thought:
You are not hidden from heaven. You are seen by the God who walks into deserts, speaks to runaways, and calls people by name.
Let His vision of you become the one that defines you.

❤️ Day 3 Heart Moment – Coming Soon
COMING SOON! What Good Thing Is God Teaching You?
🔎 Day 3 Teaching Insight – Coming Soon
COMING SOON! What good thing is God teaching you?
📖 Day 4 – See the Power of Kindness
Day 4 – More Than Just Nice
Kindness That Breaks Chains
Scripture Focus:
“Don’t you see how wonderfully kind, tolerant, and patient God is with you? Does this mean nothing to you? Can’t you see that his kindness is intended to turn you from your sin?” — Romans 2:4 (NLT)
Kindness isn’t weakness.
And it’s not always comfortable.
It’s powerful, piercing, and designed by God to lead people to transformation.
We often settle for “being nice.”
But niceness avoids conflict, keeps the peace, and stays surface-level.
Kindness moves with purpose.
It’s led by the Spirit and motivated by love
— not self-protection.
God’s kindness toward us is more than a soft word.
It’s a patient, pursuing love that doesn’t ignore truth.
It speaks healing
while calling for change.
Teaching Point:
God’s kindness toward you isn’t a casual gesture
— it’s a deep call to turn, to come closer, and to live whole.
When you extend kindness to others:
You reflect the heart of the Father
You offer space for someone else to feel seen and valued
You become a doorway for truth and healing to flow
True kindness doesn’t enable sin or injustice.
It opens the door for grace without closing the door on truth.
Application:
Where have you experienced the life-changing kindness of God in your story?
Who in your life needs kindness that reflects God’s mercy
— not just politeness?
What would it look like to let kindness be your strength this week?
Reflection:
Are you more comfortable being “nice” or being kind?
Why do you think that is?
In what ways can your kindness become a vessel for someone else's healing?
A Deeper Look:
Is It Nice… or Kind?
Sometimes we confuse “kindness” with simply being “nice.”
But nice can be shallow.
It can be people-pleasing, self-protecting, even fake.
Kindness, on the other hand, is spiritual.
It’s not always easy or comfortable.
It often requires prayer, trust in God, surrender, and compassion that doesn’t come naturally.
Kindness may look like soft words,
but it is deeply rooted in truth and love
— genuine, intentional, Spirit-led, and full of grace.
And sometimes?
Kindness means choosing mercy for someone who has hurt you.
“But I say, love your enemies!
Pray for those who persecute you!”
— Matthew 5:44 (NLT)
This kind of kindness doesn’t come from the flesh.
It comes from Jesus
— and it makes room for healing.
Final Thought:
Kindness may look simple,
but in the hands of the Holy Spirit, it’s a chain-breaking weapon of love.
Let yours come from the deep well of God’s mercy
— and watch what happens.

Day 4 Heart Moment

Kindness That Walks You Through the Door
Someone once told me they felt like a burden—
that because I had done so much for them, they didn’t feel free to reach out again.
But here’s what I told them:
“It’s not a burden when it’s Jesus in me leading the kindness.”
Kindness isn’t just doing something nice. It’s listening to the Lord and following Him as He nudges us to show up in someone’s life with simple acts of grace.
That’s what happened for me.
There were times I faced big, scary doors—
college.
The UNC Cancer Center.
Situations where fear would’ve made me freeze.
But God always sent someone to walk with me through those doors. And even when I went alone, I wasn’t truly alone. He was there.
Now, when God places someone on my heart, I see it for what it is:
a chance to be that walking partner for someone else.
That’s what kindness is to me—
helping someone believe they can walk through what once seemed impossible.
Kindness is powerful.
But faith? Faith is what each of us must choose.
You’ve probably heard, “You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink.”
That’s the picture I see.
Kindness opens the door.
Encouragement helps push back the fear.
But faith — that’s your part. You choose to believe and walk forward.
Encouragement is the power of kindness.
Faith is the step that follows it.
God’s love is never manipulative. It’s never forced.
But oh, how kind He is — even in the whispers.
Sometimes He just says, “Smile.”
That smile?
It might be the kindness someone else needed to keep going.
When you look in the mirror, smile — and remember:
the person encouraging you is the same one God will use to encourage someone else.
Nice can come from habit.
But kindness? Kindness is spiritual.
And yes—
kindness is one of the fruits of the Spirit.
When you understand that, you’ll never be the same.
Kindness walks hand-in-hand with Jesus.
It listens for His voice.
And when He whispers “Go,” or “Help,” or “Smile,” — you follow.
Kindness isn’t flirting.
Kindness isn’t shallow.
Kindness is a fruit of a surrendered life —
a life that trusts the power and presence of God.
I hope this helps you open your heart to believe again.
May it bless you, as it has blessed me in the telling.

Reaching for Wholeness
Let His Healing Begin in You
Scripture Focus:
“Jesus said to him, ‘Stand up, pick up your mat, and walk!’ Instantly, the man was healed. He rolled up his sleeping mat and began walking!” — John 5:8–9 (NLT)
This man had been lying beside the pool for 38 years
—watching, waiting, maybe hoping that someone would help him get to the water when it stirred.
But Jesus didn’t wait for the water to move.
He moved toward the man.
Jesus didn’t ask, “How long have you suffered?”
He asked, “Do you want to get well?”
It wasn’t a question of shame.
It was an invitation to hope again
—an offer to trade stagnation for healing, and despair for movement.
Teaching Point:
Healing isn’t always instant or obvious, but it always begins with Jesus speaking into our stuck places.
Sometimes we’ve been lying on the same mat of pain, fear, or trauma for so long that it feels like part of us.
But when Jesus speaks, He doesn’t just heal our condition
—He restores our identity.
Healing may begin in a moment, but it unfolds in steps.
He may ask you to stand, walk, forgive, let go, or trust again
—not because you’re already strong, but because His voice carries power.
Application:
What “mat” have you been lying on that Jesus is now inviting you to rise from?
Are you waiting for something outside of you to change, while Jesus is asking for your response?
Reflection:
What would it look like to hear Jesus’ voice over the noise of your old narrative?
Where do you need to say yes to the process of healing
—even if you don’t feel ready?
Final Thought:
You don’t have to wait for the perfect moment.
The Healer has already come to where you are.
His hand is reaching toward you
—not just to help you cope, but to make you whole.

Day 5 Heart Moment

One Step, One Breath, One Day at a Time
One of the most powerful things the Lord has taught me happened the day after my husband Rob received his complete healing — not just another temporary touch here on earth, but full, eternal wholeness in the presence of Jesus.
When Rob passed from this life, I was holding his hand.
We had secret gestures — simple ways we said “I love you.”
And in that sacred instant, just as his body expired and his spirit departed, he gave me one last sign.
It was his way of saying “I love you” one final time.
I
believe God gave him just enough presence in that moment to leave me with a lasting message of love.
The next morning, I could barely breathe.
So I went for a walk with the Lord.
That’s when God began to speak.
First, He comforted me with a message I’ll never forget.
Not audibly — but deeply. Clearly.
In a way that only God can do when your heart is broken open:
“You think it will be an eternity until you see him again… but Rob says you’ve got it backwards.
It’s only a vapor of time until we see each other again.
Eternity is the place we go.”
Then God gave me His Word to confirm it.
“Now this is eternal life: that they know You, the only true God,
and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent.”
— John 17:3 (NIV)
As I kept walking, I heard Him again — not with fear or pressure, but gentle wisdom:
“You see that yard behind you? You don’t have to stay stuck there.
And you see that yard ahead? You don’t have to fly into it like a cannonball.”
What He meant was this:
I didn’t have to be launched into tomorrow by the weight of my past.
And I didn’t have to stay frozen in what had just happened.
I could move forward —
one step, one breath, one day at a time — in surrender.
The Lord was teaching me something that’s now part of who I am:
Not to be easily moved out of my place of surrender.
Surrender to what?
To trusting Him. Moment by moment.
Because when our soul — our thoughts, emotions, or will — gets ahead of God, that’s when confusion sets in.
But when we stay aligned with His leading, even when it’s hard to see,
we find peace, joy, and the fruit of the Spirit guiding us forward.
“So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us.
God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.”
— 1 John 4:16 (ESV)
Jesus is not just our Healer.
He is the connection to our relationship with God —
not just as Creator, but as Father.
And yes — some may still doubt. That’s okay.
We’re here to encourage you.
To help you discover what trust really looks like in your own walk with God.
God won’t do for us what we’re responsible for — but He has done what was impossible.
And He sticks closer than a brother,
through the power of His Spirit,
given to us in Jesus’ name.
So if you're holding your breath in the middle of pain or healing,
just remember: you don’t have to figure it all out.
Take the next step.
Take the next breath.
Trust Him today.
Let Him make you whole.
I hope this helps you open your heart to believe again.
May it bless you, as it has blessed me in the telling.
Love in Christ,
Karen

🔎 Day 5 Teaching Insight – Coming Soon
Coming Soon! What good thing is the good Lord teaching you today?
📖 Day 6 – See You’re Not Alone
The Presence That Walks Beside You
Scripture Focus:
“Suddenly, their eyes were opened, and they recognized Him. And at that moment He disappeared!” — Luke 24:31 (NLT)
On the road to Emmaus, two disciples were grieving.
They had followed Jesus.
They had hoped.
And now, they were walking away in sorrow
— hearts heavy with what felt like the end of the story.
But what they didn’t see was that Jesus was walking with them.
Right there.
Step by step.
Listening to their pain and opening their eyes to truth.
Sometimes we don't recognize His presence until later.
But that doesn't mean He isn't near.
Teaching Point:
Jesus doesn’t wait for us to “get it” before He comes close.
He walks with us
in our questions,
in our losses,
and even in our misunderstandings.
Like the two disciples,
you may be walking through disappointment.
But Jesus doesn’t scold or shame
— He gently reveals the bigger picture through His Word, and eventually, through communion.
The truth is,
He never left you.
He was walking with you all along.
Application:
Where have you felt abandoned or unseen, even though you were trying to follow Jesus?
Can you name a time where, looking back, you realized He had been with you all along?
Reflection:
How can you open your heart to His presence now, even if the path feels uncertain?
What might happen if you trusted that He’s walking with you
— even if you don’t see Him clearly yet?
Final Thought:
Your journey is not empty.
Even if your eyes haven’t fully opened yet,
His presence is real.
Jesus is walking with you
— not behind you,
not waiting ahead
— but beside you.

Heart Moment — Day 6: You’re Not Alone

💖Sometimes
the Holy Spirit stops you mid-thought
—and not just for your protection,
but to remind you: You’re not alone in this.
Recently, a man tried to play on my emotions.
At first, I wasn’t sure what felt off,
but I paused and asked the Lord to show me what was true. And He did.
The Holy Spirit stirred in me not to appease or explain—but to stand firm in truth. I didn’t lash out.
I didn’t shrink back.
I set a boundary led by the Lord.
I am now learning that the Lord was teaching me this lesson:
That was judgment flowing—not in anger, but in clarity.
And righteousness followed—peace, protection, and assurance that I was walking with God,
not alone in confusion.
This is what it means to walk by the Spirit: not just knowing right from wrong,
but trusting the Holy Spirit to guide you through the gray with grace.
I thank God I have learned this and am happy to share it if it encourages even one person—to know you are not alone and you did nothing wrong.
That moment—that test—may have stung because you trusted in kindness.
But when kindness is met with selfish manipulation, it’s not a reflection of your worth.
It’s a test of your obedience to faith.
The man seemed surprised when I didn’t give in.
He was used to getting his way.
But the Holy Spirit helped me see the truth and stand in it
—not emotionally, but faithfully.
My response wasn’t “old school.”
It was righteous.
It was a Spirit-led boundary.
It was light in the midst of darkness.
And it reminded me:
Caring doesn’t mean compromising.
Kindness is not weakness.
Boundaries born from the Spirit are not rejection—they are protection.
God calls us to shine our light
—not to cave to pressure,
but to reflect His love and strength in a world that normalizes confusion.
Scripture Anchor:
“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”
—John 1:5 (NIV)
“Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist...”
—Ephesians 6:14a (NIV)
Scripture Anchor:
“But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream.”
—Amos 5:24 (KJV)

📖 Day 7 – See the Crossroad of Surrender
The Crossroad of Surrender
It’s Time to Choose
Scripture Focus:
“Choose today whom you will serve… But as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord.” — Joshua 24:15 (NLT)
There comes a moment when clarity pierces through the fog
— a moment when God shows you the way and you realize: you’re not stuck. You’re standing at a crossroad.
This is where vision meets response.
Where seeing becomes choosing.
And where the invitation of Jesus becomes personal.
Joshua stood before the people and drew a line in the sand
— not from pride, but from conviction.
He declared that no matter what others chose, he would serve the Lord.
That same invitation comes to you now.
Teaching Point:
The crossroad of surrender doesn’t demand perfection
— it asks for a decision.
Every act of faith begins with a choice to trust:
Not in your own strength,
but in God’s promises
Not in fleeting comfort,
but in eternal hope
Not in what feels easiest,
but in what leads to life
The Holy Spirit never forces
— He invites.
And today, He’s inviting you to stop straddling the middle and step fully into the life Jesus is offering.
Application:
What has kept you from choosing Jesus completely?
Are you willing to lay aside what’s been holding you back, and step into surrender?
Reflection:
Is there a quiet “yes” rising in your spirit today?
What would it look like for you to serve the Lord
— not just in belief, but in direction?
Final Thought:
You don’t have to earn your way in
— you only need to say yes.
Let today be the day you say:
“I choose Jesus.”
And then, by His grace,
keep choosing Him
every step forward.

The Favor of His Presence:
More Than a Feeling

The Favor of His Presence: More Than a Feeling
If I tell you a spiritual story or give you a cliché, it might offer a moment of comfort—but it won’t truly change your life. That kind of encouragement can feel like a temporary bandage over a deep wound.
What we truly need is for God the Holy Spirit to move.
He may not change your situation or pull you out of the place you’re in. In fact, He may allow it—because that’s where He wants you in this season. And sometimes, He’s quiet. Just like a teacher is silent during the test, God may step back to let your faith grow—but His Presence never leaves.
What He may give you is simply Himself.
His presence.
And that’s everything.
That’s how Paul could sing in prison (Acts 16:25).
That’s what He did for me.
He didn’t give me what I thought I wanted—He gave me what I needed:
His Presence,
His nearness,
and His love that would not let go.
Looking back,
I see how patient God was as He carried me through the very things I thought would break me.
But what they did instead was break the chains I didn’t even know were there.
His Presence doesn’t just comfort
—it delivers.
It doesn’t just settle—it transforms.
“The Lord your God is with you… He will take great delight in you… He will quiet you with His love.”
— Zephaniah 3:17
“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you…”
— Numbers 6:24–26
Faith isn’t about what we think, feel, see, or want to do.
Faith is about trusting who God is and walking in obedience to Christ.
“We take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”
— 2 Corinthians 10:5
Even creating this website
—this small, quiet act of devotion
—it might seem insignificant to others.
But not to me.
Because when you obey the voice of Jesus, you honor God.
And when your faith becomes an offering,
His Presence becomes your reward.
That’s when His favor rests on you
—not because of what you’ve done,
but because of who He is.
“Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
— Hebrews 11:1
Faith doesn’t chase signs and wonders
—but signs and wonders do follow righteousness.
And righteousness is not earned by works;
it’s received through believing God.
“For God so loved the world
that He gave His one and only Son,
that whoever believes in Him
shall not perish
but have eternal life.
For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.”
— John 3:16–17
So if your faith feels small, if your heart feels weary,
let this be your reminder:
God is not mad at you.
He sees you.
He hears your tears.
He is near.
And He’s calling you not just to visit His presence—but to live there.

Conclusion
🩵 A Word from the Journey
From My Heart
From Karen’s Heart:
I’ve walked through my own valley—not powered down, but I’ve had moments of feeling low.
What’s been life-changing is the honest seeking.
When we open our hearts to truth—raw, unfiltered truth—something shifts.
For me,
I’m hearing His voice again, clearer than ever.
But it took a fresh season of searching, even some fire, to get here.
I had to choose to seek truth and trust God instead of running to familiar comforts.
What I found?
He was already near.
It’s faith in what we can’t see,
and surrendering when it’s hardest—
that’s where the breakthrough begins.
You’re not alone in this.
Keep seeking.
Keep choosing.
Jesus is still right here.
In His grace,
Karen

His voice still leads.

Because when faith becomes an offering, His Presence becomes our reward. And that’s what we truly need—not a solution, but our Savior with us.
May you continue to walk with Him. Not just for what He can do, but because He’s already given us what we need: Himself.

Prologue – When You Want to Run Away
Scripture:
“And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.” — Matthew 26:39
Have you ever wanted to run from something hard, even when you knew God was asking you to stay?
Our human nature pulls us toward escape. Fear, nervous energy, or uncertainty makes us want to avoid the place where God is actually shaping us. Even Jesus’ disciples felt this pressure — they slept in the garden while He went a little farther in prayer.
This series is about those “little farther” moments. The steps of obedience that feel small but carry eternal weight. The daily choice to trust Him when emotions scream otherwise. Faith in the small things is what prepares us for the big things.
If you’ve ever felt like running, you’re not alone. The call of Jesus is not to hide but to follow Him a little farther. There you’ll find peace, strength, and His will being done in your life.
Prayer:
Lord, teach me to be faithful in the small things. When I want to run, give me courage to take one more step with You. Help me trust that You are at work in my life, even when I don’t understand. Amen.

Day 1 – When Going a Little Farther
Feels Impossible
Scripture:
“And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.” — Matthew 26:39
Have you ever been so weary that even praying felt impossible?
Jesus knows that place.
In Gethsemane, His soul was crushed with sorrow, yet He still went a little farther to pray.
The disciples couldn’t stay awake,
but Jesus pressed on in obedience.
His “little farther” opened the way for the greatest act of love the world has ever seen.
We all have moments like this — when fear, exhaustion, or nervous energy tells us to stop short.
But it’s in going just a little farther with Jesus that we discover His strength carrying us.
Faithfulness in the small steps matters.
If today you feel like you can’t take another step,
remember: even the smallest “yes” to God is seen in Heaven.
A little farther with Jesus is where His will is done, and His peace begins to flow.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, when I feel weak, help me to go a little farther with You.
Teach me faithfulness in the smallest steps,
and let Your will be done in my life.
Amen.

Day 2 – The Difference Gratitude Makes
Walking with Jesus, one step at a time.

Day 2 – The Difference Gratitude Makes
Scripture:
“And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, and fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.” — Luke 17:15–16
Ten lepers were healed by Jesus, but only one returned to say thank You. Gratitude was the difference. All received healing, but only the thankful one received the fullness of relationship and the blessing of faith made whole.
In our human nature, it’s easy to rush past blessings, always looking for the next thing. But the Spirit calls us to pause, to turn back, and to give thanks. Gratitude transforms healing into wholeness, moments into milestones, and duty into devotion.
When we give thanks in the small things, our hearts open wider to receive more of Jesus. Gratitude shifts our perspective from what we lack to Who we have — and in Him, we have everything.
Prayer:
Father, give me a heart that turns back to thank You. Teach me to see Your hand in the little things and to give You glory with my words and actions.
May gratitude mark my life as a witness of Your goodness.
Amen.

Day 3 – When You Feel Like Walking Away
Walking with Jesus, one step at a time.

Day 3 – When You Feel Like Walking Away
Scripture:
“Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.” — John 6:67–69
There are moments in life when following Jesus feels costly.
The crowds left Him when His words were too hard to hear.
Only a few remained, not because it was easy, but because they knew there was nowhere else to go for eternal life.
We face the same crossroads.
Our human nature wants comfort, acceptance, or escape
— but the Spirit draws us to cling to Christ, even when obedience feels heavy.
Walking away may look easier in the moment, but it leads to emptiness. Staying with Jesus, even through trials, leads to life.
Faithfulness is not measured by never struggling,
but by choosing again and again to stay with the One who has the words of eternal life.
Prayer:
Lord, when I feel tempted to walk away, remind me that You alone have the words of eternal life.
Strengthen my heart to stay near You and to trust that Your way is the way of life.
Amen.

Day 4 – If I Perish, I Perish
Walking with Jesus, one step at a time.

Day 4 – If I Perish, I Perish
Scripture:
“Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.” — Esther 4:16
Esther stood at a dangerous crossroad. She could remain silent and safe, or she could risk everything to step into the purpose God had set before her. Her courage was not found in her own strength, but in her surrender — fasting, praying, and trusting God with the outcome.
In our lives, faithfulness sometimes calls us into places of risk. Not always life or death, but costly choices that test our loyalty to Christ. The enemy wants fear to paralyze us, but God invites us to trust Him with our very lives.
Obedience may look costly, but disobedience costs far more. The reward of trusting God in the face of risk is discovering His faithfulness in ways we would never see otherwise.
Prayer:
Father, give me the courage of Esther. Teach me to trust You when obedience feels costly. Help me to surrender fear and walk in the confidence that You are with me. Amen.

Day 5 – Beyond Looking Good, Into Being Changed
Walking with Jesus, one step at a time.

Day 5 – Beyond Looking Good, Into Being Changed
Scripture:
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” — Romans 12:2
It is easy to settle for appearances — to look good on the outside while still carrying struggles and fears within. The world is full of pressure to perform, impress, and keep up appearances. But God does not call us to appear changed; He calls us to be transformed.
Transformation is deeper than behavior. It begins in the renewing of the mind by the Word of God. As His Spirit works in us, He changes our desires, softens our hearts, and teaches us to live in surrender.
Faithfulness in the small things means letting God shape us when no one is watching. It is choosing the quiet discipline of obedience, trusting that the Spirit’s work within us will bear lasting fruit — far beyond anything outward appearances can show.
Prayer:
Lord, renew my mind by Your Word. Free me from the pressure of appearances and change me from the inside out. Let my life reflect the transforming power of Your Spirit. Amen.

Day 6 – Home Is Being Comfortable in Heaven
Walking with Jesus, one step at a time.

Day 6 – Home Is Being Comfortable in Heaven
Scripture:
“In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” — John 14:2–3
Our earthly homes bring a measure of comfort, but they are never permanent.
Walls fade, roofs leak, and life changes.
But Jesus promised a home that is eternal
— a place prepared by His own hands.
Faithfulness in the small things includes living now with Heaven in mind.
When we remember that our true home is with Christ,
our perspective shifts.
We stop clinging so tightly to what is temporary
and begin to walk in the peace of what is eternal.
To be “at home” in Heaven begins now
— when our hearts grow more comfortable in God’s presence than in the world’s approval.
Home is not only a future hope;
it is the growing reality of belonging with Him today.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, help me to set my heart on my true home with You. Teach me to live with Heaven in view,
to walk in peace, and to find comfort in Your presence above all else.
Amen.

Day 7 – On Earth as It Is in Heaven
Walking with Jesus, one step at a time.

Day 7 – On Earth as It Is in Heaven
Scripture:
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” — Matthew 6:33
Jesus taught us to pray,
“Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.”
This is not just a prayer for the future
— it is an invitation for today.
When we seek first the kingdom of God, and His Righteousness,
we begin to live in alignment with Heaven’s priorities here and now.
Faithfulness in the small things means choosing God’s way
even when our human nature pulls us toward comfort, pride, or distraction.
The reward is just beyond the comfortable place:
the transformation of our hearts as Christ is glorified in us.
Every time we surrender our will,
we step into more of Heaven’s reality on earth.
The Spirit teaches us discipline, discernment, and dependence,
shaping us to live as citizens of a kingdom that cannot be shaken.
Prayer:
Father, let Your kingdom come and Your will be done in me today. Teach me to seek first Your righteousness and to live with Heaven’s perspective. May my life bring glory to Jesus here on earth, even as it will in eternity. Amen.

Epilogue – Jesus, the Only Way
Scripture:
“But now he is dead, wherefore should I fast? can I bring him back again?
I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me.” — 2 Samuel 12:23
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life:
no man cometh unto the Father,
but by me.” — John 14:6
We should not be surprised that there is only one way to Heaven.
Just as there is only one physical birth,
there is only one spiritual new birth — through Jesus Christ.
He is the love of God made visible, the bridge between our weakness and God’s eternal promise.
In faithfulness, we learn to surrender in the small things,
not to earn God’s love,
but because we already have it in Christ.
Every act of obedience points us back to this truth:
we live by Him, through Him, and for Him.
Life on earth is temporary, but life in Christ is eternal.
Our hope is not in our performance, but in His finished work.
Faithful in the small things, we look to the One who is faithful in all things
— the only way, the truth, and the life.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for being the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Help me to walk faithfully with You, trusting that every step leads me closer to my eternal home. Amen.

Benediction – Walk in His Faithfulness
Scripture:
“He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.” — Luke 16:10
Faithfulness in the small things is not about perfection, but about trust. God sees every unseen choice — every quiet prayer, every surrendered moment, every step of obedience no one else notices. In His kingdom, nothing is wasted.
As you walk forward, remember that your life is not carried by your strength but by His. Christ is the faithful One. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. And He who began a good work in you will carry it to completion.
Go in peace. Walk in His faithfulness. And know that each small “yes” is building a testimony of grace that glorifies Jesus.
Prayer:
Faithful God, thank You for walking with me in every step — small and great. Teach me to rest in Your faithfulness and to trust that my life is secure in You. May I walk each day in Your grace, bringing glory to Jesus. Amen.

Prologue – The Treasure of Wisdom
Scripture:
“Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God. For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.” — Proverbs 2:5–6
Wisdom is one of the greatest treasures God offers His children.
It is more than clever thoughts or good advice
— it is the very light of God teaching us how to walk in His way.
The world’s wisdom often sounds persuasive,
but it leads to envy, confusion, and striving.
The wisdom that comes from above is pure, peaceable, and full of mercy.
Every believer will face moments of decision:
Do I follow the pull of my human nature, or do I listen for the wisdom that comes from God?
Learning to discern this difference is the beginning of living as an overcomer.
If you’ve been searching for answers, take heart — God is not hiding wisdom from you.
He is inviting you to ask, to seek, and to receive.
The fear of the Lord is the doorway, and the knowledge of God is the treasure within.
Prayer:
Father, give me a heart that longs for Your wisdom. Teach me to value Your ways above my own thoughts,
and help me to recognize the difference between what is earthly and what is from above.
Lead me into the treasure of knowing You.
Amen.

Day 1 – The Beginning of Wisdom
Walking with Jesus, one step at a time.

Day 1 – The Beginning of Wisdom
Scripture:
“And unto man he said,
Behold,
the fear of the Lord,
that is wisdom;
and to depart from evil
is understanding.”
— Job 28:28
Wisdom doesn’t begin with age, education, or experience
— it begins with God.
Job tells us that wisdom is rooted in the fear of the Lord:
a reverent awe that recognizes who God is and who we are not.
The world teaches us to chase knowledge for power or success,
but true wisdom is about relationship.
To fear the Lord is to honor Him above all else,
to trust His ways even when they go against our human understanding,
and to turn away from what is evil because we love Him.
Every step of wisdom begins here:
humility before God.
This is the foundation for every other lesson we will learn in this series.
Without the fear of the Lord, all other wisdom crumbles.
With it, we walk on solid ground.
Prayer:
Lord, teach me the fear of the Lord. Give me a heart that honors You above all things and the courage to turn from evil.
Let my life be rooted in Your wisdom and guided by Your truth.
Amen.

Day 2 – How Do You Spell Relief?
Walking with Jesus, one step at a time.

Day 2 – How Do You Spell Relief?
Scripture:
“But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.” — James 3:17
The world spells relief in many ways: escape, distraction, or self-gratification.
But all of these bring only temporary comfort.
God spells relief through wisdom that brings peace.
Heaven’s wisdom looks different.
It is pure
— not corrupted by selfish motives.
It is peaceable
— not stirring up strife.
It is gentle and merciful,
bearing good fruit that lasts.
This wisdom doesn’t leave us restless
but brings a settled spirit,
because it is rooted in God Himself.
When life feels overwhelming,
ask: Am I seeking relief in my own way,
or am I looking for wisdom from above?
The difference is lasting peace.
Prayer:
Father, help me to recognize false reliefs that only distract me.
Fill me with Your wisdom that is pure and peaceable.
Let my life bear fruit that reflects Your mercy and Your truth.
Amen.

Day 3 – Run When You Must
Walking with Jesus, one step at a time.

Day 3 – Run When You Must
Scripture:
“There hath no temptation
taken you
but such as is common to man:
but God is faithful,
who will not suffer you to be tempted
above that ye are able;
but will with the temptation also make a way to escape,
that ye may be able to bear it.”
— 1 Corinthians 10:13
Joseph knew when to run.
Faced with temptation from Potiphar’s wife,
he didn’t stay to reason with it
or see how strong he could be
— he fled.
His choice cost him dearly in the moment,
but in God’s bigger story, it marked him as faithful.
Sometimes the most spiritual thing we can do is run.
God provides a way of escape,
but it requires humility to take it.
Running is not weakness
— it is wisdom.
It acknowledges that our strength alone is not enough
and that obedience to God matters more than appearances.
Faithful endurance
often comes
through
short-term pain
for long-term gain.
Like Joseph, we may be misunderstood or even punished unfairly,
but God honors those who choose righteousness over compromise.
Prayer:
Lord, give me discernment to know when to run. Help me not to toy with temptation or trust my own strength, but to take the escape You provide. May my obedience honor You, even when it costs me. Amen.

Day 4 – Guarding the Heart
Walking with Jesus, one step at a time.

Day 4 – Guarding the Heart
Scripture:
“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.”
— Proverbs 4:23
“Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.”
— Psalm 119:9
The heart is the wellspring of our lives. What we allow in shapes what flows out. If we fill our hearts with bitterness, envy, or lust, disorder follows.
But if we guard our hearts with God’s Word, peace and purity grow.
Guarding your heart does not mean hiding from the world. It means choosing carefully what you allow to shape your desires and thoughts.
God’s Word is the filter that cleanses and protects.
Every time you meditate on Scripture, you are washing away what the world leaves behind and strengthening what God has planted.
Wisdom from above helps us treasure our hearts as holy ground, where Christ dwells by faith. Guarding the heart is not a burden — it is freedom, because it keeps us aligned with God’s life-giving presence.
Prayer:
Lord, teach me to guard my heart with Your Word. Cleanse me where I have allowed the wrong things in, and fill me with truth that gives life. Let my heart be a place where Your Spirit freely dwells. Amen.

Day 5 – Treasure in the Word
Walking with Jesus, one step at a time.

Day 5 – Treasure in the Word
Scripture:
“Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God.” — Proverbs 2:5
“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” — Psalm 119:11
The Word of God is not just information
— it is treasure.
When hidden in the heart,
it guards us from sin,
strengthens us in weakness,
and fills us with wisdom from above.
The world treats Scripture lightly,
but God invites us to treat it as a treasure chest overflowing with truth.
The more we store His Word in our hearts,
the more prepared we are for trials, temptations, and decisions.
Wisdom grows as we treasure the Word.
Reading it,
meditating on it,
and obeying it
trains our hearts to value what God values.
The treasure of His Word is not meant to stay hidden,
but to be lived out, shining as a witness to others.
Prayer:
Father, let me treasure Your Word above all else. Write it on my heart so that I may walk in wisdom and resist sin. May Your Word be my delight and my guide in every step I take. Amen.

Day 6 – Receive, Abide, Bear
Walking with Jesus, one step at a time.

Day 6 – Receive, Abide, Bear
Scripture:
“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
— Romans 10:17
“I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.”
— John 15:5
The life of wisdom begins with receiving.
We hear God’s Word, and faith is planted in our hearts.
But hearing alone is not enough
— we are called to abide.
To abide means
to remain,
to dwell,
to stay connected
to Christ as the true vine.
Only in Him do we have life.
Only in Him can fruit grow.
Wisdom teaches us that our strength, ideas, and striving apart from Christ are empty.
Abiding in Him brings fruit that lasts.
The pattern of wisdom is simple:
receive the Word,
abide in Christ,
and bear fruit by His Spirit.
This is the life of an overcomer
— not by our own effort, but by His life flowing through us.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, help me to receive Your Word with faith, to abide in You daily, and to bear fruit that brings glory to the Father. Keep me close to You, for without You I can do nothing. Amen.

Day 7 – False Wisdom vs. True Wisdom
Walking with Jesus, one step at a time.

Day 7 – False Wisdom vs. True Wisdom
Scripture:
“But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.” — James 3:14–17
Not all wisdom is the same. Some wisdom is earthly
— driven by selfish ambition, pride, and envy. It may look sharp, persuasive, or practical, but it produces strife and confusion.
This wisdom is not from God.
True wisdom is from above.
It reflects God’s character: pure, peaceable, gentle, merciful, and fruitful. It does not tear down but builds up.
It does not exalt self but glorifies Christ.
Discernment means learning to recognize the difference.
When faced with decisions, we must ask: Is this wisdom drawing me closer to Jesus or farther away?
Is it producing peace and fruit, or strife and disorder?
True wisdom is not about knowing more
— it is about becoming more like Christ.
Prayer:
Father, give me discernment to recognize the difference between earthly wisdom and heavenly wisdom. Fill me with Your Spirit so that my life reflects purity, peace, mercy, and fruitfulness. Let every choice I make bring glory to Jesus. Amen.

Day 8 – Friendship with God
Walking with Jesus, one step at a time.

Day 8 – Friendship with God
Scripture:
“Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.”
— James 4:4
“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.”
— James 4:7–8
Every friendship shapes us. To love the world’s value system is to drift from God. Worldly friendship craves pleasure, power, and approval apart from Him. But wisdom teaches us that such loyalty comes at the cost of intimacy with God.
True friendship is found in God Himself. When we submit to Him, resist the enemy, and draw near, He draws near to us. This is not distant religion but personal relationship. The God who created the universe invites us into closeness with Him.
Wisdom from above calls us to choose friendship with God over the fleeting approval of the world. This is not loss but gain — for in Him we find life, peace, and joy that never fade.
Prayer:
Lord, I choose You above the world. Teach me to resist the pull of temptation and to draw near to You daily. Let my life be marked by friendship with You, walking in love and truth all my days. Amen.

Wrap-Up – Christ Is Wisdom
Walking with Jesus, one step at a time.

Wrap-Up – Christ Is Wisdom
Scripture:
“But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption.” — 1 Corinthians 1:30
Wisdom is not just an idea or a set of principles
— wisdom is a Person.
Jesus Christ is the wisdom of God revealed to us.
He is the One who teaches us
how to live,
how to walk,
and how to choose.
Every day of this journey,
from guarding the heart
to treasuring the Word,
from resisting the devil
to abiding in Christ,
points us back to Him.
The true measure of wisdom is not how much we know,
but how much we reflect Jesus.
As we humble ourselves,
submit to God,
and draw near to Him,
we grow in wisdom
— not our own,
but His.
Christ is
our wisdom,
our righteousness,
our sanctification,
and our redemption.
The wisdom that comes from above is God Himself drawing us into friendship,
purity, peace, and fruitfulness.
The more we walk with Him,
the more we shine His light in a world desperate for truth.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for giving us wisdom through Jesus Christ. Keep me walking in His truth, reflecting His character, and relying on His Spirit. May my life be marked by wisdom from above, bringing glory to You in all I do. Amen.

Epilogue – Walking Forward in Wisdom

Epilogue – Walking Forward in Wisdom
Scripture:
“For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.”
— Proverbs 2:6
Wisdom from above is not something we achieve once and keep forever
— it is a daily walk with God.
The Spirit teaches us, convicts us, strengthens us, and comforts us as we learn to live surrendered lives.
Every moment is an opportunity to choose: earthly wisdom or heavenly wisdom, striving in self or abiding in Christ, friendship with the world or friendship with God. The choice shapes the fruit of our lives.
Take heart — the Lord is generous with His wisdom. When you ask, He gives. When you listen, He speaks. When you draw near, He draws near.
Benediction – Christ Our Treasure
“Christ in you, the hope of glory.” — Colossians 1:27
May you walk each day in the wisdom that comes from above — pure, peaceable, gentle, full of mercy and good fruit. May Christ Himself be your wisdom, your guide, and your peace.
And may your life shine as a witness that wisdom is not far away but near
— as near as Jesus Christ living in you.
Amen.

Who’s in the Circle?
Discernment, Surrender, and Walking in the Light
🔹Temptation Doesn’t Always Look Like Darkness
Sometimes temptation comes dressed as what we’ve been praying for—companionship, healing, hope. But not everything that feels good is from God. And not every person who steps into our life is meant to stay.
Temptation isn’t always about rebellion. Sometimes it’s about settling.
About accepting a version of love that is rooted in ego, not covenant.
About accepting attention that fills a moment but starves the soul.
And that’s when discernment becomes essential.
🔹 2. When God’s Protection Looks Like Pain
We don’t often see it this way in the moment, but sometimes God protects us through pain—by allowing our soul to ache when we begin to lean toward something not sent from heaven.
We pray for peace and closeness, but we must let Him decide how that peace comes.
It’s not easy to let go of what our heart wants to believe. But it’s powerful to surrender what we think we need and trust God’s wisdom to give us only what is truly ours.
🔹 3. Philippians 4:6 — Let Truth Lead the Heart
“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”
—Philippians 4:6
This Scripture helps us realign when our hearts feel scattered:
-
“But in everything” — There’s no category of life too small to surrender.
-
“By prayer and supplication” — Supplication means earnest, humble pleading. It’s not demanding. It’s yielding.
-
“With thanksgiving” — Gratitude reminds our heart of God’s faithfulness.
-
“Let your requests…” — The word let shows us: God invites us to decide. Will we hold onto our desires, or will we release them in trust?
🔹 4. Matthew 12 — Jesus Is Over All
In Matthew 12, Jesus makes it clear:
“He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters abroad.” (v.30)
There is no neutral ground.
If it’s not aligned with Jesus—it is apart from Him.
That means if we’re entertaining thoughts, people, or behaviors that don’t glorify Christ, they are not just a little off—they are opposed to His Spirit.
Anything we entertain that Jesus wouldn’t sit in the center of is something we need to let go.
And He gives us wisdom to do just that.
🔹 5. Walking in the Light Requires Exposure
We prayed it this way:
“Strengthen us to walk in Your light—this requires us to expose our hearts to You, our Lord Jesus, and see if there is anything impure in us.”
Walking in the light is not just about public behavior—it’s about private surrender.
It means asking God to search our hearts, remove what doesn’t belong, and keep us walking forward in the truth—even when the truth costs us.
🔹 Final Reflection:
What are you allowing into your inner circle?
Is it drawing you closer to Jesus—or away from Him?
God's mercy doesn’t always show up in comfort.
Sometimes it shows up in a closed door.
A conviction.
A tearful night under the stars where we cry, “God, help me.”
And in that place, Jesus meets us with peace that doesn’t make sense to the world… but makes everything right with Him.

❤️ Heart Moment: When God Protects You Through Pain
I didn’t expect the ache to return so strong.
It wasn’t about grieving Rob being in heaven—I’ve found peace there now.
It was the loneliness that crept in when someone stepped into view and mirrored something I missed… companionship, attention, warmth.
But what felt like a gift turned out to be a glimpse of what I couldn’t keep.
Not because I wasn’t lovable, but because it wasn’t from God.
He didn’t want all of me.
He didn’t want Jesus.
He wanted what made him feel good.
And that’s not love—it’s ego.
And yet, God met me in the middle of that pain.
It took searching my heart.
It took laying down the desire to be seen and understood by someone who didn’t want the whole truth of me.
It took crying out again under the stars, “Help me, Jesus.”
And Jesus helped.
He gave me peace.
He protected me from myself.
He reminded me:
What we allow into our inner circle can be a trap—not a gift.
This wasn’t just about emotional boundaries—it was about spiritual protection.
We can be tempted to manipulate our lives to fit what we want, just because a person reflects a place in our heart we thought was healed. But if it’s not led by Jesus, it’s a counterfeit.
And God doesn’t share thrones.
🔹 Scripture Reflections:
“For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.”
—John 3:20
“Take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.”
—2 Corinthians 10:5
“Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”
—Philippians 4:6
But in everything — nothing is too small to bring before Him
By prayer and supplication — Supplication is humble, earnest prayer—not manipulation
With thanksgiving — we trust God to respond in His wisdom, not our preference
Let — God gives us the choice to release our desires into His hands
This moment taught me:
✨ We are not weak for feeling. We are strong for surrendering.
✨ We are not lost when we hurt. We are found when we cry out to Jesus.
✨ We are not called to chase false hope. We are called to walk in the Light.
I hope this helps you open your heart to believe again.
May it bless you, as it has blessed me in the telling.
Love in Christ,
Karen

📙 Rivers of Judgment, Streams of Righteousness

(Teaching that pairs with the devotion Let It Flow: When Judgment and Righteousness Protect Your Heart)
📖 Scripture Focus
“But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream.” — Amos 5:24 (KJV)
💬 Before We Begin
Sometimes discernment begins with a discomfort we can’t explain.
The Holy Spirit nudges gently — not to condemn, but to protect.
Maybe you’ve felt it too — that subtle unease when something feels off, even when it looks “nice” on the outside. That’s not paranoia. It’s spiritual perception.
This teaching isn’t about being suspicious of everyone. It’s about learning to recognize what is not from God — and then, in wisdom, letting judgment flow and righteousness stream.
Not in anger.
Not in fear.
But in truth and peace.
🌟 Teaching Theme
The Holy Spirit leads us in discernment and godly response — not just to avoid harm, but to walk in holiness.
1. When Judgment Flows
Judgment in this verse doesn’t mean condemnation — it means clarity.
It’s when the Spirit of God reveals what’s false, manipulative, or misaligned. Like muddy water being washed away by a fresh current, His judgment clears the fog.
📖 John 7:24 – “Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.”
When we submit to the Holy Spirit, we don’t judge from a place of pride — we discern from a place of purity.
We speak truth with humility, not hostility.
2. When Righteousness Streams
Once judgment clears the path, righteousness follows. This isn’t about self-righteousness — it’s about alignment with God’s heart.
📖 Proverbs 21:21 – “Whoever pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity and honor.”
Righteousness is revealed in the peace that follows obedience.
It’s the gentle but firm decision to walk in truth, even when emotions want to take over.
Letting righteousness stream is choosing to respond with grace and godly boundaries, not guilt or compromise.
3. Letting the Spirit Lead
📖 John 16:13 – “When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth.”
The Spirit of God doesn't just point out what’s wrong — He also leads us into what’s right.
That means we don’t have to force every situation to fit our understanding.
We can trust the flow — let His judgment bring clarity, and let His righteousness bring peace.
📂 Closing Thoughts
You don’t have to carry the pressure to figure it all out.
You just have to stay in step with the Spirit.
Let judgment flow — to cleanse what doesn’t belong.
Let righteousness stream — to refresh what God is doing.
Because wherever the Holy Spirit flows — there’s freedom, wisdom, and protection.

📖 Heart Moment: When Discernment Flows and Peace Follows – The Moment I Let It Flow
💛 Personal Reflection
Some things only become clear after you’ve walked away with peace. That’s what happened here.
There was a moment where I could’ve reacted emotionally — maybe even compromised my boundaries to keep the peace. But something deeper stirred within me.
It was the Holy Spirit.
I didn’t fully understand it at the time. But I knew the Spirit of God was nudging me to pause, to listen, to discern — and to speak with truth rather than emotion.
It was like my heart stood up inside me. I wasn’t rude. I wasn’t afraid. I just didn’t yield to emotional pressure. I let the Holy Spirit do what only He can do: protect my heart with truth.
John 16:13 came alive:
"When He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all truth... and He will show you things to come."
Looking back, I still don’t know all that God protected me from. But I know this — I didn’t walk away confused. I walked away with peace.
I didn’t try to fix it. I didn’t need to explain myself.
I just let it flow.
That moment of discernment was God’s judgment running like water — not to punish, but to cleanse.
And the righteousness that followed? It was the safety of being in step with Him.
Peace followed. And it stayed.
So if you’re in a moment where you feel pressure to react, to explain, or to soften your boundary — pause.
Ask the Spirit of truth to speak first.
Then let it flow — judgment like water, righteousness like a stream.
You don’t have to defend what God is protecting.
Just stay in step with Him.

Scripture Focus: Jeremiah 29:13 (NIV)
"You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart."
💬 Before We Begin
Let’s start gently — with a heart-to-heart.
This message touches places where trust may have been broken. Perhaps you’ve seen spiritual authority misused, or felt silenced instead of strengthened. If so, hear this:
God sees you. He does not dismiss the wound or overlook what happened in His name.
But what you’re about to read isn’t about reinforcing pain — it’s about remembering the love of Christ. The kind of love that sacrifices, covers, and restores.
This message is about Him.
And His ways are good.
He is the Head of the Church — not as a ruler with a heavy hand,
but as a Shepherd who lays down His life.
So before we go any further, breathe.
You’re safe here.
Let the Spirit lead you.
🌿 Teaching Theme:
God’s divine order reflects the heart of Christ — not to restrict, but to protect, empower, and release.
1. God’s Order Is a Gift,
Not a Punishment
📖 Ephesians 5:23 – "For the husband is the head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body."
📖 1 Corinthians 11:3 – "But I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God."
These verses reflect structure — not superiority. Even Christ submits to the Father in divine order. Headship, when modeled after Christ, means sacrifice and protection.
✨ Truth to Remember: God’s covering brings clarity, not confusion. Honor, not harm.
2. Women Are Called and Covered
📖 Acts 2:17–18 – "Your sons and daughters will prophesy…"
God pours His Spirit on both men and women. We see this in Scripture:
-
Deborah judged Israel (Judges 4)
-
Priscilla taught Apollos (Acts 18)
-
Phoebe served as a deacon (Romans 16)
-
The Samaritan woman evangelized a village (John 4)
-
Mary Magdalene proclaimed the resurrection (John 20)
Women were not silenced. They were empowered — but also covered by God's design.
📖 1 Timothy 2:12 – Paul limits the senior pastoral office — not every form of teaching or ministry.
✨ Truth to Remember: A woman’s voice isn’t diminished by God’s order — it’s directed by it.
3. The Heart of Headship Is Christ’s Love
True headship is:
-
Not dominance, but defense
-
Not control, but care
-
Not silence, but shelter
When we understand God’s order, we stop seeing it as loss — and begin receiving it as love.
📖 Jeremiah 29:13 – "You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart."
This is our greatest invitation: to belong to Jesus, fully surrendered and fully covered.
📂 Closing Thoughts:
Surrender isn’t losing. It’s stepping under the protection of the One who laid down His life.
Whether you had an earthly father who showed that well — or one who didn’t — the invitation still stands:
You are called, covered, and chosen.
Walk in that truth today.

📖 Heart Moment: The Yellow Birdhouse – Where Love Saw Me and Surrender Set Me Free
💛 Personal Reflection
I still remember the day my dad built me that yellow birdhouse.
He didn’t have the perfect tools or all the time in the world. He was tired — deeply tired — but he showed up. I had a school project due, and he didn’t hesitate.
No blueprints. No power tools. Just a hand saw, some scrap wood, and a whole lot of love.
He let me pick the color — yellow, bright and cheerful, the way I wanted the world to see it.
That day, he gave me more than a project. He gave me his presence, his protection, and his belief in me.
And years later, I saw that same quiet strength when he made peace in the room with just a gentle word. My husband and I had been caught in one of those moments where miscommunication sparks frustration. And my dad leaned over and said, “It doesn’t have to be the right answer. They just want an answer.”
He wasn’t trying to be wise or witty. He was trying to help.
Because that’s the kind of man he was — not shining at another’s expense,
but building up others with strength and care.
He taught me humility. He modeled provision without pride. He made surrender feel safe.
And later, I saw the same heart in Jesus.
That’s why this memory matters — not because my dad was perfect, but because it pointed me to the Father who is.
He doesn’t always give us what we want, but He always gives us what we need.
And through Jesus, He gave us Himself.
I’ve learned that surrender isn’t weakness — it’s the path to real freedom. It’s not losing. It’s choosing love over control, peace over striving.
So if you’ve never known a love like that — the kind that builds, covers, and sees — I want you to know:
There is a Father who sees you. He hears what you haven’t said. He knows your heart. And He gave His Son to walk with you — all the way home.
It starts with a whisper: “Jesus, I want to know You.”
Heaven leans in at those words.
