Before We Begin
Sometimes God teaches us through moments we didn’t plan…
A memory, a dream, or something simple that suddenly carries deeper meaning.
This was one of those moments for me.

Sometimes we don’t realize we’re already being led…
until we try to take control.
What if peace isn’t found in figuring everything out—
but in recognizing we’re already moving with Him?
Walking with Jesus changes everything.
In this journey called life, our faith holds both the challenge and the opportunity
to learn to walk with him...
and to come to know the mind of Christ

The Dream I Never Forgot
Love this so much—horses and relationships.
It made me remember a dream I had years ago…
I was riding a horse bareback, barefoot—
holding on and looking into his eyes.
It was thrilling… until I realized, what am I doing?
How will I get off?
Then I thought, I know—I’ll jump off to the right and just roll.
That will work.
But just as I thought that… the horse turned to the right.
So my plan didn’t work.
Then I thought about him slowing down so I could get off—
and he did.
And I remember thinking, wow… if only I had realized we were in the same mind,
I would have enjoyed the ride so much longer.

Sometimes the direction we need isn’t something we figure out…
it’s something we learn to trust.
The more we try to control the path,
the more we miss the peace of being led.
But when we begin to surrender—
to trust Him beyond our own understanding—
we start to see what was there all along.
Walking with Jesus isn’t about having it all figured out…
it’s about learning to follow Him in trust.
What God Showed Me
Since then, I’ve realized something simple—
but powerful:
Riding horses is learning how to communicate…
and overcoming the fear of falling.
And that’s exactly what it’s like walking with the Lord.
So often, we are:
trying to figure things out ahead of Him
making our own plans
reacting out of fear instead of trust
But all along…He is already moving.
Already leading.
Already responding.
The Mind of Christ
The Bible says we have the mind of Christ
(1 Corinthians 2:16).
That doesn’t mean we always understand everything.
It means we are being taught—
how to listen,
how to trust,
and how to move with Him.
Not ahead of Him.
Not against Him.
But with Him.

He will lead the way.
Not because we understand everything…
but because we are being taught to walk with Him.
As we learn to listen,
to trust,
and to follow—
we begin to see what He is doing…
and move with Him in peace.
The Invitation
What if the peace we’re looking for…
is found in realizing we’re not alone in the process?
What if God is already responding—
and we’re just learning how to recognize it?
What if, instead of trying to control the outcome,
we learned to enjoy the journey?
A Simple Reflection
Maybe today, the question isn’t:
“How do I figure this out?”
Maybe it’s:
“Lord… help me walk with You in this.”
Prayer
Lord,
Teach me to trust You more than my own understanding.
Help me to stop running ahead—and start walking with You.
Open my heart to recognize Your leading,
and give me peace in the journey.
Thank You that You are already there…
already moving…
and inviting me to move with You.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

Not leaning on our own understanding
means we don’t have to figure it all out.
As we acknowledge Him—
in the decisions, the unknowns, the daily steps—
He faithfully leads.
Walking with Jesus isn’t about control…
it’s about trust.
Heart Moment
There was nothing wrong with the ride.
The only thing missing…
was the awareness that we were already moving together.
I thank the Lord for that dream,
and for the chance to share it with you today.
If this has encouraged you in any way,
I would love to hear from you.
With love in Christ,
Karen
