The Crossroad of Surrender

“What things does God work for the good? - All Things! Romans 8:28
“What things does God work for the good? - All Things! Romans 8:28

Scripture:

"Choose today whom you will serve... But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."— Joshua 24:15 (NLT)

There comes a point when seeing leads to choosing.

Not just observing… but responding.

You can’t stand at the crossroads forever. At some point, the clarity God has given invites you to move—toward Him.

Joshua’s words echo through time, calling each heart to the same place of decision:

“Choose today.”

It’s not always dramatic. Sometimes choosing Jesus is quiet—like saying no to fear. Or yes to trust. Sometimes it’s turning away from comfort to walk the narrow road.

But always, the invitation is personal. And always, Jesus is worth it.

He’s not just the one who heals, sees, or walks with you.

He’s the Savior who gave everything to be with you forever.

And today, you see that clearly. So…Will you follow Him?

Heart Moment – Nothing Is Wasted

ree

I’ve lived this.

Obedience didn’t always come easy—especially when I didn’t feel like it or want to.

Not when the pain was fresh.

Not when the betrayal was real.

Not when the lies and unfairness were louder than truth.

But I chose to obey anyway.

And what poured into my spirit on the other side?

Freedom.

Not a little lift… but a flood of life

I couldn’t explain.

I found myself trying to put it into words—this thing that made me feel so alive—and someone looked at me and said,

“Karen, that’s called deliverance.”

Tears fell. Because that’s exactly what it was.

His name is Jesus.

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him…”—Romans 8:28

How many things? All.

What things? Even that.

Even the betrayal.

Even the silence.

Even the parts of your story you wish you could write off or rip out.

God uses it all—to build, to break, and to bless.

I’ve learned: what I thought was too broken, God used to grow me up in His everything.

Can you trust Him with that piece?

You are invited today to surrender your “even that” to Jesus.

Let Him work what only He can.

And if you’re curious—if your heart is stirring—about who this Jesus really is, and what He means when He says “let”…I’d love to talk more with you.

You have a choice.

And when your faith intersects with His faithfulness, friend

you will never be the same.

Trusting Him with all my things, and praying you can too,

Love in Christ,

Karen

Reflection Questions:

  • What’s keeping you at the crossroads?

  • What is one step of surrender you can take today?

  • What would it mean for your house—your life—to serve the Lord starting now?

Prayer:

Jesus, I see You clearly—and I choose You.

Not just for comfort or blessing, but because You are Lord.

Forgive me where I’ve hesitated or turned away.

Lead me into surrender, step by step.

Help me live fully for You, beginning today.

Amen.

Invitation:

Jesus wants to walk with you. If you're ready, tell God you believe Jesus is the Son of God, who died, was buried, and rose again so you can live.

Surrender your "even that" to Jesus. Let Him work what only He can.

Come back tomorrow:

We wrap up with the power of seeing and surrendering.

My newest teaching video is now live on YouTube.

It’s raw, it’s real — and it’s prayerfully meant for someone God has on His heart today.

As I uploaded this, I also rediscovered my first video from 2016 — one I thought I had lost forever. But like the parable of the lost coin, it was never worthless — just out of circulation for a time. And now? It’s found and brought back to where it can shine light again.

“Or what woman, having ten silver coins, if she loses one coin, does not light a lamp and sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it?”
— Luke 15:8

This new video — and the old one — were waiting to be found for such a time as this.

Maybe you feel like that too: misplaced, overlooked, or just not seen.

But hear this:
You are not lost to God.
And if you seek Him, you will find Him.
