Day 5 — Reaching for Wholeness
The One Who Heals Is Already Near
When Healing Begins
Something has been changing.
You’ve seen.
You’ve surrendered.
You’ve begun to understand that you are known.
And now—
God begins to reach into deeper places.
Not just to change what you do…
but to heal what has held you.
The Place We Get Stuck
Let’s go to John 5.
There was a man who had been lying there for 38 years.
Waiting.
Watching.
Hoping something would change.
He had learned how to live in his condition.
How to cope.
How to wait.
How to stay where he was.
And then—
Jesus came to him.
A Different Question
Jesus didn’t ask,
“How long have you been here?”
He asked:
📖 “Wilt thou be made whole?” — John 5:6 (KJV)
Not a question of shame.
A question of readiness.
Because healing begins…
when we are willing to receive it.
The Voice That Calls You Forward
📖 “Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.” — John 5:8 (KJV)
Jesus didn’t wait for the water to move.
He spoke.
And in that moment—
the man was given something he didn’t have before:
strength
movement
a new beginning
What We Hold Onto
Sometimes we stay where we are—
not because God hasn’t moved…
but because we’ve become used to the place we’re in.
Pain can feel familiar.
Fear can feel safe.
Waiting can feel easier than rising.
But when Jesus speaks—
He is not just addressing your condition.
He is calling you forward.
More Than Healing
This was not just about walking.
This was about wholeness.
Healing is not only physical.
It is spiritual.
It is emotional.
It is the restoring of what has been broken.
And it begins—
when we respond to His voice.
A Moment to Be Honest is Always now
What “mat” have you been lying on?
What place have you stayed—
that Jesus is now asking you to rise from?
Are you waiting for something around you to change—
while He is speaking to you?
The Invitation
Jesus is not waiting for the perfect moment.
He is not waiting for you to feel ready.
He is already here.
And He is already speaking.
Not just to help you cope—
but to make you whole.
A Quiet Response
What would it look like today…
to listen for His voice—
and respond?
Even if it feels unfamiliar.
Even if it feels uncomfortable.
Because when you begin to respond—
you begin to walk in what He has already given.
