Sunset over a peaceful lake with Proverbs 3:5-6 Bible Verse: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding - Hope in Today Ministries devotion
The table of the heart is where trust, surrender, and understanding meet. When we invite the Lord to sit at that table, He begins to direct every path before us. Proverbs 3:5-6

What is the table of your heart?

Good morning & I thank God for waking us up today.

If you are reading this, this is for you.

As I read and looked slowly

through the words of today’s Scripture message

to help us and if for us today,

I noticed a word within a word

that makes a difference in our heart.

The word is know

within acknowledge Him.

Jesus said in the Word of God

“This is Life Eternal to know God and to know the Son He sent.”

In the beginning was the word

and the word was with God

and the word was God

and the word became flesh

and dwelt among us

and that word was life

and that life was the light of men.

It is also written in my heart to say

when we come to know and believe in the love God has for us.

God is love.

And, he who abides in love

abides in God and God in us.

So the verse of the day is truth

and advising in the Spirit

to know Jesus and the Father who sent him as both Savior and Lord.

Confession is made unto salvation

I believe day by day as we take everything to the Lord in prayer

because we are human and we need Jesus

and the Spirit the Father sends us to be made alive.

Read this verse slowly

and take your heart to God in prayer

and ask God for His thoughts to fill you by His grace.

That’s what I did today.

And this is what I wrote.

I hope this blessed your heart to believe on Jesus

to know God more and more every moment of every today.

Before this verse, our Lord says,

“let not mercy and truth forsake you …

bind them around your neck & write them on the table of your heart.

…find favor & good understanding.

After this verse, our Lord says,

do not be wise in thine own eyes…

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart;

And lean not unto thine own understanding.

In all thy ways acknowledge him,

And he shall direct thy paths.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭3‬:‭5‬-‭6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It's about knowing God personally & responding to Him, because we do.

Love in Christ,

Karen

The Word of God is a blessing and calm to our soul. It is a direction for our heart.

My newest teaching video is now live on YouTube.

It’s raw, it’s real — and it’s prayerfully meant for someone God has on His heart today.

As I shared this new teaching, I was reminded of something the Lord has shown me over time: faith grows, but it remains the same faith.

The Freedoms in Christ: How Jesus Sets the Soul Free series reflects my current season of teaching — but along the way, the Lord gently led me to include two earlier videos created before this website ever existed.

One was recorded in 2015–2016, when I was first stepping out in faith, simply obeying and learning to trust God, day by day.

The other was shared a few years ago, during a season when the Lord was healing me and freeing me from pain that tried to turn loneliness into bondage.

Looking back, I see now: they were never separate stories — they were part of the same journey of faith, growth, and freedom in Christ.

Just like the parable Jesus shared:

“Or what woman, having ten silver coins, if she loses one coin, does not light a lamp and sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it?”
— Luke 15:8

Nothing God works through is ever lost — sometimes it’s simply waiting for the right time to be seen again.

Maybe you feel that way too: overlooked, out of season, or unsure where you belong.

But hear this:
You are not lost to God.
And if you seek Him, you will find Him.
