Scripture:“Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.”— Matthew 6:10 (KJV)
Reflection
The word “let” runs like a golden thread through Scripture. Each time it appears, it invites us into surrender — a choice to release control and trust the Lord.
Let not your heart be troubled (John 14:1). Fear is real, but Jesus reminds us that peace comes from believing in Him.
Let them who do not love Christ go their way (1 Corinthians 16:22). We can’t control the choices of others, but we can love and long for Christ’s return.
Let the Kingdom come (Acts 1:3, Matthew 6:10). God’s reign is both present and coming, shaping us even now for the day we see Him face to face.
When we connect these “lets,” we realize that peace isn’t found in striving, but in surrender. To let is to trust. To let is to believe. To let is to rest in the finished work of Christ, who holds our tomorrow.
We don’t have to force the outcome of our lives.
We simply need to “let God” — and watch His Kingdom come, in His timing and in His way.
Prayer
Father,
I surrender the things that trouble my heart.
Let not fear rule over me.
Let Your Kingdom come in me, today.
And let me wait with hope for Jesus, the One who is coming again.
Amen.
✨ Tune in tomorrow: We’ll explore how letting go of fear creates space for God’s Kingdom to grow in us.
✨ Linking Note (for Teaching Page)
These three teachings —
— come together in one word: LET.
This devotion, “Let God. Trust the One Who Holds Tomorrow,” ties them together as a reminder that peace comes not from striving, but from surrender. To let not fear rule, to let go of what we cannot control, and to let God’s Kingdom come is the path of trust in Christ.
With hope in Christ,
