Walking Differently Five Years Later
Learning to trust God through grief, responsibility, healing, endurance, and the quiet faithfulness of everyday steps.

“He hath made every thing beautiful in his time…”
—Ecclesiastes 3:11 (KJV)
Five years later… and I am still walking.
Not the same walk.
Not the same strength.
Not the same understanding.
Not even the same responsibilities.
But God is still faithful in every step.
And I am experiencing a growing in Christ that is now to encourage you too.
Some things in life were handed to me unexpectedly.
“A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps -Proverbs 16:9 KJV.”
Some responsibilities became mine simply because someone else could not carry them.
And somewhere along the way, I realized life keeps moving one step at a time whether we feel fully ready or not.
Today, it was simply me, a little dog I never planned on fully caring for, and another walk under the sun.
And somehow, in that ordinary moment, I realized something beautiful:
God still meets us in the steps.
“The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord… -(Psalm 37:23-24 KJV).”
God Still Meets Us in the Steps
Not only the big moments.
Not only the victories.
Not only the parts of life that appear strong or glamorous.
But the everyday steps too.
The tired steps.
The healing steps.
The responsible steps.
The unsure steps.
The “I’m still figuring this out” steps.
Five years ago, life looked very different for me.
And yet here I am.
Still walking.
Still growing.
Still learning that God is faithful in every season.
Sometimes we look at life like a complicated equation we cannot solve.
Too many unknowns.
Too much grief.
Too many responsibilities.
Too many changes we never asked for.
But what if God is the multiplier before every equation?
“Roll your works upon the Lord [commit and trust them wholly to Him; He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and] so shall your plans be established and succeed.”
Proverbs 16:3 (AMPC)
What if His grace is already working inside the problem before we even understand the outcome?
Grace for the Next Step
The Bible says:
“And God is able to make all grace abound toward you…”
— 2 Corinthians 9:8
Not some grace.
All grace.
Enough grace for grief.
Enough grace for growth.
Enough grace for boundaries.
Enough grace for responsibility.
Enough grace for the next step.
Even Slow Healing Is Healing
Maybe you are walking through a season right now you never planned for either.
Maybe your life looks nothing like it once did.
But take heart
one faithful step with God is still movement forward.
Even slow healing is healing.
Even tired faith can still walk.
Even small steps matter.
And maybe today is not about having the whole equation solved.
Maybe today is simply about trusting God enough to take the next step.
One step at a time.
One prayer at a time.
One day at a time.
Even one breath at a time.
