Hope in a World of Deception
“Every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.”
— 1 John 4:3 (NKJV)
Have you ever felt a quiet pull in your heart—a subtle whisper that questions who Jesus really is?
The Bible tells us that not every voice in this world is from God.
Some voices challenge the very truth that sets us free: that Jesus is the Son of God who came in the flesh to save us.
Scripture calls this influence the spirit of antichrist—a deceptive spirit already at work in the world, twisting truth and replacing it with confusion.
But you are not alone in this.
And you don’t have to be afraid.
The Lord has given you His Spirit—the Spirit of Truth—to help you recognize the real Jesus, and to keep your heart anchored in His Word.
You don’t need to memorize every false teaching. You only need to know the True One.
The more you know Jesus, the easier it becomes to spot what isn’t of Him.
The real Jesus walked among us. He healed the brokenhearted. He died for your sins and rose again. He is alive—and He is truth.
Reflection:
Have I invited the Holy Spirit to help me recognize what is true?
What “false versions” of Jesus might the world offer me?
Am I staying rooted in the Word so I can know Him more?
Prayer:
Jesus,
You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.
You came in the flesh to bring me truth and life.
Keep me from deception. Help me to know You—
not just in mind, but in heart and Spirit.
Make my faith strong and my love for You even stronger.
I want to recognize Your voice clearly in a world full of noise.
In Your holy name, Amen.
