Don’t Disqualify Yourself Because You’re Still Becoming (A 7-Part Teaching Series Begins This Week)

Before we begin…

I want to share this revelation teaching the Lord has been showing me — and I want you to know my heart in it.

I’m posting this to learn.

I’m not sharing this as someone who has it all figured out — but as someone who is still growing, still being shaped, and still learning to follow Jesus more deeply.

If you’re hungry to grow in the Word, I invite you to learn with me.

We have a teaching series coming, and we are about to start working on putting it up so we can learn together.

🙏 Come and see.

The Scripture We’ll Be Building This Series On

“Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.”1 Timothy 4:12 (KJV)

Who This Series Is For

This is for:

  • the one who has ever felt dismissed while still learning

  • the believer who has felt “shot down” for growing stages or past mistakes

  • the one who wants to follow Jesus in truth — not just religion

  • the wounded believer who still longs for God, even after church hurt

God does not shame His children for still becoming.

He disciples us with truth… and lifts us with love.

What’s Coming This Week

This will be a 7-part teaching series on the Hope in Today website:

Don’t Disqualify Yourself Because You’re Still Becoming

(based on 1 Timothy 4:12)

We will walk through what it really means to become an example:

  • in word

  • in conduct

  • in love

  • in spirit

  • in faith

  • in purity

Not for performance.

Not to impress people.

But to grow into who we are in Christ.

Invitation

If you’ve been hungry for truth — and tired of being discouraged — I believe this will bless you.

And if this helps you, I encourage you to share it with someone who needs peace, direction, or healing.

Love in Christ,

Karen

My newest teaching video is now live on YouTube.

It’s raw, it’s real — and it’s prayerfully meant for someone God has on His heart today.

As I shared this new teaching, I was reminded of something the Lord has shown me over time: faith grows, but it remains the same faith.

The Freedoms in Christ: How Jesus Sets the Soul Free series reflects my current season of teaching — but along the way, the Lord gently led me to include two earlier videos created before this website ever existed.

One was recorded in 2015–2016, when I was first stepping out in faith, simply obeying and learning to trust God, day by day.

The other was shared a few years ago, during a season when the Lord was healing me and freeing me from pain that tried to turn loneliness into bondage.

Looking back, I see now: they were never separate stories — they were part of the same journey of faith, growth, and freedom in Christ.

Just like the parable Jesus shared:

“Or what woman, having ten silver coins, if she loses one coin, does not light a lamp and sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it?”
— Luke 15:8

Nothing God works through is ever lost — sometimes it’s simply waiting for the right time to be seen again.

Maybe you feel that way too: overlooked, out of season, or unsure where you belong.

But hear this:
You are not lost to God.
And if you seek Him, you will find Him.
