See to Surrender

ree

Peter offered what he had—and Jesus did the rest. A simple moment of faith unlocked healing, purpose, and a brand-new walk.

There’s more to this moment than meets the eye. If you’d like to grow in the Word with us, the Teaching Series walks through it step by step.

Title: God Has Already Given You What You Need

Key Verse:

Peter said, “I don’t have any silver or gold for you. But I’ll give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, get up and walk!”Acts 3:6 (NLT)

Peter offered what he had—and Jesus did the rest.

This is where surrender meets power.

When we bring Jesus what we do have—our trust, our faith, even our weakness—He meets us with what we truly need.

There are moments in life when something suddenly comes into focus—a truth, a prompting, a need—and it feels like you're standing in front of a door. Maybe you didn’t even notice it was there until now. But when God opens your eyes to see… you have a choice.

In Acts 3, a man who couldn’t walk was sitting by the temple gate, hoping for coins. That’s all he expected. Just enough to get by another day.

But Peter, led by the Holy Spirit, saw more than a request for money—he saw an open door. A moment not just to give, but to invite. He didn’t offer what he didn’t have.He offered what he did haveJesus.

What Does It Mean to “See”?

To see, spiritually, is to recognize what God is doing in a moment that might otherwise feel ordinary. It’s when your natural eyes might miss it, but your heart hears, “This is a moment of choice. Pay attention.”

Peter saw more than a man begging.

He saw an opportunity for heaven to meet earth.

And instead of walking past—he stopped, spoke, and reached out.

The man, in turn, chose to respond. He didn’t argue. He didn’t resist.

He took the hand stretched toward him—and stood.

His healing came not because he had strength, but because he trusted the One who did.

You May Be Facing a Door Today

Maybe the door before you isn’t a big opportunity.

Maybe it’s a quiet moment to pause… to listen… to respond differently.

To trust instead of panic.

To pray instead of worry.

To give what little you have—and watch Jesus do the rest.

You might feel like you have nothing left.

But if you have Jesus—you have everything you need to take the next step.

Reflection Questions

  • Is there a “door” in front of you today—something God is gently bringing into focus?

  • Are you more focused on what you lack, or on what you do have in Christ?

  • Who is God asking you to stop for reach toward, or simply to offer kindness?

Maybe it's someone hurting beside you. Or someone you've overlooked in your busy day.

Or maybe, it’s you—He’s asking you to let Him in.

Friend, do you know how valuable you are to God?

Immensely and incredibly valuable—so much so that God sent His Son to die for you, so that you could know your worth and come to know Him personally.

If you’re reading this, please know: God has you on His mind too.

That’s why we’re here—writing this, praying through it, and believing for hearts to be changed.

We want to reach out our hand to you today—in prayer, encouragement, and in the power of the Word of our Lord.

Jesus came for us all—and that includes you.

Prayer

Lord, open my eyes today. Help me see what You’re showing me—especially in the small, quiet moments.

Where I’ve been asking for less, give me courage to receive more.

Not just the comfortable or expected, but the fullness of what You long to pour into my life.

Help me receive healing, identity, purpose, and joy. Remind me I’m not alone.

Lead me to walk through the doors You open—with trust, surrender, and love.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Invitation to Walk with Jesus

If you already know Jesus, then you understand this truth: once we believe in the love God has for us, we live.

And now is your time to grow.

But if you haven’t yet received Him, now is the time.

You don’t need fancy words—just faith.

Simply tell God you believe that Jesus is His Son—who died, was buried, and rose again so that you could be free.

Jesus wants to walk with you. He sees you. He loves you. He is the hand reaching out.

Take His hand. Rise and walk.

"Now this is eternal life: that they know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent."John 17:3 (NIV)

Come along with us on this journey called life. You are not alone.

Together in Christ Jesus, we are one family to God.

❤️ Heart Moment

I remember being excited about a project house we were working on. It was in really bad shape. But we were thrilled to begin restoring it—we saw what it could be. We could already picture it beautiful and whole.

Then the neighbor came over. She looked at the house, then at us, and said with her head down, "I feel so sorry for you. I used to live there. The floors are falling in. Everything about that house is in bad shape."

We stood in faith, heads still held high, and gently replied, "Oh, don't feel sorry for us. This is what we do."

But over the next two weeks, something started to change. That negative voice crept in. I started dreading the work I had once been excited to do. I asked Alex, "What was that?"

He helped us see it: she stood outside looking in without God, speaking from her experience, her loss, and her pain, and her limited ability. But we had been looking at that house with God, full of hope, standing in what He could do; and what we could do -not alone, but with Him.

This series is here to help shift your perspective

In a world full of sorrow and condemnation, we want to represent Jesus—the Jesus who restores, redeems, and speaks life over you.

If you’ve never met the authentic Jesus—the One full of grace and truth, not shaped by other people’s opinions but by who He really is—we want to introduce you to Him.

He died for you because God sees who you were created to be.

All He asks is that you believe.

And then grow… step by step, thought by thought, taking every one captive to the obedience of Christ.

I hope this helps you open your heart to believe again.

May it bless you, as it has blessed me in the telling.

Come back tomorrow:

Discover the choice you have when trouble knocks at your heart.

My newest teaching video is now live on YouTube.

It’s raw, it’s real — and it’s prayerfully meant for someone God has on His heart today.

As I uploaded this, I also rediscovered my first video from 2016 — one I thought I had lost forever. But like the parable of the lost coin, it was never worthless — just out of circulation for a time. And now? It’s found and brought back to where it can shine light again.

“Or what woman, having ten silver coins, if she loses one coin, does not light a lamp and sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it?”
— Luke 15:8

This new video — and the old one — were waiting to be found for such a time as this.

Maybe you feel like that too: misplaced, overlooked, or just not seen.

But hear this:
You are not lost to God.
And if you seek Him, you will find Him.
