Day 2 — The Power to Let Go
You’re Stronger When You Surrender
What Happens When You Take His Hand
At the end of Day 1, the question was simple:
Will you take it?
Because Jesus is reaching.
But surrender…
is what happens when you respond.
📖 “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and
take up their cross daily and follow me.”
— Luke 9:23
Surrender Is Not Weakness
Surrender is not giving up.
It is not defeat.
It is not losing who you are.
Surrender is choosing to trust God
more than you trust yourself.
It is releasing control—
not because you have nothing left…
but because you are learning
that He sees what you cannot.
What We Hold On To
Many times, we don’t struggle because we don’t believe in God—
we struggle because we don’t want to let go.
We hold on to:
what feels safe
what feels familiar
what we think we need
what we want to control
But what we hold onto…
can keep us from what God is trying to give us.
The Power to Let Go
Letting go feels like losing.
But in God’s Kingdom—
letting go is where strength begins.
Because when you let go—
you make room.
Room for peace.
Room for clarity.
Room for God to move.
Daily Surrender
Jesus didn’t say “once.”
He said:
👉 daily
Every day is a choice.
To trust…
or to take back control.
To follow…
or to go your own way.
And this is where the power is found—
not in perfection—
but in returning to Him again and again.
What Surrender Looks Like
When we surrender, we begin to:
Let go of what’s temporary
to receive what’s eternal
Stop striving
and start trusting
Release control
and receive peace
And slowly—
we begin to see differently.
A Moment to Be Honest is Always for Now
What are you holding onto…
that Jesus is asking you to release?
Is it control?
Fear?
An outcome?
A person?
A version of how you think life should go?
The Invitation
Jesus is not asking you to lose—
He is asking you to trust Him.
Because what He gives
is always greater
than what we hold onto.
And when you let go…
you begin to experience
what it means to truly follow Him.
