Day 3: Move in Faith
Take the Step You’ve Been Avoiding
You’ve seen what God has given you.
You’ve begun to trust that it has purpose.
Now comes the part that changes everything:
Movement.
Because faith was never meant to stay still.
📖 Scripture Focus
“Faith without works is dead.”
— James 2:17
Painting a picture of faith ~
It's like having a cake mix in your cabinet and . . .
Wanting a cake and knowing a cake without faith will never
become that cake you so desire in your life.
We mix our faith with God's Faithfulness.
There comes a moment when knowing
is no longer enough.
When trusting
is no longer enough.
There comes a moment
when you have to move.
Not because everything feels clear—
but because God has already made enough clear to take one step.
The man in Acts 3 didn’t just receive healing—
he had to respond to it.
“Get up and walk.”
And in that moment,
movement became the evidence of faith.
Sometimes we are waiting for confirmation,
when God is waiting for action.
We want another sign,
another feeling,
another reassurance.
But often, the next step is already in front of us—
and obedience is what unlocks what comes next.
Faith doesn’t eliminate fear.
It moves anyway.
It doesn’t require full understanding—
just enough trust to take the next step.
There are steps we avoid.
The conversation.
The decision.
The release.
The obedience.
Not because we don’t know—
but because we’re afraid of what happens next.
A pause to share from learned perspective ~
Our human nervous system is trained to expect what comes next,
but faith trusts God and depends on His next step.
It's okay to feel it in your gut - that nervousness that human relationships have
trained us to expect.
But trusting God is different.
He will teach us to respond by exposing our own negative throughs and feelings
Taking them to the Lord in prayer
Depending on His guidance into all truth
And following Jesus step by step to get there.
When we see what God already knew, our faith grows.
Peace ~ "the peace of God" and "the God of peace"
replaces our negative emotions, as our thoughts are renewing in Him.
God replaces that negative nervous energy that tries to control us,
tries to stop us, and even tries to speak convincing energy to us wanting us to
figure "it" (our faith) would have a bad outcome.
But God never leaves us in a bad outcome.
Don't forget this ~
we can't allow our self to walk away from
one of the first things God taught me in His word:
Love always hopes, Love always believes, Love always endures, Love always perseveres.
But staying still doesn’t protect you.
It keeps you stuck.
And what God is calling you into
will always require movement before comfort.
I will not stay where fear is keeping me.
I will move in faith,
even if the step feels small.
God is with me in the movement.
Reflect & Respond
What step have you been avoiding?
~ and can we pause for another question regarding the peace that is not there in you over that?
How long do you want it to last?
Where do you feel God nudging you to move?
What would obedience look like—
today?
Don’t overthink it.
Ask God for courage,
and take the step.
Prayer
Lord,
give me the courage to move.
Even when I feel uncertain,
even when I feel afraid,
help me to trust You enough to take the next step.
Break the fear that keeps me still,
and lead me forward in faith.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
The breakthrough you’re waiting for
may be on the other side of your next step.
