JOY is God's emotion HE gives us!
JOY is the Evidence of being in A Position with GOD!
By Karen Rowe 2015

What are some things that bring you joy?

Friend, let us consider that there are different kinds of joy!

There is a temporary joy that we can experience when everything is going well!

And, this is good.  However, it is the lasting Joy that I want to discuss today!

Obviously, I am discussing the Christian Joy when I proclaim that There is a lasting Christian Joy that we can find, even in the face of challenges to our faith!

A joy that we can find when troubles come our way!

Will you join me in this study?

Through this series on JOY, The Holy Spirit has taught me that we can learn that the purpose in JOY is that God values People!

If we are honest with God, sometimes, we can have a problem with people?

Do people ever disappoint you?

Do people ever bring you frustration, agitation, anger, confusion, fear, or make you sad?

What if I said to you that we expect too much sometimes from people?

People are flawed!  The Bible teaches us to be Patient and Kind –not proud or rude.  Why?  So, we can remain Joyful always!!!

Jesus asks us to pray for those who have a lack of knowledge to know to do better!  But Satan is right there waiting to steal, kill and destroy your JOY –If you offer your JOY to the enemy of God; and give your strength away.

God values people!

God values you!

God loves you!  You are the treasure Jesus come to the world to purchase with God’s blood and bring you the Spirit of Joy!

God wants you to experience JOY –the Joy in Jesus that is possible to find in and through all things!

I ask you to come along with me on this journey as we tackle and talk about some TUFF and difficult things that come to us in this life and on this earth, with a purpose to STEAL, KILL and DeSTROY our JOY in order to get us to move out of our rightful position with God in Christ, and react in our human emotions.

Will you take some time with me?

I would be so happy if you would join me in this powerful series, which is open for learning all about JOY!

I invite you to comment and participate.  You have value in this series to share!  you are welcome and urged to share your questions, comments and your gifts of knowledge with us, so we can all learn together more and more about what JOY IS & the purpose of remaining Joyful always.

Joy is for our benefit and for the benefit of those around us!  The Bible says that people are perishing from a lack of knowledge –We have a choice to gather together and share our knowledge that God brings to us and learn HOW and WHY not to ever give our joy away!

Joy is the essence of the Spirit of God flowing from our heart that is made pure in Jesus the Christ, our Savior and Lord!

As we begin, I need to ask you a very important question.

Would you like to learn how to forgive?

Would you like to learn what Joy Is?

There is only one requirement God has made.  Do you know Jesus as your Savior and Lord?

Would you like to learn more about who Jesus is?  We will pray with you.

Dear Father God, (I) confess and admit that (I) am (was) a sinner in your eyes, but that you SO loved (me) that you sent (me) the gift of your Son, Jesus, to die for the penalty of ALL sin.  (I) thank you that (my) sin is forgiven simply by believing your Testimony about Jesus.

(I) am SO happy to proclaim the good news that Jesus rose again by the power of the Holy Spirit; and in Christ Jesus (I) also live in you through the gift of your Son!

I believe; and I thank you for this life that is full of JOY that Jesus has already made available to me!

Teach me, by the power of your Holy Spirit how to live in this life Jesus died and rose again to give to me.

In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.

I hope this Series is a Blessing to you!

The Train Whistle, Sounding the call of God’s Love

Part 1 I Hope you find JOY in your day!  By Karen Rowe May 2015

May I share with you?  Joy is an emotion!  Of coarse, I am addressing Christianity.  Joy is God's emotion that He gives to us!  This joy in Jesus is our evidence that we are in Christ in our mind, heart and body!  Joy is united with God in Spirit as we surrender our human emotions for God's!  Joy is God's emotion!

There are different types of joy.  There is a temporary joy -when everything is pleasing and good.  This is called 'fleshly' joy.

The joy that we want to discuss today is the joy that lasts through any situation!

From this point of view, what is the meaning of emotions?

Emotions are an affection, feelings, reactional.

Before I go any further, let us take time to pray.

Let us deal with emotions as we learn in Genesis 1:1-31 that emotions are a part of God.  And by us being a part of God, we are not HIM and we are not Jesus Christ, but we are OF HIM!

We are a part of God with HIS emotions, and the emotions he gives us.

Think about how you feel when things go well.  What is your emotion?  Joy is that feeling we feel when things go really well!

However, do you keep that same emotion when problems creep up on you?  Do your emotions change in the face of troubles?  If so, I am a little concerned that it is NOT God's emotions that have come in.

There is a difference between the world's joy and God's JOY.  The world's joy can leave you feeling disappointed when things go differently than you hoped or planned.  However, the good news is that you CAN and are able to keep praising God that HE is going to deliver you out of all your troubles!  This is where true JOY is found!  True joy is found in praising God believing God has a plan; and God is ABLE!

Do you get joyful when your enemy is in trouble?  Do you get joy out of watching people who have done you wrong get what you think they might deserve?  Do you feel good watching your enemy suffer; or do you begin praying?  This is your testing time.

Do your emotions smack or pray for ...?

As we begin, think about what joy is ... And,

Be kind, but effective; Be nice, but discipline; Feel pain, but show love!

We are going through adjustments in this life!  We need JESUS when things go not as we plan! The power of God's Love -brings us near to God in HIS emotion of JOY!  Joy is our strength to overcome all things through Christ who gives us strength!  Jesus will help us to adapt to any situation with the JOY from God in Heaven living full in our hearts!

So, we said all this to get to the topic of JOY and now you may better understand what I mean when I say:  I Hope you Find Joy in your Day!

Greetings to your day with grace and peace that is only found in our Savior and Lord Christ Jesus.

May I greet you by simply saying that “I hope you find joy in your day?” The joy of the Lord is our strength. Joy is characteristic of “Fruit of the Spirit”. God is the Source of the Fruit –the nature of God dwelling actively in our soul. "Fruit of the Spirit" is a biblical term that sums up the nine visible attributes of a true Christian life.

Using both the English Standard Version & the King James Version of Galatians 5:22-23, these attributes are:

love, joy, peace, patience (Longsuffering KJV), kindness (Gentleness KJV), goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness (Meekness KJV), self-control (temperance KJV).

As tasty fruit comes from being in the position on a branch that is attached and dependent on the fruit-bearing Tree, Joy is found this way by being in position God, whom IS the Source of Joy and makes all The Fruit possible.

Unconditionally, in all things (I always think of Daniel in the Lion’s Den; or the Three Hebrew boys that were thrown into the fiery furnace –a great challenge to their faith), YET they maintained their position with God). Then, I also think of the purpose –for others to believe in the true and living God; and even see the Son of God in Spirit, who showed up in the mist of their challenge helping them out!

God just gives us just one command, which is to abide in LOVE, which is the description of HOW to abide in God!

Think about what LOVE IS! God IS LOVE (1 John 4:16) and LOVE IS defined in JESUS (John 3:16-17) and the WORD (John 1:1 & 1 Corinthians 13:4-8)!

Jesus demonstrated the love God has for us –Now, we must demonstrate the love God has for others. Are you struggling with a situation or circumstance? Jesus is your help and your shield! Find your gift of JOY and God will get you through in a reflective way where the Grace of God will be experienced, as JOY is a part of Fruit of God whom lives in you!

Joy is a miracle that happens! Joy is a supernatural strength to say and do the right things that are according to God’s will –HIS Good and Pleasing Will that is for you and me and the way we reflect God’s value of people!

Do you think you can’t possibly go through something, much less find JOY in your situation? Surrender it all to God and find out that it is not a problem for God –God is glad to be your help and your shield & the Joy of the LORD will by your strength and assurance that of “you in God and God in you”!

We can experience Heavenly Joy unconditional of the situation, because JOY is in position with the Living Creator and Sustainer Almighty Father God!

I am so excited to learn and teach on JOY, because the Spirit is revealing so much to me in my time listening to HIM! There are many branches on the tree –We (not only I) are the branches Created to enjoy and reflect (bare The Fruit of) The Nature of God on Earth as it is in Heaven –TOGETHER, by encouraging each other daily and gathering together often (never tiring of gathering together!

English Standard Version

I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is …; against such things there is no law.

Ask, Seek, Knock

7"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8"For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

Matthew 7:7-8

Prayerfully, I come to you as with a message from the Lord. Father, I pray that I write your words not mine. Thank you Father for your revelation knowledge that comes according to your living and written word that is always in perfect agreement! Thank you for the evidence of Truth revealed by Your Spirit, whom is of you –Holy and True. I pray that you bring understanding to us that we can apply your Word to our life to please you and experience Joy with an understanding that what is impossible for man –all things are possible with You Father God. Father, help us see the purpose in our ability to experience Joy. In Jesus Name, I pray and now I commit this work to you Father. For your Glory to be seen. Love in Christ, Amen.

1 John 4:16 (AMP) | In Context | Whole Chapter

16 And we know (understand, recognize, are conscious of, by observation and by experience) and believe (adhere to and put faith in and rely on) the love God cherishes for us. God is love, and he who dwells and continues in love dwells and continues in God, and God dwells and continues in him.

I hope this Series is a Blessing to you!

The Train Whistle, Sounding the call of God’s Love

Part 2: JOY is a Miracle of GOD'S LOVE!  May 2015 by Karen Rowe

Will you consider that Joy is an emotion and position?

Joy is God’s Emotion that HE gives and when we experience the strength in Christ free us in our human emotions; and, with JOY, we can be assured that we are in position with God.

I ask you to consider that Joy is not natural emotion or ability, but rather a supernatural enabling experience with God.

Joy is a freedom in the heart –our heart filled with the love of Christ. Joy is a freedom that enables us to do all things that pleases God by the power of the Holy Spirit. Joy is our strength to do all things that are right in God’s eyes. Joy is our enablement by God to do the right thing.  It is God's emotion, JOY, that enables us to overcome our “selfish ambition” human nature emotions that tend to want to resist God’s will and justify why, with natural emotions.

We can think we are right, but if the joy of the Lord is replaced –then it is time right then to go to the Lord and examine WWJD?

So, this being said, we need to know the Character of God –“What would Jesus do” is our knowledge to know down deep.

Sometimes in this world, one Scripture can be misused.

Perhaps in these times, it is also good to evaluation our hearts with “What would God NOT ask us to do?”

Praying, confessing and seeking God’s evaluation of our heart is the way to knowing God’s Truth, His way, and His Life, which is the true nature of God that is taught to us by Jesus, God’s Holy Son! Knowing God’s Word is such a power tool to find our joy; and is invaluable to knowing God’s will and knowing WWJD!

Joy is found in our right position with God …

The fullness of Peace and JOY is found in abiding in Christ.

Joy is a strong evident position with God that enables us to overcome our human nature “justified emotions” to DO the will of God for the good of others based on this following Scripture:

1 John 4:15-17

Love Comes from God

…15Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. 16We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. 17By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world.…

We don’t have to figure all things out to find joy –that is what Trust in God is all about.

The Bible says above all things you get, get understanding. But there is a difference in figuring out and understanding that God is working out HIS plan of Salvation for all to believe and sometimes we have to endure by the strength of Joy that is exactly what JOY is –more than an emotion, but directly affects our emotions where true happiness in the Lord can be found.

My personal motto is: “I don’t have it all figured out; BUT God does … Follow JESUS!”

God gave me a revelation one day that I don't have to have it all figured out, when frustration was coming at me about things I didn't understand.  These words freed me to walk into my JOY with JESUS!

God has equipped us with everything we need.

God does all the good work –all we do is plant some seeds and water some plants growing in the love that God has already accomplished and provided. Our burdens should only be to do the will of God where joy is found in our trust in HIM. Use your faith to overcome your doubt and experience the JOY in the LORD.

WWJD –in your situation, challenge, circumstance or dilemma? The will of God is the answer. Study the Bible and learn what would Jesus do? Just as important –Study the Bible and learn what Jesus would NOT do.

Joy overpowers pride, selfish ambition and envy. Joy enables us to overcome all things that the Bible warns us to avoid. Joy enables us with a strength from God, which over powers fear and frustration. Joy is our strength to get through all kinds of trials and tribulations, by the Grace of God.

Do you feel like you don’t want God’s help to change your mind?

Read this Scripture and find your JOY:

Two Kinds of Wisdom

13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. 14 But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. 15 Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. 16 For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice. 17 But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. 18 Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.

James 3:13-18New International Version (NIV)

There is no joy separated from God, but in Christ, Joy can be found on earth as it is in Heaven! Joy is a divine power of strength that we in Christ are equipped with when we place our faith, hope and trust in God and also in Jesus.

We can trust God and follow Jesus with our every decision over our human minds any OL day; and this is where our blessings are waiting to be found!

Will you evaluate your decisions before you say “yes or no” with prayer and God’s Word? We have a God given right because of Jesus to ask God for HIS Wisdom in our decisions –and seek HIS JOY in our heart when we first believe.

The wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.

I highlighted the tough ones for us emotionally strong humans! Pure means, God’s Wisdom doesn’t leave us double-minded about wanting GOD’S HELP to change our mind.

In death, there is no joy –death is separation from God. Yet, it is NOT God’s desire for us to be separated from HIM. In fact, for God SO loved the world, that He gave His only Begotten Son to die in our place, so that we may choose to Live in Christ Jesus!

Can you see yourself as God sees you? God can change your influence!!!

16 For God so loved (YOU) the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn (YOU) the world, but to save (YOU) the world through him.

John 3:16-17New International Version (NIV)

Joy is the evidence and our ability to demonstrate what God enabled us to believe!

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God; (Ephesians 2:8).”

Joy is the essence of Life … the essence of Heaven with God that comes from Heaven and resides in our heart; and overflows from within. Joy is more than we can humanly contain, because Joy is in position with our Almighty Father God. Joy is a spiritual experience even today on earth as it is in Heaven and can be found! Joy is in this life with God that Jesus died and rose again to bring to us. Joy is where we are growing up, learning; and enabled to be when we are in the full position with God as when we are transcended to Heaven.

Joy is the evidence of things not seen and the evidence of more than what we see. Joy is the evidence of God working out HIS plan for all to believe!

Can you see yourself as God sees you? Jesus will change your influence with JOY!

Have you ever experienced this supernatural joy in Christ overtake your human nature’s “emotional” ability to face a tragic event?

Joy enables us to do the right thing, but Joy also enables us to feel the right thing. Sometimes, in the face of real things, we can feel like we are in a place of no control, fear, despair, confusion, frustration, helpless, but there is a challenge to our faith and the reward is JOY.

Joy is Not a happy about what is happening, but rather a power of trust in God that goes beyond the human capabilities to experience where our good and faithful God is taking us all: to a place of sheer divine joy!

Joy is strength and a position that the Holy Spirit enables us to experience Heaven on earth as it is in Heaven. Joy is a miracle! Joy is the fullness of the Lord living in us. Joy comes from the source of Joy, which is from God.

When my dad passed on (transcended) to Heaven, God did this for me after I prayed to experience Heaven –I just needed a peek of where my dad was going! And, this was essentially my actual prayer. God answered my prayer with JOY! I didn’t get to peak into heaven as through a window like I thought! Instead, I was enabled by JOY to experience the other side, where my dad had gone! By the power of the Holy Spirit, and by the grace of God alone, I was filled with so much joy that I could sense JOY from the inside of the deepest place that I exist to radiating from within to at least a 2 foot radius encircling my entire being that come from within my soul and spirit of me that is housed in my body to touch others with this joy in all I was blessed to meet with that day.

This was on the day (that was of the same day) that I had many times before said, “‘IF’ anything ever happens to my parents, I can’t handle it.” I meant that! This was the truth. YET, God changed my perspective!

Honestly, I am not that strong. Truthfully, I still couldn’t handle it –even to this day if I only walked in my human nature!

How about you? Can you see yourself the way God sees you?

You have this very same ability in Christ available.

Will you talk to God and allow God to teach you to trust in Him?

Are you willing to learn from Jesus?

You can’t experience JOY any more than I could alone, but I am saying God is willing to do the same for you as HE does for me.

Not by own doing, It was the Holy Spirit whom enabled(s) me to walk in a new nature –a spiritual nature trusting God and positioned in Joy. I didn’t do this, but God did! It is Jesus whom brings me to a new position with every challenge I am faced with every day unconditionally. Joy is found in trusting God!

I experienced this JOY in a powerful way the day they buried my dad’s body. My dad didn’t die; my dad went on to live in a place where there is no more sickness, pain, guilt, frustration, etc., …to a place of joy with Jesus.

I knew my dad was not in a box; and I knew God has plans I can’t completely figure out. God has given me all the understanding that I need and I trust God with what I don’t have figured out. God has given us faith to use –and like JOY; faith is positioned in the power of God. I know God plans good and great things for us all!

The day I got the testimony about the “4-Leaf Clover, written in The Train Whistle,” was the day that God taught me to trust in HIS will. And, all these years later, for two days, I experienced the JOY of where my dad was –and it was a miracle on earth as it is in Heaven! I experienced this JOY! In my human nature, I couldn’t face in my own abilities, but God took me to a spiritual position of Joy!

If you don’t know Jesus as your gift of Life?

Jesus brings to us God's LIFE of Peace and of Joy, all you have to do is tell God that you believe.

Admit to God you are a sinner. Confess Jesus as your Savior and Lord and place your trust in Him. Joy will fill your heart –and you will experience the nearness of God fill your soul! I pray this with you and for you in Jesus’ Name! This is LIFE!

In LIFE, there is no death –our job is to trust God and seek God’s will for us to abide in HIM. When we seek God’s will –sincerely wanting to please God by our faith, JOY is the experience (blessing) that no money can buy. Nothing in this life is more valuable to us than the joy that is found in pleasing God.

Have you ever had your mind made up –and experienced God change your mind? There is a joy that comes to us to help us and to shield us … at a time when frustration comes to us to harm us. This joy transcends all human understanding, but joy can be experienced when we seek to know God’s will willing to change our mind to do God’s …This joy will come at that time and will enable us to do God’s will.

All we have to do is be willing to drop our pride! OR drop our sorrow –which by means the Lord is showing me is to drop the guilt that comes when JOY appears. A joy that comes from trusting God.

I am not saying not to mourn … I am saying that Jesus is our help and shield.

Why is Joy so important for us to know and understand? Because Joy is being in the right position with God; and God values people! Joy is found in following Jesus God’s Way. Jesus is our strength to do God’s will! God is the source of joy; and a joyful heart is the fruit (position) we have growing inside of our spirit being that enables us to do God’s will –not by our own justified / emotional will. Joy is a reward (position) and a tool (position) that enables us to do God’s will. Isn’t that the purpose of Joy? –to demonstrate God’s love that we 1st believe; and a love that is for all who will believe.

Why do we need JOY (spiritual strength) to experience the fullness of God?

God gave me a revelation to answer this question, which is quite simple: Because God values people!

God values people!!!

God is bringing us in the position of being in the relationship He desires to have with us; and He is teaching us the same great love that He has established in us.

God doesn’t want a house full of squabbling kids –God’s desire is for us to know and experience His presence (Joy) with Him.

Relationships begin -1st in our personal relationship with God. Then, we can enjoy relationships with each other in the unity of His presence (love, peace and JOY). In our human nature, it is almost impossible to get along with everyone God loves. Let’s face it, God is being patient with us all. I am talking about you –I am talking about me. God is being patient with me! Yet, Joy enables unity, because God is the source of Joy!

God is love and His joy is our strength to love others as He has first loved us. God has never made our value about anything other than who we are to Him, except that we need to be made new in Christ –a value in Christ who come because God SO loved the world!

As I know God is patient with me, how can we act toward others as if God’s values has changed?

The Lord has taught me well that it is always the value of people over the value of things!

The answer is Charity / LOVE:

Charity suffereth long, (is patient) and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8King James Version (KJV)

There are challenges that come to us in this world –when something goes wrong in our mind should not be …YET, our perspective in this trial is either a challenge to our faith to grow in Christ, or a trouble that comes to steal our joy. We can choose to find our joy in Christ.

Bad things happen to good people, but God will bring us through as we stay in our positon of JOY, which is trust in God and also in following Jesus.

People bust our trust and do us wrong –we can pray for those who take advantage of us as Jesus prayed; “Father, forgive them, they know not what they do;” and remain JOYFUL ALWAYS!

In our joy, we can also pray for our JUST God to move against the terrors in this world and bring Wisdom to our leaders to know God’s Will to deliver us from evil…

Christians are not cowards and humility is strength under control. Knowledge of JOY is a goal to reach and a position to strive for.

There is a difference between evil and ignorance.

God corrected me years ago as I prayed for something to change so that I could have my joy back: God corrected me and said with HIS Authority, “NO, YOU WILL REMAIN JOYFUL ALWAYS!” I share this today, because there is a power in being positioned to do the right thing that pleases God, content with the JOY of Jesus, whom enables us to enjoy the air we breath. Joy takes away the thoughts of self-consumption. Jesus frees us to live in the freedom of Life with God!

Because of this great JOY, I changed my attitude immediately! God positioned me to JOY; and in pleasing HIM, I was joyful to continue in a place of sacrifice that in the JOY of JESUS, I found contentment and purpose –and that was the day things changed!

When I finally changed my heart to enjoy what my mind viewed being taken advantage of, God changed the situation. God is always watching our back, and HE is changing our view and our heart to … LIFE IS ALL ABOUT LOVE / All about God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, the Word of God … Changed perspective / trusting and loving God MORE is all we need to get to a place to enjoy JOY.

Have you ever thought about this? That, Challenges come to us for our benefit. It is not so much about what is right or wrong, but that there is a higher purpose. Challenges that come to us are more about our heart issues and growing in our trusting love for God and also for Jesus to keep our heart sacrificial for the love Jesus died to demonstrate. Things changed after I changed my heart and positioned my heart with God in JOY!

Experiencing the JOY of the LORD is a position / place in our heart of contentment that has the power to do all things in Christ and with God all things are possible!

Things go wrong (that directly affect us) from people in their negligence (things that should not happen), but that do happen against us … and cause us harm, but I am asking you today, are you able to still count your blessings? Can you find your joy? Recently, we experienced this challenge.

In my heart and from my experience, I ask you to consider that we have a choice to remain grateful and count our blessings. We have a choice to know God’s way, seek God’s way, obey God’s way –and not allow the temptation of money (the human way of making a wrong right) to steal our praises from God, whom is our provider and healer.

I am not telling you what to do if you are facing such a challenge –nor am I condemning you nor freeing you –I am simply sharing testimonies of our personal experiences by Grace. It is God who heals all things and provides for all things! I used an exclamation point, because I believe strongly that there is a strong vise in this world that is directed purposely by the enemy to get us to drop our joy and grateful trust in God to follow the enemies’ way.

This is all the Lord nudged my heart to say at this time, so I will leave this for you to pray about between you and God. I trust God will always direct our paths and make them straight, when are willing to ask God for HIS thoughts about our situations and decisions.

These are hard and delicate (if not impossible) things to talk about and overcome by human nature alone. Yet, the Lord is nudging me to talk about these things, because God does help us. God is willing to enable you and me to overcome all things with HIM in His Joy and by His grace. We can/will/might is in our choice of trust to experience the power of Jesus (of abiding in God’s Love).

Will you choose to grow in your love and trust in God; and also in Jesus?

Growing in God’s Truth, God’s Way and God’s Life is growing Christ where the presence of God is truly found. God is not a source to believe in; God is our Father to have a relationship with. God is worthy of all respect, as we love and respect our most treasured and good fathers here on earth.

Experiencing Joy (the fullness of God’s Love where all is right in our very being) will set us free from all things (selfish ambition, pride, hurt feelings) to rise up to pleasing God (to remain in Jesus).

There are different types of situations that arise day to day. What are some things you struggle overcoming? Have you identified your buttons that you have made known to Satan? I sometimes have to pray for God to take away certain buttons that I identify in my life as this: Buttons that Satan knows are easy buttons to push with my personal emotions, things I feel strong about and my personality; that most times there are sparked emotions already primed and ready to ignite.

Will you stay with me a little while longer?

I know this seems long and repetitive, and in some ways it is –BUT aren’t these also the ways of Satan. He is sneaky. He uses the same bag of tricks on us, but he is crafty! Later, we will talk more about the armor of God, but for now, Satan only can get us on our back side! We have to encourage one another daily and keep walking forward and upward with our eyes focused on Christ! I hope to help you to identify your mental blocks that Satan will use against you that you may be set free in Christ to experience joy!

Come and Let God Help You!

Let’s talk about the hard things that people like to avoid, and view as admitting weakness –but that God views as Truth!

If we don’t admit to God that we have a problem, concern, or an issue, then how can we pray for God to help us?

James 5:16King James Version (KJV)

16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

1 John 1:9King James Version (KJV)

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Romans 10:9-10King James Version (KJV)

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

I have learned and am willing to help you learn as the Lord enables me to share with you that these hard and difficult things (The Bible refers to as trials and tribulations) that come to us; and seem to even be slung at us at times. However, these are the very things that we are meant to and enabled in Christ to overcome, by God’s perfect plan that we will not even fully understand until the day we make it to Heaven to be with the Lord –our final designation!

We ARE to overcome all things in Christ; and, also, enabled by Grace and Power in the Holy Spirit in God’s great JOY to overcome our mind-made up to trust God instead of being down-pressed! These things can be small everyday challenges to our faith –like finding patience in a traffic zoo with ignorance, selfish ambition, pride and rudeness being the courtyard on the highway. This would be a time of prayer to surrender our thoughts to God’s will –and find our JOY to drive from our heart surrendered to God’s way. We can pray for others when we see ignorance displayed –I sure hope you are praying for me when I and learning in my weak areas!

We can pray and seek God’s mind and find our joy to serve Jesus well and then we are enabled to surrender it all to God. We can surrender our human ability for God’s! We can surrender our thoughts for God’s way instead. We can surrender our opinions and seek God’s Wisdom! We can surrender our triggered emotions and seek God’s JOY in JESUS, which is our strength to do the right thing and what is best for our soul and for the benefit of all those around us that they may see Christ in at least you out there in this zoo Today.

Today is the day that we need to pray for God’s help! We can pray for God’s help and learn the blessings of trusting God. Surrendering our mind to God’s Will exemplifies that we are depending on God’s help; and this is our way to find God’s Joy sent to us in JESUS alive in you by His grace.

This world is not our final designation! God’s plan is to rescue us to a Place of JOY.

Hell is a real place –today we can see and feel a glimpse of what life separated from God can be like, but one day for those who reject God’s Plan and Way in Christ Jesus, there is a real place of confinement called Hell. A place as real as Heaven but opposite of God. A place that is not a figment of our imagination that we can escape or allow our mind to drift off to a place of hope, because in the end of this marathon on this earth Hope will have come, manifested. If we chose to reject God’s plan of Salvation and Rescue, the at that time, what rescue will there be?

However, Today, there is HOPE in JESUS! We can find our joy in the Lord! We can find our JOY on earth as it is in Heaven! Heaven is a real Place that we don’t just imagine or just some spiritual place of peace we float off to in our mind. Heaven is a real place that exists. The rest we are told about in the Bible is not a place of bordem for the rest we think of today. The rest in Heaven with the Lord is from all this spiritual warfare we fight day to day and minute to minute here on earth. It is a rest from all the turmoil on this earth since Adam and Eve chose to have knowledge of good and also invited the knowledge of evil into this world!

We can find joy on the earth and find joy in all things. There is HOPE! On this earth, it takes FAITH to find our JOY. Faith is not easy; but faith is Possible; and the reward of faith is Peace, Joy and blessings in abundance!

I have learned the power in the words that I say. I am still learning each and every day to choose better words, but I have not arrived to perfection yet –I like us all in Christ am made perfect in Christ Alone –and I am being made Holy! So I have not arrived yet, but I present to you a new perspective of words that helps me overcome and find my joy to overcome my fears and frustration. Can you think of a word to use instead of troubles? How about challenge to your faith?

For example, how we perceive our situation whether, medically, financially –or trouble that we may have to go through on this earth, our words reflect our trust in God and in His love for us. Do we give power to the trouble and allow the trouble to trouble our heart? Or, we can choose to give our troubles to Jesus and find our Joy, just like the joy the three Hebrew boys had when they were thrown into the “fired up” firery furnace! They found the Son of God was in there with them!!! It is no different for us who follow Christ, except that now that our hope has been manifested in Christ Jesus! Jesus is our help and Shield!

Will you Come to Jesus and let God help you?

These hard things that have come to you don’t define who you are! Can you see yourself as God sees you? Jesus will change your influence! These hard things that come at us in this life are actually opportunities that will build our character and grow us up in our most holy faith! We can reverse the outcome of what come by Satan to steal, kill and destroy us, into a growing, praying and trusting relationship with God that comes Grace and through Jesus!

Jesus IS the Peace that God gives us!

Jesus is the Wisdom that God gives us!

Jesus is the Truth God gives us!

Jesus is the Way God gives us!

Jesus is the LIFE God gives us!

Jesus IS the WAY to JOY and the Truth about God that comes alive in us! God’s fullness of Joy is found in our tender relationship of abiding in LOVE with God. Joy (God’s Presence) GPS to seek God’s Wisdom and follow God’s advice enables us in all things to overcome our mind that can form our thoughts about our self and about others.

These are the very things that build us up “in our most holy faith (Jude 1:20). The reward is so great when we experience the power of God (LOVE) living and working through our life (1 John 4:16)!

The challenge to experience Joy –to become set free in Christ to experience the Joy of Jesus overpower emotions with the JOY in Christ with a purpose that we may treat people with “patience and kindness and forgiveness” comes when something affects us on a personal human nature felt level, but the higher level we need to set our goal at is JOY!

We have a new spiritual nature in Christ Jesus that we can overcome our emotional human nature –JOY is our evidence of our position with God.

20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

Jude 1:20-21

Joy is not to excuse wrong doings –rather joy is to rise above wrongs to reflect the true nature of a forgiving & just God, who is love. Joy is for our enablement to be set free and also for the benefit of those to see love demonstrated. Joy is evidence of God’s grace and glory!

Good people do bad things –perhaps on purpose; or by accident, but Jesus teaches us to pray for those who are astray from God; and / or lost in “ignorance”: “Father forgive them, they know not what they do (Luke 23:24).” Jesus knows and we can too that God values people and He gives us HIS Joy to exemplify the same!

God has never made our worth out to be about what we say, do, think or what is in our shopping cart –Or else, none of us would make it home to heaven. Our value and worth to God is who we are to Him and what Jesus did on that cross for all who have sinned and fell short of the glory of God. Our joy in Jesus [Relationship with God experienced] is relational to God’s power to overcome all things and to demonstrate the same love that God has for us to others to believe and receive love from God that we know and beleive –by God’s grace and in His great Joy!

Joy is found in abiding in Jesus, whom is God’s love that He has given us. Not to condemn, but to save.

16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him (1 John 4:16 King James Version (KJV).)

Have you ever thought that we need strength to grow into our new spiritual nature? Whether human or spiritual, growth is not without a struggle. The joy in the Lord is our strength to grow spiritually more like Jesus!

Joy signifies sought out discernment –not based on an emotional reaction, but rather the very spiritual strength and evidence that we are acting with God.

Why do we resist giving up our natural tendencies for new spiritual qualities?

Personally, I will admit that I resist at times because of my own self-centered, stubborn pride, envy if I am brave enough to admit I get jealous … Hey, the Bible spells it out, so I am guilty too, but Jesus enables me and equips me to overcome my human nature qualities that are in opposition with God’s character.

Before a confession, God can’t help us. If we deny or ignore or defend our human nature, then God can’t help us. If we tell God that we are okay on our own, then God will wait until we admit we need Jesus. As long as we prefer to defend our position that a lack of joy will obviously reveal is wrong in God’s eyes, then I will share that Satan will feed your emotions that will blind you to remembering how to fight and resist temptations.

Think about it and watch God move in your life with JOY in Jesus! The next time your lose your position in JOY –ask God what it is that you need to change. The Holy Spirit is your help and your shield. He will reveal to you what you need to see and the joy that comes to you with Wisdom from Heaven will be your strength to do the right thing!

Study James 3:13-18

Have you ever experienced God change your mind? Reflect on that time. In that situation, was there a greater plan involved that you can understand hindsight? God is always working things together for the good of those who love Him. I just try not to get in His way. Many times, it is a spiritual battle against our human nature to get to that spiritual place God is revealing to us that is so much better than where we want to stay.

Many times “remaining in peace as far as it depends on you” involves you making a sacrifice for someone who did you wrong –to please God. Remaining in Peace is remaining in Jesus and JOY is the fullness of God’s presence in you.

God can and will enable your emotional “mind made up” heart to change to line up with HIS will. Joy from Jesus comes and this is a freedom in Christ that feels light and beautiful like Heaven and it becomes supernaturally possible to simply do the right thing that moments before we were fighting against.

Joy resides in our pure heart’s intentions to please God in all that we do, say or think –yet Joy frees our mind first and joy brings our words to be praise worthy. Joy lives in a free heart motivated in the pleasing presence of God that is only found in Christ. Joy will positively influence and transplant emotions with the power of love that is described as FREEDOM. Joy is our strength –as emotions are strong that enable us to overcome our human nature and simply do the right thing because it pleases God.

Why? Because God values people!

Joy is also our strength to rise above fear, frustrations, pain, loss and suffering. Different than happy, Joy is a supernatural ability that Jesus had when he chose to go to the cross for you and me –and all sinners in this world. Joy is the focus on God that gives us power to overcome all things.

fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Hebrews 12:2New International Version (NIV)

Recently, the Lord gave me a new greeting. “I hope you find joy in your day.” It come to me that I needed a different greeting other than, “Have a great day!” Let’s face it, when we greet people in the hospital, we are not there to have a great day. People we meet in the hospital –or anywhere for that matter, are most likely going through something difficult. In the hospital we are more aware that a day there is usually a day that challenges our faith to trust God the most. In the hospital it is not always a time of happiness, but many times a time that challenges our faith to trust in God, and to pray rather than worry. “Have a great day!” is said both out of both habit and good intentions, but I realized that having a great day is not the goal in the day as we face some situations that we can bare only by the cross and the love of God that Jesus displayed. GRACE –God makes the impossible possible.

Sometimes a greeting of “I hope you survive in your Today” would be a more appropriate and real raw truth in some circumstances. Yet, saying to someone, “I hope you survive the day” comes with no power and has a negative spin downward. Yes, we have the fitting right to say that or think that sometimes, but it is in our joy that we survive and survive well –in fact overcome the day with an inner joy, which in turn makes the day both survivable and powerful.

Can you think of some situations that make you happy?

Can you think of some situations that make you sad and concerned?

The thing that is noticeable with our emotions, is that emotions will swing back and forth like on a pendulum of a clock. Situations and circumstances can directly our emotions and we will want to react accordingly. We can go from zero to 100 in warp 1.1 seconds –based on how something directly affects us.

Yet, JOY is consistent and readily available to us for power and strength and authority over how our situation and circumstances can affect us.

We are going to go through things! Yet, how we get through all things matters if we believe in Jesus.

Jesus is our position with God and Joy is found in the presence of God. Joy is found when we are pleasing God in our thoughts and with our words.

Joy belongs to us rightfully! So, why do we toss the opportunity for joy aside?

You can list your own answers, we have a complex human make up, and so I am certain there are many excuses we can list, but I have one answer to share with you if I may.

The thing in my life that rears up as a constant barrier to my joy is anger.

Sit back and ask God to show you some situations in your life where someone has done you wrong.

Now, I ask you, do you have joy?

If you don’t have joy, you are giving the devil a tool he can and will use against you.

It is likely that you already recognize the situation, but that brings us back to the original question:
“Why do we toss the opportunity for joy aside?”

The Lord recently showed me my answer! I forgot to fight! I forgot to fight for my joy! I forgot to fight for my position with God –where I know I am pleasing God and JOY is found in Jesus! I forgot how to fight.

Perhaps you already know these things too, but I had to be reminded! I knew what I needed to do, but I forgot how. Why? Well, I see it like this. How can we fight for joy when we are consumed with emotions?

Satan is all about stealing, killing and destroying –all he needs to succeed is a little cooperation from us.

Oh, you might think you would never cooperate with the enemy of God, but Satan is not that forthcoming –in fact, Satan is a liar and a thief (opposition to God). Jesus gave us gifts from God, which are ours and Satan wants to steal them. He would steal your life if he could and he will attempt to steal our JOY (our position that is found in the presence of God) any time he sees something good about to happen!

Through sickness, we have joy available.

Through situations or circumstances where people get under our skin and rub our emotions, we have joy available.

We have to fight for JOY in this world. We have to fight to forgive others when they do things that offend us. We have to put off selfish ambition and swallow our pride. We live in a world with people –isn’t that the biggest fight we have in our relationships with other people sometimes and in some situations?

HOW? There is only ONE WAY! Put on LOVE! WWJD? And just do it!

Love with patience and kindness! Forgive with the joy of Jesus bursting in your heart!

If Jesus is not bursting in your heart and you are struggling, the opportunity for joy is still waiting to be found by you. Ask, seek, knock –Pray and ask Jesus to help you. Confess your unrighteous heart to God –sometimes it helps to talk to someone who follows Jesus. Then, open God’s Word and allow the Holy Spirit to feed your soul the food of God!

Turn the channel on the TV from noise pollution to nutrition! Find your joy in the Word of God and this is where you experience that Jesus has won that battle for you! Just walk in your relationship with God with Jesus and experience the power and authority of Joy overpower the tug from the enemy on your mind, body and soul. Our God is greater!

The next time you experience fear or frustration, use your words to praise and worship God by saying the opposite of what the enemy wants you to dwell on! And experience the power of God change your mind and bring you joy –when you fight the enemy with your words that are pleasing to God!

I hope this is a blessing to you in your Today! I hope you find full Joy in your Today! If you need help changing your words, feel free to write me and I will help you! The Holy Spirit has taught me a way to confess real feelings that are living inside of me (many times right, but not righteous) –The Holy Spirit has taught me how to get them out of the inside of me, but in a way that the Holy Spirit changes my words in the form of a prayer! Experience JOY in Jesus! The fullness of God in living Spirit in you is your help and shield!

If you have never believed on Jesus as your Savior, this is a perfect and opportune time to confess to God that you are a sinner. God already knows –and HE loves you just as you are! Jesus come to save you; not condemn you! God loves you as you are, but He will not leave you that way. God will bring you to places of change that you be amazed why you waited so long and you will experience a joy that is stable and unchanging.

Joy is position with God. God is LIFE. God is LOVE. JOY is found in JESUS. Jesus saves!

Just ask Jesus to help you –Jesus is near and he hears your every prayer. God loves you and so do we. If we can be of any help to you, email us at

Love in Christ,
