Christian devotional about trusting God's timing and walking in obedience with peace, based on Proverbs 16:9 and Exodus 14:14
God’s timing is not rushed. When we trust Him, we learn to walk in peace instead of striving for control.

Post 3 — The Timing

Stop controlling outcomes → Trust God’s timing through obedience

Part Three — The Timing

God’s time is not late.

It is teaching.

I’m learning something about time…

God’s time is perfect—

because time belongs to Him.

And time… is actually a gift.

Not just to get things done,

but to accomplish His will in us.

And I’m starting to see this:

How I use time is a decision…

but how long something takes

often depends on me.

Because there is something we all face:

Doing what we know God is asking us to do…

…but we don’t feel like it

…don’t prioritize it

…or quietly put it off

So what happens?

It stays.

Until what?

Until surrender happens.

Until obedience meets grace.

Because obedience is not pressure.

It is the doorway to peace.

And once I do what God is asking…

Something shifts:

The weight lifts.

The delay ends.

Peace comes in.

And I’m realizing this too:

There will always be another place to trust God.

That’s why we are here.

To learn trust…

and then to live from that trust.

His timing…

is impeccable.

I live by this:

Don’t rush.

Don’t delay.

And when something feels like a wall…

I ask:

“Lord, what is it in me

that You are requiring me to see?”

Because when the Lord reveals it…

we are never the same.

And the lesson continues:

How do I respond

when people don’t respond how I want?

And here is the truth I’m learning:

I am the one who decides what it means.

I am the one who chooses how I respond.

So what is this all producing?

Peace.

“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you…”

— John 14:27 (KJV)

Peace in time.

Peace in response.

Peace in letting go.

And maybe this is where freedom really begins:

Letting God work in me…

while allowing others to grow at their pace.

Because we are not called to control outcomes.

We are called to trust God’s timing—

and obey.

Still learning this.

But I can see it now.

And once you receive this…

you are not the same.

You grow.

You let go.

You trust deeper.

Peace, my brothers and sisters in Christ.

It really is peace.

Still learning this.

But now… standing in it.
