Day 3 — Known by Name
You Are Not Overlooked
The One Who Sees You
By now, you’ve seen something.
You’ve taken a step.
You’ve begun to let go.
But now a deeper question begins to rise:
Who is it that’s leading me?
Because surrender becomes easier…
when you know who is holding you.
A God Who Comes Near
Let’s go back to Genesis 16.
Hagar was not where she wanted to be.
She wasn’t in control.
She wasn’t valued.
She wasn’t even being treated with dignity.
And yet—
God came to her.
Not to correct her first.
Not to overlook her.
But to meet her.
To speak to her.
To see her.
📖 “Thou God seest me…” — Genesis 16:13 (KJV)
The First Name Given Back to God
Hagar gave Him a name:
El Roi — The God who sees me
In a place of rejection…
in a place of wandering…
she realized something life-changing:
👉 She was not invisible.
And neither are you.
Being Seen Changes Everything
There is something in all of us that longs:
to be known
to be seen
to be loved
But what we often don’t realize—
is that God already sees us fully.
Not just what others see.
Not just what we show.
He sees:
your heart
your weariness
your thoughts
your longing
your struggle
And He does not turn away.
Known — Not Just Seen
God doesn’t just see you from a distance.
He knows you.
📖 “I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.” — Isaiah 43:1 (KJV)
He calls you personally.
Not by your past.
Not by your mistakes.
But by name.
The Shift
When you begin to understand this—
everything starts to change.
You stop striving to be seen.
You stop performing to be known.
You stop chasing what was never meant to define you.
Because you already are—
seen
known
and held by God
A Moment to Receive
Have you believed the lie
that you are overlooked?
That no one truly sees you?
That your life doesn’t matter?
God is gently inviting you to see something deeper:
👉 He has always seen you.
Even in the places where no one else did.
The Invitation
You are not hidden from God.
You are not forgotten.
You are not unseen.
He is the God who meets people in deserts.
Who speaks to the overlooked.
Who calls people by name.
And He is calling you.
A Quiet Response
What would change today…
if you truly believed
that God sees you?
Not generally.
Not distantly.
But personally.
