Is God Enough?

— When His Presence Becomes Everything

If your heart has been asking, “Is God enough?” — this is for you.

💛 Day 5 — Heart Moment

Is God Enough? — When His Presence Becomes Everything

When it comes to being “enough,”
we often chase more—

more answers
more comfort
more signs

But the most soul-searching moment in my life
came when I asked God one question:

“Lord… are You enough?”

After my husband went to be with Jesus,
everything in me ached.

I looked up through the pain and whispered:

“God… now that he’s with You,
You’re all I have.

I can’t see You.
I can’t touch You.

But You say You’re with me…

so… are You enough?”

That moment wasn’t just about grief.

It was about everything.

Whether you’ve lost someone,
can’t pay a bill,
feel unseen,
or unheard—

the question remains:

👉 Is God enough… when what we value most is gone?

God’s answer came gently—

but unmistakably—

over time.

First, He showed me:

Yes… I am enough.

He was with me
in every raw, helpless,
hope-strained prayer.

When I felt like there was no hope—

Jesus reminded me:

👉 He is Hope.

Then, in a season of real need—

housing
connection
provision—

everything was just barely enough.

No more.
No less.

And God said:

“My provision is precise.

My grace fits perfectly."

And then—

He gave me something I cannot fully explain:

A knowing.

A fullness.

A peace and joy that did not depend
on what I had—

but on Who had me.

I was no longer just surviving.

I was living.

Healed.
Whole.

And I remember whispering again:

“You really are enough, Lord.”

Because His enough…

is not small.

It is everything.

Because His enough…

is not small.

It is everything.

Think about it—

the God who created the heavens,
the earth,
and everything in it—

including you and me—

👉 His enough.

Our “enough” is limited
by what we see,
what we feel,
and what we understand.

But God’s enough—

is beyond what we can think or imagine.

And as we begin to trust Him—

not our feelings—

but Him—

we begin to see differently.

We begin to understand
what life really is.

Not just what we feel in the moment—

but what is eternal.

📖 “In the beginning, God…”

Before your pain.
Before your loss.

Before your question—

👉 God was already there.

So I ask you, gently:

💭 What if the place of emptiness
is the place God wants to fill with Himself?

💭 What if what you wanted
would have kept you
from what you truly needed?

God doesn’t always give us what we want—

but He always gives us what we need.

And in time— we come to understand

He gives us Himself.

Let Him lift you today…

like He lifted the man at the gate.

Like He lifted me.

The same God who met me there—

is ready to meet you here.

💬 You can pray:

“Lord, help me in my unbelief.
Help me believe You are enough.”

And when you believe—

faith will rise.

Your heart will open.

And you too will rise—

to walk and worship
the One who is always near.

I hope this helps you open your heart to believe again.
May it bless you, as it has blessed me in the telling.

With love in Christ,
Karen
