The Framework of Faith Theme: Learning to walk daily with God while life still feels unfinished.

After reading through Romans 3–5 and realizing more deeply that we are justified by faith through Jesus Christ, my heart naturally began asking another question:
“Okay Lord…I believe this is true…how do we WALK this out every day?”
And honestly, that question met me right in the middle of real life.
Not in a perfect church moment.
Not sitting with everything figured out.
Not standing in some polished place of completion.
But sitting inside an unfinished building…
looking up at open framework…
learning by faith as I go.
That is where this devotion was born.
Standing there looking upward through unfinished steel beams and open sky,
I realized something:
Faith often looks like standing underneath something that is still being built.
Not everything is finished yet…
God is still working on our heart transformation.
It is a process of salvation and sanctification.
Not everything feels covered yet.
Yet by grace, we are covered by God.
In this world we have difficulties.
People do not always watch out for us…but God always does.
We can trust God and follow Jesus — as far as it depends on us.
Not everything fully makes sense yet.
But the framework is there.
And if the framework is strong, the rest can come together in time.
Honestly, this moment felt a lot like my walk with Jesus.
God often gives us framework before full understanding.
And I think that is hard for people sometimes because we want:
immediate answers,
immediate clarity,
immediate completion,
immediate peace.
And, if we are honest, sometimes we expect more out of people than they are capable of giving with the light they currently have in their hearts too.
But God builds differently than we do.
God is building relationships.
Piece by piece.
Layer by layer.
Faith to faith.
And every relationship first begins with knowing God and Jesus Christ,
the Son of God that God sent.
Then from there,
God continues building us together into His Church —
the body of Christ — with Jesus, who is both Savior and Lord.
And while standing there trying to map out electrical plans,
learning measurements, figuring things out step by step,
even thinking future forward with room to grow.
I suddenly realized something deeper:
This is exactly how God has been building me too.

Not instantly.
Not all at once.
But patiently.
Strength first.
Structure first.
Foundation first.
Remembering always that:
We are weak, but He is strong.
God’s way is different than the world’s way.
Jesus is the foundation — the cornerstone of everything we build our life upon, everything we think, and everything we do.
Our emotions cannot lead us.
God’s Word and His Spirit must be given room to lead us so God can overflow even through the things that do not feel good to our human nature.
And honestly, that process can feel uncomfortable.
Because unfinished places can feel vulnerable sometimes.
Sometimes life feels exactly like that open framework:
Life can feel stretched,
uncertain,
still growing,
still learning,
still waiting on understanding.
But that does not mean God is absent.
Even in unfinished seasons, we are still covered by God.
Sometimes it simply means construction is still happening.
From the very beginning, God covered Adam and Eve.
And through Christ Jesus, God fully provided covering for us
through grace, mercy, righteousness, and salvation.
So this framework did not make me think:
God forgot to cover us.
It reminded me instead that God often continues building us
while we are safely held in His hands.
Construction is still happening.
Growth is still happening.
And God is still faithful in the middle of the process.
I believe — and honestly this makes my face smile —
all of this really means we are God’s children.
I hope this encourages you in the Lord too.
Romans 5 stays alive in my heart through this whole process called life:
“And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also:
knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
And patience, experience; and experience, hope.”— Romans 5:3–4
That means the difficult places are not meaningless.
God is building something through them.
Patience.
Endurance.
Experience.
Hope.
And honestly, I think one of the hardest parts of life is
not always the big crisis moments.
Sometimes it is simply continuing.
Continuing to trust.
Continuing to show up.
Continuing to pray.
Continuing to walk with Jesus
when we still do not fully understand what He is building.
But maybe that is part of real faith too.
Not pretending we already see the finished product.
But trusting the Builder while standing inside unfinished places.

And maybe that is why this devotion naturally continued into what came next too.
Because eventually another question followed:
“How do we KEEP GOING through ordinary life?”
How do we continue when routines get tiring?
When responsibilities repeat?
When people disappoint us?
When life keeps demanding more strength?
That became:
Go — Strengthened by the Holy Spirit
Because the truth is:
we were never meant to walk this life in our own strength alone.
And honestly, I am still learning all of this while walking it out myself.
Still learning.
Still growing.
Still trusting God in unfinished places.
But one thing I know for sure:
Jesus is faithful to continue the work He begins.
“He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.”— Philippians 1:6
To God be the glory.
