Who Is the Holy Spirit — The Gift Jesus Gives

“Before I understood… He was already leading me.”

The Holy Spirit guiding into truth like light shining through trees – John 16:13

I experienced Him…
before I even knew His name

I didn’t even know the Holy Spirit existed
before I met Him.

My Experience Before I Understood

God got my attention…
and all I can say is—

thank You, Jesus.

Who Is the Holy Spirit?

  • “The Mind of Christ living in us…”

  • 1 Corinthians 2:16

I want to share my perspective
of who God has shown Him to be in my life.

The Holy Spirit is:

the Mind of Christ
living in us
when we believe in Jesus
and receive His gift.

1 Corinthians 2:16 (KJV)
“But we have the mind of Christ.”

How I Knew It Was Him

  • “I began to experience Him…”

  • Galatians 5 (fruit)

This is not something I was taught.

I began to experience Him
before I even knew His name.

And as I shared what was happening,
I was told:

This is the Holy Spirit.
This is the fruit He brings.

Galatians 5:22–23 (KJV)
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace…”

What Is Eternal Life?

  • John 17:3

  • “To know Him…”

Jesus told us what life eternal is:

John 17:3 (KJV)
“And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.”

To know Him.

Not just know about Him—
but to know Him.

And how do we come to know Him?

Jesus asked the Father
to send us the gift.

John 16:13 (KJV)
“When he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth… and he will shew you things to come.”

How much truth?

All truth.

He helps us.
He prepares us.
He calms us.
He leads us.

Psalm 23:2 (KJV)
“He leadeth me beside the still waters.”

The Gift Jesus Promised

  • John 16:13

  • “He will guide you into all truth…”

This is the gift Jesus gives.

We are saved by grace through faith.

But confession is made unto salvation.

Romans 10:9–10 (KJV)
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus… thou shalt be saved… for with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

What the Holy Spirit Does

  • He helps us

  • He prepares us

  • He calms us

  • He leads us

  • Psalm 23

Confession matters.

Because if we don’t confess with our heart—
how can we recognize
the salvation of the Lord
working in our lives?

Salvation, Confession, and Transformation

  • Romans 10

  • Philippians 2

   This is where depth happens

This is the transformation process
of being saved.

And we need the gift Jesus gave—

the Holy Spirit,
and the Word living inside of us—

to even understand
how much we need Jesus.

Philippians 2:12 (KJV)
“Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.”

Why This Matters

  • “Do we understand the fear…”

  • Obedience

  • Separation from God

Yes, we love Jesus.

But do we understand
the fear of being separated from God
enough to do as the Father says?

This is where the Holy Spirit leads us—
into truth,
into obedience,
into life.

How much did God love us?

John 3:16 (KJV)
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son…”

God’s Love and the Gift of Life

  • John 3:16

  • Connection to knowing God

He loved you so much
that He gave.

So that none should perish—
but have everlasting life.

And what is that life?

Jesus already told us.

To know God.
To know Jesus Christ.

And the Holy Spirit
is the gift given
to help us walk in that life.

A Personal Word to You

  • “I appreciate you being here…”

  • “I thank God for you…”

I appreciate you being here with me.

I thank God for you.

I pray this is an overflow
from what He has given me—

to you.

Because a blessing is a gift from God
meant to be shared…

so others can be blessed
by what He first gave us.

Oh how I love Jesus.

And I thank Him
from the depths of my heart.

I feel His anointing on me
to share this with you.

This is God’s appointed time.

This is your season
to know
and grow
in the love God has for you.

Let’s begin to learn from Jesus
together.

And this, my friends—

isn’t this
what Jesus calls the Church?

And this leads us to the next question…

My newest teaching video is now live on YouTube.

It’s raw, it’s real — and it’s prayerfully meant for someone God has on His heart today.

As I shared this new teaching, I was reminded of something the Lord has shown me over time: faith grows, but it remains the same faith.

The Freedoms in Christ: How Jesus Sets the Soul Free series reflects my current season of teaching — but along the way, the Lord gently led me to include two earlier videos created before this website ever existed.

One was recorded in 2015–2016, when I was first stepping out in faith, simply obeying and learning to trust God, day by day.

The other was shared a few years ago, during a season when the Lord was healing me and freeing me from pain that tried to turn loneliness into bondage.

Looking back, I see now: they were never separate stories — they were part of the same journey of faith, growth, and freedom in Christ.

Just like the parable Jesus shared:

“Or what woman, having ten silver coins, if she loses one coin, does not light a lamp and sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it?”
— Luke 15:8

Nothing God works through is ever lost — sometimes it’s simply waiting for the right time to be seen again.

Maybe you feel that way too: overlooked, out of season, or unsure where you belong.

But hear this:
You are not lost to God.
And if you seek Him, you will find Him.
