💛 Day 2 — Heart Moment
When You Pause — God Moves
The Power of Surrender in Real Life
We think.
We feel.
And we want to respond based on those emotions.
But Jesus has been teaching me something deeper.
To pause.
To take those thoughts captive before I respond—
like breathing in fresh air
and allowing a different outcome.
Because how we respond matters.
God meets us in relationship—
through His Son, Jesus Christ.
He didn’t die for us for nothing.
Learning to Ask First
So now—
I talk to Jesus.
I ask Him for wisdom
based on what I know—
and He meets me in ways
I never could have arranged on my own.
A Small Moment… That Wasn’t Small
Today, I needed a specific chain
to replace one that broke on the concrete mixer.
Someone said:
“Good luck with that.”
But in that moment, I prayed:
“God, help me find the chain.”
Within 20 seconds—
walking into a store I hadn’t even planned to visit—
there it was.
The exact chain.
And just one connector link.
Only one.
At checkout I said,
“I remembered to pray.”
The man behind the counter lit up.
He had Scripture in front of him.
He understood.
He said:
👉 “You’ve got to believe to trust. That’s what faith is.”
That’s the power of surrender.
When It Doesn’t Go Your Way
Yesterday, I lost a lot of work on this series.
I wanted to be frustrated.
But instead—
I paused.
I prayed.
I let it go.
And instead of pushing through stress—
I spent time cleaning the garage with my son.
We laughed.
We worked together.
That too…
was surrender.
Later—
the work was restored.
When God Leads
I’ve seen this again and again.
Once, I needed a way to haul 40 cinder blocks.
I asked God.
And I sensed Him say:
👉 “Buy a trailer.”
That same day—
everything came together.
And when I got home—
Luis, who needed a trailer, asked to buy it.
I only needed the blocks.
God provided the rest.
That’s the power of surrender.
The Invitation
When pressure builds—
pause.
Before reacting—
ask:
👉 “Lord… how?”
And then step forward in faith—
even if you don’t fully understand yet.
What I’ve Learned
There were years where it felt like:
“hurry up and wait.”
But now—
on the other side—
I can say this with confidence:
There is power in surrender.
There is peace in trust.
There is joy in believing.
And above all—
there is a faithful God
who sees what we cannot.

A Quiet Reminder
When you pause—
you make room for God to move.
I hope this helps you open your heart to believe again.
May it bless you, as it has blessed me in the telling.
With love in Christ,
Karen
