Under the Sky: When Faith Feels Foolish

Tonight I stood under a sky filled with stars —
galaxies stretching farther than my eyes could follow.
And I felt small.
Alone.
Like one tiny dot in the middle of this massive world.
Have you ever felt that?
Yet right there, under the vastness of it all,
this quiet truth whispered into my soul:
God sees me.
God knows me.
Even here… even now.
But then comes the question — the tension I can’t shake:
Is this where people misunderstand?
Do they think that believing in God like this means I’m blind to others?
That I just think about myself while people out there are hurting?
Honestly… sometimes I don’t know how to explain it.
To those who don’t believe, faith can seem illogical.
And to those who do believe, it’s hard to understand how anyone could live without it.
So what is faith, really?
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”— Hebrews 11:1
The Balance Between Logic and Faith
Logic asks, “Where’s the evidence?”
Faith says, “I’ve heard His voice. I’ve seen His hand.
I trust Him even when I don’t see.”
And the truth is — everyone has faith in something.
Even those who deny God still put their faith somewhere:
In science, in people, in themselves, or in the idea that death is simply the end.
But saving faith — the kind that hears God and follows —comes from the Word.
“Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”— Romans 10:17
What About Those Who Don’t Want to Hear?
That’s the question I keep circling:
How do we reach people who don’t want to hear?
We live in a world jaded by religious hurt, confusion, and sometimes even corruption.
So how can we bring Jesus to someone who’s been burned by “religion”?
We love them.
We listen.
We pray.
And when the Spirit opens the door — we speak.
Not with pressure, but with peace.
Not with pride, but with presence.
Because Jesus didn’t force people to believe.
He walked beside them, sat with them, cried with them…
And let them choose.
Is This Website Crazy?
Maybe to some, it is.
But Noah looked crazy too — until the flood came.
Jesus looked foolish to the world — until He rose again.
So no, this website isn’t crazy.
It’s a lamp in a dark world. A hand held out. A whisper of light for the hurting and the small.
Even if only one soul finds hope here — it matters.
Because under this sky, so vast and deep,
we are never unseen.
And the God who made the galaxies … He still bends low to whisper your name.
Reflect
Have you ever felt small and unseen?
Where do you place your faith?
Who around you might need love, not debate?
Scripture for Today
“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”— Psalm 46:10
“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.”— 1 Corinthians 1:18
You’re not crazy for believing.
You’re just walking the narrow road —
and it still leads to life.
