💬 Before We Begin

Before we dive in, can we pause and talk — heart to heart?

💡 Devotion Title: Called, Covered, and Chosen

📖 Scripture: “You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart.” — Jeremiah 29:13 (NIV)

💬 Before We Begin: Before we dive in, can we pause and talk — heart to heart?

This message touches something deep — a place where trust meets wounds. If you’ve experienced someone using spiritual authority to control, confuse, or silence you — know this: God sees you. He grieves with you. And this isn’t that.

This is a reminder of love that protects, not manipulates. Leadership that serves, not dominates. This is about Jesus — the One who laid down His life to cover and call us home.

🌼 Heart Moment: The Yellow Birdhouse: Where Love Saw Me and Surrender Set Me Free

I still remember the day my dad built me that yellow birdhouse. He didn’t have the right tools. He was tired. But I had a school project due, and he showed up with a handsaw, scrap wood, and a heart that saw me.

He let me pick the color — yellow. Bright and cheerful, just how I wanted the world to see it.

He gave me his presence, his protection, and his belief in me. Years later, married and grown, I still remember how he’d gently make peace, not by having all the answers, but by leaning into love.

My dad never shined at someone else’s expense. He gave what he had — not always what I wanted, but what I needed. He gave me the gift of enough.

And that’s a glimpse of the Father’s love.

He sees.

He covers.

He provides — not always the dream car, but the little yellow birdhouse kind of grace that holds.

That’s the love that taught me how to surrender — not out of fear, but because I was known.

Years later, I prayed, “Lord, I believe… help my unbelief.” And He did. He showed me that surrender isn’t losing. It’s the beginning of real life.

✨ My story is simple:

  • A daughter loved well by her earthly father

  • A child known deeply by her Heavenly Father

  • A surrendered heart, learning to walk in love

And if you’ve never known that kind of love — or if surrender still feels like giving up — friend, I want to tell you:

There is a Father who sees you. Who answers the unspoken questions. Who walks with you until you’re ready.

And if you’re not ready yet? It starts with this whisper: “Jesus, I want to know You.”

When you say that, Heaven leans in.

This is more than healing — it’s wholeness. It’s not about roles or silence. It’s about coming home.

And when you seek Him — really seek Him — you’ll find what your heart has been aching for all along.

🕊️ Devotion Reflection:

There’s a beauty in God’s order — not restriction, but rhythm. A divine flow that brings peace, protection, and power when we walk in it.

In Ephesians 5:23, we read that the husband is the head of the wife, just as Christ is the head of the church. And in 1 Corinthians 11:3, Paul says the head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.

This is not about worth — it’s about divine design. Even Jesus submitted to the Father, not out of inequality, but out of honor.

God pours out His Spirit on sons and daughters alike (Acts 2:17). Deborah, Priscilla, Phoebe, the Samaritan woman — all examples of women used powerfully by God. Yet always within God’s covering.

Paul’s instruction in 1 Timothy 2:12 isn’t a limitation — it’s a guardrail. The pastoral office carries weight, and God in His wisdom placed specific boundaries. But this doesn’t silence a woman’s voice — it positions her in power, on God’s terms.

When you walk in God’s order, you’re not second — you’re chosen.

🙏 Prayer:

Lord, help me honor the way You designed things — not with pride or resistance, but with peace and trust. Teach me to walk in my calling and rest in Your covering. Use me boldly, but keep me yielded. Let my life point others to Jesus — whether I’m speaking, serving, or simply surrendering.

Amen.

My newest teaching video is now live on YouTube.

It’s raw, it’s real — and it’s prayerfully meant for someone God has on His heart today.

As I shared this new teaching, I was reminded of something the Lord has shown me over time: faith grows, but it remains the same faith.

The Freedoms in Christ: How Jesus Sets the Soul Free series reflects my current season of teaching — but along the way, the Lord gently led me to include two earlier videos created before this website ever existed.

One was recorded in 2015–2016, when I was first stepping out in faith, simply obeying and learning to trust God, day by day.

The other was shared a few years ago, during a season when the Lord was healing me and freeing me from pain that tried to turn loneliness into bondage.

Looking back, I see now: they were never separate stories — they were part of the same journey of faith, growth, and freedom in Christ.

Just like the parable Jesus shared:

“Or what woman, having ten silver coins, if she loses one coin, does not light a lamp and sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it?”
— Luke 15:8

Nothing God works through is ever lost — sometimes it’s simply waiting for the right time to be seen again.

Maybe you feel that way too: overlooked, out of season, or unsure where you belong.

But hear this:
You are not lost to God.
And if you seek Him, you will find Him.
