Prologue – The Treasure of Wisdom
Every journey begins with a question: Where will I seek wisdom?
Scripture:
“Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and
find the knowledge of God. For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh
knowledge and understanding.”
— Proverbs 2:5–6
Wisdom is one of the greatest treasures God offers His children.
It is more than clever thoughts or good advice—
it is the very light of God teaching us how to walk in His way.
The world’s wisdom may sound persuasive,
but it leads to envy, confusion, and striving.
But the wisdom that comes from above is pure,
peaceable, and full of mercy.
Every believer will face moments of decision:
Will I follow the pull of my human nature,
or will I listen for the wisdom that comes from God?
Learning to discern this difference is the beginning of living as
an overcomer.
---
If you have been searching for answers, take heart—
God is not hiding wisdom from you.
He is inviting you to ask, to seek, and
to receive.
The fear of the Lord is the doorway,
and the knowledge of God is the treasure within.
Reflection
Where am I currently seeking understanding—
within myself, or from God?
Am I willing to pause,
ask, and
receive His wisdom before I move forward?
Prayer
Father, give me a heart that longs for Your wisdom.
Teach me to value Your ways
above my own thoughts,
and help me recognize the difference between
what is earthly and
what is from above.
Lead me into the treasure of
knowing You.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
