Why Not Use the Gate
In this teaching and personal testimony, Karen shares a real-life experience about learning to walk in peace, obedience, and trust through Jesus Christ during an ordinary but challenging day.
While waiting at a dealership after an early morning truck service appointment, she spends time in prayer, Bible study, and reflection. Through Hebrews 12, Revelation 22, and other Scriptures, she begins exploring the spiritual meaning of “gates” throughout the Bible.

Walking With Jesus — One Step at a Time
Sometimes God teaches us through the middle of ordinary life.
An early morning truck service appointment, unexpected traffic, waiting at a dealership, exhaustion, interruptions, and quiet moments alone with Him can all become opportunities for reflection, prayer, and spiritual understanding.
In this teaching and personal testimony, Karen shares how an ordinary but challenging day became a reminder about peace, obedience, surrender, and learning to walk with Jesus in everyday life.
While sitting at the dealership waiting on repairs, time was spent reading Scripture, praying, and seeking God honestly. During that quiet time, attention kept returning to a
repeated theme throughout the Bible:
Gates.
As Scripture unfolded through passages in Hebrews, Revelation, John, and Matthew, it became clear that gates throughout the Bible often symbolize much more than physical entrances.
They represent:
• access
• authority
• surrender
• belonging
• judgment
• separation
• invitation
• and ultimately the decision of whether we truly enter through Jesus Christ Himself.
📖 Jesus said:
“I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved…”
— John 10:9 (KJV)
The more this theme unfolded, the clearer it became that many people know about Jesus, but fewer truly learn to walk with Him daily.
There is a difference between:
• knowing Scripture intellectually
• and allowing God to transform the heart through truth.
There is a difference between:
• hearing about the Gate
• and actually entering through it.
Throughout the Bible, gates often marked
:• entry into safety or danger
• access or exclusion
• blessing or judgment
• surrender or rebellion
• life or death
And ultimately, Jesus Himself becomes the Gate through which eternal life, peace, truth, and reconciliation with God are found.
This teaching is not about condemnation.
It is an invitation to pause, reflect honestly, and consider whether we are truly walking with Jesus in spirit and truth.
Sometimes God uses the ordinary moments of life to slow us down long enough to hear Him clearly.
The traffic.
The waiting.
The interruptions.
The exhaustion.
The quiet.
The reflection.
All of it can become part of the journey of learning to trust Him more deeply.
