God has been teaching me that time belongs to Him. Through grief, faith, and surrender, He continues healing my soul and revealing the hope of eternity through Jesus Christ.

There was a time in my grief journey when I realized something I had never understood before:

Part of my pain was connected to time.

Not just missing someone…but wanting more time.

More moments.

More conversations.

More life with the people I loved.

After losing my husband, Rob, I often felt the ache of what was no longer here. And later, while reflecting on my dad and the process of letting go, I realized something even deeper:

Sometimes love holds on so tightly that it struggles to release people into God’s hands.

I remember recognizing in my own heart:

“I don’t want him to go.”

And in time, the Lord gently began showing me something through grief, surrender, prayer, and truth:

Time belongs to God.

That realization changed something in me.

One of the first moments where I believe the Lord helped me hear truth more deeply was after Rob passed away. In my grief, God allowed me to understand something in a way that brought peace to my soul.

The understanding came like this:

“You think it will take an eternity of time to see Rob again…but you’ve got it backwards.

It’s only a vapor of time until we get to where he is.

Eternity is the place we go.”

That brought tremendous comfort to my heart because I had unknowingly defined love so much through time.

But God has continued teaching me that eternity is not merely endless time.

Eternity begins in knowing Him.

Jesus said, and it is found written:

📖 John 17:3

“And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.”

As I continued walking with God, I began seeing how grief, faith, surrender, healing, and love were all connecting together through Christ.

I also began realizing:

we are already loved by God.

And because we are loved by Him, we are free to love others more selflessly — not clinging to people out of fear, but trusting God with every life, every breath, and every moment of time.

This understanding continued unfolding even through everyday moments.

One simple drive to the bank unexpectedly became another picture of faith in action.

I almost did not make it before closing time,

but I kept moving forward by faith anyway.

During that drive, the Lord continued unfolding deeper understanding about:

  • faith,

  • patience,

  • surrender,

  • love,

  • time,

  • and trusting God with outcomes.

That small moment became part of a much larger revelation:

faith keeps moving,

and love learns to think beyond itself.

The Bible tells us:

📖 Ephesians 2:8

“For by grace are ye saved through faith…”

And Romans says:

📖 Romans 10:10

“For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

God truly does guide us little by little through His Spirit when we seek Him in truth.

📖 John 16:13

“Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth…”

I am still learning.

Still growing.

Still healing.

But I can honestly say:

We are not stuck.

We are growing in an ever-increasing knowledge of God and His Son.

And when you begin to know and believe the love God has for you through Jesus Christ, something changes in your soul forever.

📖 1 John 4:16

“And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us.

God is love…”

My prayer is that this testimony encourages someone else who is grieving, afraid, struggling to let go, or searching for peace.

There is hope in Jesus.

And maybe what feels like an ending is not the end at all…

but the beginning of understanding eternity differently through Him.

Glory Hallelujah.

Thank You, Jesus.
