Come sit with me a while as we explore how Jesus transforms the soul from the inside out through the Beatitudes in Matthew 5.
Sometimes God comforts us.
And sometimes God transforms us.
In this teaching from Matthew 5, Karen shares how God slowly began emptying the things that were filling the soul but never truly satisfying it — pride, fear, emotional striving, validation, grief, self-protection, and the constant need for “more.”
Using the Beatitudes, this message explores the difference between the carnal nature and the Spirit-led life.
The carnal nature is always needing.
The spiritually minded life is continually filling.
“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled.”— Matthew 5:6
This video reflects on how Jesus was not only bringing comfort through grief and hardship, but was also transforming the heart, renewing the mind, and teaching a deeper spiritual life from the inside out.
Comfort was the doorway.
Transformation was the deeper work.
Karen shares how, looking back now, she realizes God took her through each Beatitude before she even understood what He was doing.
Little by little, Jesus was replacing old attitudes, old reactions, old pride, and old ways of thinking with the Spirit of Christ.
What pours in will eventually pour out.
