Truth Beyond Feelings
From Separation to Relationship Through Christ

Truth Beyond Feelings
Feelings are real, but they are not always truthful.
This teaching explores the difference between outward behavior and inward condition, revealing how shame, separation, identity, and spiritual fruit are all connected to our relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
From Adam hiding in the garden to the restoration found in Christ, this reflection points beyond emotion and into the truth that transforms the heart.
The Invitation
Truth Beyond Feelings
From Separation to Relationship Through Christ
Adam and Eve were not born the way you and I were born.
Scripture says they were made in the image and likeness of God.
And when sin entered the world, something devastating happened.
The glory and fellowship they once walked in with God was broken.
For the very first time, humanity became aware of separation.
They realized they were naked.
Ashamed.
Afraid.
And they hid from God.
So they tried to cover themselves with fig leaves.
But fig leaves could never restore what sin had broken.
Because sin is not merely bad behavior.
Sin is separation from God.
What Is Iniquity?
Scripture says:
📖 “Your iniquities have separated between you and your God…” — Isaiah 59:2
Iniquity is deeper than outward mistakes.
It is the bent condition of the fallen human heart apart from God.
Sin wounds.
Sin separates.
Sin darkens understanding.
Sin breaks fellowship with God.
And humanity has been trying to cover that separation ever since.
Sometimes with religion.
Sometimes with pride.
Sometimes with performance.
Sometimes with distractions.
Sometimes with outward morality while inwardly remaining disconnected from God.
But no human covering can restore the soul.
Only God can.
Why the Face of God Matters
Isaiah says sin caused God's face to be hidden.
But then Scripture reveals something incredible:
📖 “For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts… in the face of Jesus Christ.” — 2 Corinthians 4:6
We see the love and nature of God revealed through Jesus Christ.
Some may say:
“But I have never seen Jesus.”
And this is exactly why God calls believers to live and walk in Christ before the world.
Not perfectly.
But truthfully.
Lovingly.
Humbly.
Our lives are meant to demonstrate Christ.
This is one of the ways God continues revealing His love to the world.
And given the opportunity, we do not want to miss the chance to tell you:
God loves you deeply.
How much?
📖 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son…” — John 3🕓
What Does “Begotten” Mean?
“Begotten” speaks of the unique Sonship of Jesus Christ.
Jesus was not merely another human being.
He is the eternal Word made flesh.
📖 “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us…” — John 1🕑
Adam was created.
But Jesus was born into humanity without sin to restore what humanity lost.
He came as “God with us.”
Jesus entered the darkness of human suffering willingly.
And on the cross, something happened far deeper than physical pain.
Jesus experienced the separation sin produces.
The judgment.
The abandonment.
The weight of sin.
Not because of His sin.
But because He was carrying ours.
And in that dark hour, God demonstrated both the seriousness of sin and the greatness of His love.
Jesus endured separation so we could be restored to relationship.
📖 “For the joy that was set before him endured the cross…” — Hebrews 12:2
That joy included us.
Relationship Defined
Religion says:
“Do more. Try harder. Cover yourself better.”
But the gospel says:
“Believe.”
📖 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” — Romans 10:9
📖 “For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” — Romans 10:10
This is not dead religion.
This is relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
The human heart apart from God is deceptive.
📖 “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked…” — Jeremiah 17:9
Which is exactly why we need Christ.
And praise God — He did not leave us alone.
He gave us His Son.
And through the Holy Spirit, He guides us into truth and teaches us how to walk with God again.
Brighter Days Even Through Dark Hours
Following Jesus does not mean life becomes free from storms.
But relationship with God changes how we walk through them.
Sometimes the rain itself becomes the place where we finally experience relief.
Release.
Surrender.
Healing.
And discover the beauty of being carried by God.
Even in dark hours, Christ becomes our peace.
Our identity is no longer found in shame, hiding, performance, or fear.
Our identity is found in Him.
And Jesus prayed not for us to be removed from the world,
but protected within it.
📖 John 17 shows us that Jesus prayed for those who would believe through the words spoken about Him.
That means our lives now have purpose.
To reflect Christ.
To love others.
To speak truth.
To point people toward reconciliation with God.
To walk in relationship instead of hiding behind fig leaves.
And to remind the world:
God is still looking for people the same way He came looking for Adam.
Not merely to expose them.
But to restore them.
To God be the glory.
And thank You, Jesus.
You were never meant to hide.
You were created to walk with God through Jesus Christ.
Love in Christ,
Karen
