Believe Also in Me
A quiet place to trust again.
Scripture:
“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.”
— John 14:1 (KJV)
Reflection
Jesus spoke these words on the night His disciples were shaken with fear.
He was leaving them, and their hearts were unsettled.
Into their trouble, He spoke peace:
“Let not your heart be troubled.”
He didn’t promise a life without hardship,
but He promised a heart guarded by trust.
They already believed in God the Father.
Now He invited them to place the same trust in Him:
“Believe also in me.”
This is the foundation of peace—
not the absence of storms,
but the presence of Christ.
Trusting Him means handing over the weight of what we can’t control.
It means choosing to rest
in His love,
His power,
and His promise that He is with us.
When fear tries to overwhelm,
Jesus whispers, “Believe in Me.”
Prayer
Lord Jesus,
Thank You for knowing my heart so well.
You see my fears before I even speak them.
Calm my troubled heart today.
Help me to believe in You with the same trust I give to the Father.
Let my faith rest in who You are, not in what I see.
Amen.
