⚡ Before the Thunder Sometimes God's power moves through you before you ever see the impact. Just like lightning comes before the sound—His Light reaches places your eyes may never see. Stay close to the Source. That’s where the power flows.
Before the Thunder Sometimes God's power moves through you before you ever see the impact. Just like lightning comes before the sound—His Light reaches places your eyes may never see. Stay close to the Source. That’s where the power flows.

Don’t Let What Hurt You Keep Holding You

"…even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye."Colossians 3:13 (KJV)

Unforgiveness is a thief.

It eats away at your peace, your joy, and your ability to walk freely in the Light of Christ.

It convinces you that holding on gives you control.

But in truth, it becomes a distraction—A tool the enemy uses to steal the Light from your life:

• The Light of your peace.

• The Light of your joy.

• The Light of your purpose.

Sometimes, we even try to be the savior in someone’s life—thinking we can bring the change.

But salvation doesn’t come from us.

It comes from Jesus alone.

And only the Holy Spirit can draw hearts to the Father.

Even Jesus, as He walked the earth, felt power go out of Him when someone touched His robe in faith.

He knew the power moved—But He didn’t know who at first.

(Luke 8:45–46)

That’s a powerful reminder:

We may never know who the Light of Christ within us is meant to touch.

We’re not called to be the source.

We’re called to abide in the Source.

Just like lightning flashes before thunder rolls...God’s power often moves before we ever see its full impact.

The Light comes first.

The sound follows.

It’s the same with forgiveness:

The power is in the release.

You may not hear the “thunder” of resolution—But if God’s Light moved through you, that was enough.

Prayer for Freedom:

Jesus, I’m tired of carrying what You already died to take.

I’ve tried to hold it together, but this wound is deep.

Still—I want You more than I want my pride or my pain.

So I give it all to You.

Help me forgive—not by my strength, but by Yours.

Let Your Light be what fills me.

Let Your power move through me.

Let Your Spirit teach me when to speak, when to release, and when to simply trust.

Amen.

Reflection:

Don’t let what hurt you keep holding you.

And don’t let your right hand know what your left is doing for the Lord.

His Light is enough.

Let that be what moves through you—no matter who sees it.
