Day 4 — More Than Just Nice
Kindness That Breaks Chains
What Begins to Change
By now, something has shifted.
You’ve seen.
You’ve begun to surrender.
You’ve realized you are not alone—
you are known by God.
And when this begins to take root…
something starts to change in you.
Not just what you believe—
but how you respond.
Kindness Is Not What You Think
Kindness is not weakness.
And it’s not just being nice.
Niceness stays on the surface.
It avoids tension.
It keeps things comfortable.
It protects self.
But kindness—
real, God-led kindness—
moves with purpose.
It is shaped by truth.
It is led by the Spirit.
And it flows from love.
The Kindness of God
📖 “Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering;
not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?”
— Romans 2:4 (KJV)
God’s kindness is not passive.
It is patient.
It is intentional.
It is pursuing.
It doesn’t ignore truth—
it leads us to it.
It doesn’t leave us where we are—
it calls us forward.
What It Produces in Us
When God’s kindness begins to work in us—
it changes how we see people.
We no longer respond from:
hurt
defensiveness
self-protection
We begin to respond from:
grace
truth
compassion
Not because it’s easy—
but because something deeper is leading us.
More Than Nice
Nice says:
“I don’t want conflict.”
Kindness says:
“I care about what is true.”
Nice avoids.
Kindness engages.
Nice keeps things comfortable.
Kindness makes room for healing.
A Different Strength
This kind of kindness doesn’t come naturally.
It comes from surrender.
It comes from knowing:
you don’t have to defend yourself
you don’t have to prove yourself
you don’t have to control the outcome
Because God is already at work.
Even Here
📖 “But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you…” — Matthew 5:44 (KJV)
This is not natural kindness.
This is Spirit-led kindness.
And this kind of love—
breaks chains.
Not just in others—
but in you.
A Moment to Be Honest is always now
Where do you find it easier to be “nice”—
instead of truly kind?
Is there someone in your life—
where God is asking you to respond differently?
Not from emotion—
but from truth and love?
The Invitation
Kindness is not something you force.
It is something God forms in you.
And as you continue to surrender—
He will teach you how to love
in a way that brings life.
A Quiet Realization
This is how you begin to see even more clearly—
not just who God is…
but how He works through you.
