Welcome to  Hope in Today Ministries!

As we grow and learn, it becomes time to remodel when we realize that we don't have to share every single detail as we learn.

So, I will add, please be patient as it s time to remodel this website.

I hope to encourage you and inspire you to read the Word of God.  You won't regret spending your time seeking God's knowledge and understanding to be the best you can be and the wonderful peace, joy, assurance and confidence that will fill your soul to overflow!

If you are empty feeling inside? Seek God and FILL up with His Spirit and Word of Truth!  You will be revived, refreshed and renewed; and if you get this from God, you will never be the same!

I hope this is a blessing to you.  A blessing is to SPEAK WELL, so I hope this is an encouragement to learn the Word of God, grow in God's Knowledge and learn to SPEAK WELL (TRUTH) to yourself, to those around you; and to your situations that come to you to test your faith ,and with the opportunity to grow in your faith, which is your trust in God...

We grow in our trust, by the experiences we have and based on our knowledge that the Truth never fails.

Love, ~Karen

I share as the Lord teaches and enables me to learn, grow, and write of my experiences.

I believe that our situations are not unique; we are!

So, I share my common writings based on personal experiences, that we all face at one time or another in this life; and in this broken world ... continually.

I hope you find inspiration and encouragement to Seek God and Read His Word to you. These are the things that I find helpful to me in this world, which is our gift from God.

We are imperfect and flawed people; and we are have the opportunity to grow and mature in our faith every day.

I believe we all go through times that we need spiritual encouragement from the Lord, and many times this hand up can come from a brother or sister in Christ.

Let's face it, there is an enemy in this world, but I truely believe he uses the same bag of tricks only different disquises.  We can idenitfy the deception and stand firm in the Lord against the wales of the enemy that come against the very place in our hearts where we are most vulnerable.  We are able and equipped and Jesus Christ gives us the courage and Peace and Joy too!

We have a Savior and His Name is Jesus!  He died for our sins, was buried for 3 days and rose again by the power of God.  Do you know and believe in your Savior yet?  Jesus loves you.  Will you pray and tell God how grateful you are?

I hope you find these posts helpful to you.  I hope to spend more time from this day forward right here with you and others who just want to grow in our faith together.

Love in Christ,

Recognize the lies of Satan; Believe God's Love for you! By, Karen Rowe August 31, 2015

Run to Jesus!  Rise up and Believe!  Recognize the lies of Satan; Believe God's Love for you!  You are not alone; you can ask God for help!

With a purpose to steal everything that Jesus died to give us, Satan will attempt to deceive you and me; if possible!

You and I can learn to hear from God to know the Truth! The Truth is Jesus!

Anything that does not agree with the Word of God is a lie from Satan! Know your enemy! Do not let your enemy do your thinking for you –Stop confessing what you are not! Recognize the Lies of Satan, Believe God’s love for you! Satan is your enemy –not the people God has put in your life to help you!

Proverbs 27:17New Living Translation (NLT)

17 As iron sharpens iron,

so a friend sharpens a friend.

Know what God’s Word says about you! God has SO loved you!!! Will you listen to hear His whisper and run to His arms expecting a Father’s Love that is for you –as a doggie will rise up every time when he or she hears a cheese wrapper? Think for a moment what makes that doggie excitedly and expectantly run to the kitchen knowing that cheese is for him! As someone who loves their furry family member –think how much more God has loved you! As someone who loves their doggie thinks of them and saves a treat –think of how much more God has loved you! We can train ourselves in the power of knowing God’s love for us by just loving God like a doggy loves a person; so can we learn that we love God because God has first loved us! We should run to God with open arms believing in His love for us –knowing his love is for us and his gift of a Father’s love is waiting!

Jesus wants to dine with us! Do we invite Jesus, or has Jesus already invited us? God’s love is here and Jesus has come! Isn’t it more that Jesus has extended the invitation to us and God has asked us to believe and come and partake in the family of God? “The Kingdom Come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven” …Jesus has come, because God has SO loved the world and was not willing that any should perish –and He gave us a choice to believe!

As far as me, I can answer that question for me. However, I believe this question must be understood that it is a personal invitation to you to answer when you first believe. I am here to encourage you to believe that God has SO loved you this much! Will you seek the truth about God’s Love, as a doggie expects the love that gives him or her cheese?

You are in spiritual warfare to believe God and trust in Him! Who is beating you down that you don’t know that God’s love is for you? Your reality becomes what you believe! If someone retrained my doggies, then they would quit expecting that cheese was for them, but I believe they would always remember that sound of the wrapper! Jesus enables us to know and believe in God’s love for us –Jesus has bridged that gap that was broken between us and God! Jesus has washed us clean by his blood!

Thank God that Jesus does not expect us to come to him perfectly clean –like sometimes we would like our family to come in our home with no grass clippings in the hems of their clothes, or dirt clods in the cleats of their shoes or sand that just seems almost impossible to get it all off. Yet, love overlooks what hinders love –until we teach them more! With time we learn more and more and by and by, but, can I offer you some encouragement today? God loves you as you are –and it is God who teaches our heart how to survive well in His home.

Can I offer you some encouragement today? Pick up your Bible and pray; open the pages and read out loud. Be attentive to the Word of God as your ‘bread of life’ as a doggie would be attentive to the sound of the cheese wrapper. Remember, that association is important! As a doggie has to learn what is inside the cheese wrapper by experience –so much more so do we need to learn what is waiting for us in the Word of God! Pray to hear your message from God and stop, seek and listen for the understanding that will come in revelation by the Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ in the Word of God!

Can I encourage you in one more thing? If you are new to reading the Bible; you have to read it with God to understand. That is part of the miracle in the Word of God! God knows the mysteries –and Jesus is the Way …

God is merciful to our unrighteousness –Don’t hunker down; Rise up and Believe in God’s Love for you! Be careful to purposely NOT be MORE willing to believe the lies of Satan; than the Truth of God that was demonstrated on the cross by Jesus for you and for me –and I will toss in there, for all who will believe!

You are meant to worship God in Spirit and in Truth! Our purpose is to be made in the image of Christ day by day as long as God calls it today. Our reality is God is Love and God has SO loved the world (the sinner) that He has gave His Son for us to have life with Him to choose to believe and to choose the blessings that await by God’s divine hand! Our reality becomes what we believe!

You and I are wonderfully made by God –And God loves you and me! We are not meant to disagree, but to look to the Son and believe that Jesus came for us!

We are able to come to God as we are, but we are meant to find Jesus and become who God is in us! Don’t look at your sin –look at what Jesus did! Believe God has taken care of everything!

Increase your true knowledge of God! God does not change –“The Grass withers and the flower falls, but the Word of God endures forever (Isaiah 40: 8 " )!   Everything that we believe that does not agree with the written Word of God is a lie! Jesus IS the Truth –anything contrary is a lie.

The obedience of the faith means that your sins have been dealt with by God and you see God’s love for you and believe to surrender to God’s love and His will for you! God wants us to believe that we are forgiven! Do you know the power of forgiveness? More than a chemical reaction –The Blood of Jesus has washed us pure as snow! Now, we work on the transformation, as a caterpillar is destined to be a butterfly; so are we in Christ destined to be like the Son! Be more focused on Jesus than your failures! Satan will want you to feel condemned, but Jesus will transform you!

“For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world (the sinner in need of Salvation); but that the world (you and me) through him might be saved (John 3:17).”

Anything contrary to the Word of God is a mountain to overcome and a lie the Truth defeats! You can believe what God’s Word says is true! Jesus come to bring life and life abundantly!

John 10:10English Standard Version (ESV)

10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.

Jesus came so that you can have life and life to the full! You are not meant to just take up space –You are meant to believe God and tell your story in worship, in Spirit and Truth!

The opposite of Holy Spirit is unholy spirit –which spirit will your mind choose to believe, follow and obey? Remember that you are a spirit with a mind and a body –you have a soul. Which spirit do you spend time seeking to fill yours? Our spirit is like an empty cheese wrapper –God fills our heart with His love!

God loves you –Love for you is believable! Jesus did not come for you because you were perfect, Jesus come for you to make you righteous in God’s eyes, so that you may have life with Him forevermore!

There is eternal life beyond this world! Will you seek to know and believe the love that God has for you?

John 3:16King James Version (KJV)

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Believe that God SO loved you! The Bible says that God SO loved you that he gave you his only begotten Son that if you believe in him you should not perish, but have everlasting life!

There is no work to do –nor, is there anything that you have done that should prevent you from coming to Jesus, because Jesus came for you! Will you believe? Believe that God SO loved you that he gave his only begotten Son for your life, so that you should not perish, but have everlasting life with him!

I will close with a revelation the Spirit gave me this morning as I drove my son to school:

If (when) frustration, agitation, fear comes AT you, or TO you, don’t TAKE the frustrations and make them yours. They can’t become yours unless you confess them! Don’t TAKE frustrations OUT on anyone, anything, nor yourself –Send them back where they come from; and give your heart TO JESUS instead!

Remember your heart is your spirit –the Holy Spirit completes you with God’s Presence!

I hope this is a blessing to you. Please feel free to come and ask questions; or request prayer. Hope in Today Ministries cares by the compassion Jesus has put into our heart filled with God.

A Father's Love, by Karen Rowe 15July2015

Part 1!

All you need is God’s Love! By, Karen Rowe 13July2015

Love is like popcorn waiting to pop! Love to the world is like a kernel of popcorn –waiting to pop to believe! To see the miracle of popcorn –there is something we must do; just as to see the miracle in love –we must believe with our heart and confess with our mouth …

The Word Brings Salvation

Romans 10:8But what does it say? "THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, IN YOUR MOUTH AND IN YOUR HEART "-- that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, 9that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; 10for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.…

Good day to you dear reader! I hope you are well! I hope this is a blessing in the Lord to your heart! The Power in God’s love is a miracle; and we can look at God’s Creation in popcorn to see and DISCOVER the white popcorn flower burst into something lovely, fragrant, and pleasant to enjoy!  And a greater miracle to discover is this:

God’s love transforms us –when we come to know and believe the love that God has for us!

I would like to share a story with you about my dad and the love that he has for me and the love that I have for him.

When I was a kid, as a family, we would make popcorn and watch a family show together. My dad loved popcorn! Once, I remember my dad saying to me, “Karen, that popcorn was so good! Would you make me another batch of popcorn; and do you think that you can make it just like the one you just made?” My dad didn't just say the words, there was a certain love expressed in the way my dad's face smiled for me!

I don’t know what my smile must have looked like on that childhood day, but I can tell you how it made me feel to know that I had pleased my dad!  I can tell you how it made me feel to have another opportunity to please my dad!  My heart filled with such a joy; I can only compare it to the love of God and the joy that God gives, because of the love God has for me (and all He has made)!

To see the love on my dad's face for me, was worth more than anything money cannot buy in this world!

I was so happy to please my dad! I said, “Yes!  I sure can! I remember exactly how I made it!  I will love to!  I will pop it right now!”

I ran off to the kitchen to please my dad!!!  I went immediately with no pause to think and no delay to make another batch of popcorn for my dad and my goal was to make it just the way my dad liked it!  My goal in the love I have in Christ is the same in the way I serve my Father, who is God.  I hope to show the relationship that God wants to have with you as your Father!

My mom stood by my side and encouraged me with her words that we had discovered the perfect way to make popcorn!

I remembered exactly how much oil to put in the pan! I remembered to add the buttered salt to the oil! I remembered to place 2 or 3 popcorn kernels in the oil to know when the oil was at the perfect temperature to pop the perfect batch of perfect popcorn! And, then I remembered exactly how much popcorn to add at just the right time that the oil temperature was perfect to pop the perfect amount of popcorn!

Our goal was to see the popcorn pop 2 inches above the pan to overflow, but the lid would still hold in place!

I popped that popcorn with the love that is in my heart still in overflow to this day for my dad! I popped that popcorn with the love and encouragement of love in overflow from my mom that build me up to believe I could do it –and know I was well loved! She was there to help me all along the way! Together, we were so happy to please my dad … all the while, they both were making me feel SO loved!

The Bible says that God SO loved you; just like my dad SO loved me … and God's Love for us is even greater!

My dad knew just how to make me feel his love and he would give me opportunities to demonstrate my love for him –and this popcorn story is the perfect example of a father’s love!

I am writing to you today hoping to demonstrate “What is the Father’s Love?” in a world that has misunderstood love. And, to demonstrate and show, “How do you find this relationship with God, as your Father?” The answer is simply believe in God’s testimony about His Son and accept the opportunities that God gives to you to hear HIS message of love to you; and then, respond to this love from God …by saying Yes, I believe!

I shared this today, because perhaps you didn’t grow up knowing love from your childhood father like I did? Yet, I can tell you about a Father’s love that is for you that is even greater than this natural pure and unconditional love that I just described!

My dad was an amazing dad to me and taught me so much about giving, which is selfless love. My dad was a wonderful father and also a child of God just like me and you. My dad has gone on to live in Heaven with Jesus now, but his love for me is still alive! My dad just knew how to love me.

I write today, because not every person has known and believed in God’s love yet. Do you know how much God has loved you? The Bible says that God SO loved you! But do you know how much God has loved you? The Bible says that God SO loved you that he gave his Son for your sins that you shall not perish, but have everlasting life!

This is my relationship with my Father God as well! I am God’s daughter and when I know something pleases my Father, I am driven by HIS love to do my very best to please Him. Then, I feel such a release of LOVE’s power from God! Pure love is of God’s love and can become over-flowing through us when we invite Jesus to live in our life! Because I know and believe in God’s love for me, Jesus is my Savior and Lord –God’s Holy and spiritual love in me through my love in Christ can overflow through me by the power of God, for me and you to know and believe!

Special Delivery to you!  This is God's message of God’s love for you!

This is a message of love though me, but comes from our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy Name!

God's Kingdom of Love has come! HIS Name is Jesus; and He is the WORD with and of God who has COME for us!

Will you believe in your heart this love that God has given to you to believe?

It is God’s will for you to know and believe His Love for you on earth as it is in Heaven!

It is God's will for you to seek to find the love and message that God has for you as your Father in your relationship with God as your Father each and every day, beginning Today!

Life begins with believing in God's love for you; and The Bible says, Give us this day our daily bread each day as long as God calls this day Today!  God's protecting and guiding Word to us!

JESUS is the Word God has given us to believe; and Jesus is the bread of LIFE! God is LOVE! Love IS God’s message to us that God IS love ... our message from God to know and believe; and build our-self up in our most holy faith trusting in God and also in Jesus, by praying in the Holy Spirit!

If you think about the process to get a popcorn kernel to burst in to a new creation, think about God’s Love waiting to bloom in you!

Read God’s Word … and pray; as the Bible teaches us to pray!

You can feel the same way as I did in this popcorn story!  I feel the same joy when I please God as it was when I would please my dad! And, just as I know my dad’s pleasure, I know it is God’s pleasure for us to know and believe in God’s love –and I know it pleases God to tell you of HIS love that is for you!

We can have a relationship with God!

God is not a religion!  God is God.  God is the Creator!  God is Love!

God wants to be our Father.  Believing in Jesus positions us as a child of God forgiven of our sins!

When I share my love for God with you, the more I give, the more I feel God’s love swell up inside me. I suppose because God SO loves you He wants you to know and believe!

You see, God is a loving Father and just like my dad loved me well; he would also stand firm with good morals to teach me right from wrong –and sometimes tell me “no” –This is a Father’s love!

A loving parent is not a child’s enemy! A loving parent will go to great lengths to teach a child how to succeed and become the best person they can be!

In my life, I have decided! I am following Jesus! He knows the Way!

Have you made up your mind?

I hope this is a blessing that stirs your heart to seek more from God in your life!

As the good Lord guides my spirit, I pray you know that God does love you with this great love of a Father's Love.  Jesus brings us into this relationship with God!

For all have sinned and fell short of the glory of God!  My sins may be different than yours and some sins get us to the consequence faster ..., but what I do doesn't get me to Heaven; anymore than what I do keeps me out of Heaven.  Jesus died for my sin in all; and Jesus rose and now I live in Him. And, I live for Him!

If you would like help praying to God to believe in this love that God has for you, write me, my husband or the Pastor of Hope in Today Ministries at karen@hopeintoday.com.  We will pray for you and we will pray with you.

Faith is like paint ... it needs stirred up, By Karen Rowe July 9, 2015

Posted by Karen Rowe on July 9, 2015 at 7:30 AM Comments comments (0)

Will you read the Bible and discover what God wants you to know?

God is not surprised; NOR dismayed; God has the resources to help you in all things. God loves you the same!  Won't you call out His Name and say, "I have descided to follow Jesus!"  And, pray, "dear God help me see me as You see me."  God loves you my friend and Jesus changes your glow to become your inner confidence in whom God is IN you!  God completes our inner void!  Greater is God in you than he that is in the world!  Will remember who God says you are, before the world told you who you are not?

This is the most beautiful way to wake up!  I couldn't figure out why the picture can't match the glory! It is literally glowing with blooms!

And, so can you bloom with God and glow with God's Glory in Christ!  Feeling SO blessed ♡

Will you read the Bible and discover what God wants you to know?

Faith comes by hearing and hearing comes by the Word of God. Faith is sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do NOT see. Have you ever heard your voice read the Bible out loud? What does your voice sound like to you when you hear your voice speak the Word of God? How does it make you feel? Have you ever thought about how powerful it is to read the Bible out loud when you read? You CAN HEAR the Word of God! Faith comes by hearing –and hearing comes by the Word of God!

So many people are shouting their opinions in agreement or disagreement of what Jesus would agree with or not ... Will you read the Bible and discover God's love for you?

God has a message for us and it is simply this: God SO loved you and me that He has given the world HIS Son to believe in.

John 3:16-17 King James Version (KJV)

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Let JESUS be the foundation of all we believe (not our agreement, or disagreement of sin); and let the WORD of God be our personal guide though our life AS the Spirit of God stirs UP what God wants us to know and understand.

There is a message of HIS love that God has written on our heart; and there is a message to read & HEAR to gain understanding from God.

Faith is like paint ... it needs stirred up to qualify to serve!  I sure hope this is a message of encouragement to you!  There is a JOY of strength that does come from God that will overflow from you when you are filled with more than you need; and have plenty to GIVE!

Jesus has loved you well.

As a Heart Beats; So, the Spirit Raises, By Karen Rowe July 3, 2015

Posted by Karen Rowe on July 3, 2015 at 9:20 AM Comments comments (0)

Tomorrow is July 4th! Happy Independence Day! What an appropriate day to share this message that the Lord has put on my heart! I hope this is a blessing to you! I believe it will be, because I believe in the God who stirred up my spirit to write to you today! I pray that this message from the Lord is as fragrant to your soul as a Stargazer Lilly has filled my kitchen with the fragrance of one bloom! I pray that this message from the LORD is as vibrant to your soul as glasses heighten our vision to details; and as fog lifts from the ground to reveal details that already there, but awaiting to be seen!

Just a quick note: This post was ready for me to edit, when I walked into kitchen for a cup of coffee and I perceived a pleasantness in the air –Then, it was like the lightbulb went off in my mind to remember that there was a Stargazer Lily bloom in my kitchen window! I knew this bloom was strong enough to fill the air! We can perceive God’s peace in this way –yet, we can also become aware of the presence of the LORD in the power of HIS Spirit who brings this calm and peace to the very air that we breathe! Below is a picture of this flower that my husband picked yesterday!

Good day to you; and I am so glad that you have joined me! I believe the Lord has brought this message to you. But what do you believe? Will you read this with me? I don’t believe it is by accident or by chance that this message is before you in this very moment. I believe it is by the grace of God –but it matters what you believe. Today, the Holy Spirit of God has stirred up a message in my heart for you –that, I believe God will use to stir up what God has already put in you.

In my heart of God, I truly believe I am honoring what I tweeted yesterday: “When we take our emotions and opinions out of the equation we see the true power in the Grace of God. Let us speak G R A C E and Hear God.”

Will you stay with me a little while longer to see what the Lord will do?

In this world there are things that come at us that can settle our faith down –Words of fear from a doctor is at the forefront of my mind! I believe in God and I believe in Science –God has given us our ability to discover things about HIS Creation! However, sometimes science seems to speak louder to us than God! This is where faith comes in! Who will we ultimately seek to believe?

What are the things that get in the way of your faith?

In this life, as we go along through trials and challenges, we can grow stale in our faith. Doubts can become more believable than faith? Anger can become an easier choice than peace? Frustration and confusion can be easier felt than the assurance of our faith in the calm of the storm. These things can take a toll on us if we don’t stay in the Word of God, but why is this so important to discuss right now?

We hear Christians say that God looks at the heart –and everything is a matter of heart. But, what is the heart? Let’s take a look!

The human heart is the center of our entire circulatory system! This heart carries blood throughout our entire body! But there is another heart that God speaks of –the one He is concerned with. What is this heart? This heart is our spirit! Our human heart will die, but our spirit heart lives eternally –this is the heart that matters to God.

1 Samuel 16:7King James Version (KJV)

7 But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.

What is it that you have a need of today? Did you know that you already have available to you & even within you, all you need to survive well? In this world we will have trials! Our first need is life with God through Salvation. Perhaps, you need to meet Jesus? Whether we know Jesus already; or are still seeking our relationship with God, all we need is already prepared for us by God! If you need to meet Jesus, God is already waiting on you to come to Him! –So in either case of your heart –You already have all you need, but perhaps you just need your spirit stirred up?

Acts 14:9King James Version (KJV)

9 The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed, 10 Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked.

Dear Friend, it is God’s appointed time for the spirit of the Lord to increase your faith –this is why I am up this morning writing to you; for the glory of the Lord and for the benefit of you, God’s child whom HE loves! God’s spiritual hand is on you to Restore you and strengthen you; and make you strong, firm and steadfast in your faith! Your consecrated faith!

Consecrated faith is that part of the heart of who you are in what you truly believe that is set apart from this world to honor and glorify God!

God honors faith and faith pleases God –without faith, nothing is possible, but with faith all things are possible through Christ who gives us our ability to know God’s will that with God nothing is impossible to Him who loves the Lord!

Find time for yourself to stir up your gift of faith! Faith comes by hearing and hearing comes from the Word of God! You have talents from God living in you –but have they become stale? God has revealed to me that the Spirit of the LORD is stirring up our spirit! The Spirit of the LORD is moving our heart –the core center of whom we are in Spirit! As the heart pumps blood to accommodate all our physical needs; the spirit reaches every aspect to equip us with the power of God in our life –God living in us –to meet our every single need! No matter how small or big a trial –there is power available to us from Heaven and the purpose is to glorify God; as we can honor God in all that we do!

Stir up your faith – As the Bible tells us in Jude 1:20 NIV: “But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit …”

God is moving the heart of those who believe to walk by faith –not by sight! If our faith stays still, it gets stale and weak, but we have the ability in Christ Jesus! We have power given to us from God in Christ Jesus! We have the mind of Christ in Christ Jesus –But we have to stir up our mind of Christ! We have to stir up our gifts and talents from God! We must remind our self who we are to God –and whom God IS to us!

God is our Father –and the Bible says in Luke 11:11: "Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead?" I am here today, because the Lord has stirred up my spirit to write to you and remind you of who you are to God! God loves you!

Have you ever heard your voice read God’s Word out loud? How did you feel when you heard your voice speaking the Word of God? Will you do something for you? Will you find a quiet place and read God’s Word out loud? What do you hear?

Faith comes by hearing –and hearing comes by the Word of God! Have you ever listened to your voice read God’s Word?

To paint a picture of how God is raising up our hearts to believe –Imagine a can of paint that has been on the shelf for a long time and has not been stirred up for a while! The paint settles to the bottom of the can –in a way that God can settle to the bottom of our priorities in our life. Our faith in our living God works like the paint from a can –stirred up, the paint covers the wall; on the shelf, the paint separates from the other stuff. What we have to do is stir up the paint –and see what a difference it makes! And, so it is with our faith in God! Sometimes we can grow stale in our faith!

God is stirring our hearts (spiritual hearts) –God is stirring our spirit to believe by faith! And, faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God!

Will you read God’s word out loud to hear your voice speaking God’s Word? Listen to what the Lord has to say to you! This is powerful!

There are so many messages the Lord has put on my heart to share, but today all my heart is raised up to say is that God has so many messages to speak to you! If you believe already, you won’t be surprised, but you will be A M A Z E D!!!

My inspiration come from my study in the book of EZRA Chapter 1-7. As I read from God’s Word, the Holy Spirit raised up the words: “the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing …

As you read this incredible message from God, you can learn how God wants to apply His message to your life! God wants to stir up something in you! God wants to make active what He has already given you –by HIS WORD!

We go through tests to have a testimony! Learn how God raised up the spirit of the people to do the work of God in Ezra 1:5 –those whose heart God had moved! These people were called to build the House of the LORD! And, so are we! We are the body, God IS the CHURCH, Jesus is the head and our body is the temple of Christ –the Holy Spirit is the center of the Church who guides our spirit to do the will of God for the good of God’s family and the honor and glory of God’s KINGDOM come through Christ Jesus our Savior and Lord!

As I am getting older, my vision is blurry. This particular morning there is a beautiful fog covering the earth –as far as I can see! I found my glasses and put them on –and now I am amazed at the details that are there to see that were before just a blur. Reading God’s Word out loud to hear –is like tilting our head up and down to see the difference glasses will make in our vision! It brings such excitement to my soul to see like seeing for the very first time! Yet, will I go to the effort to put my glasses on every time I look to see something beautiful that is already there?

God’s word is waiting on us to be heard –not seen! Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God! Like that paint can, has your faith been stored on a shelf and grown stale? Open God’s word and experience the LORD raising your heart and stirring something great in you! God will raise up a cheerful you –and this JOY is the power of God in all you do!

In closing, today and as we read in the book of Ezra, things come up against those who were doing the will of God –but read on, because God had a purpose in stirring the spirit of Cyrus –that he made a proclamation and also wrote it down! This is very important knowledge for us today too! We see in history that God’s will was done in God’s perfect time –which we can read the testimony of all the LORD has done! (Remembering that in Chapter 4 the building of God’s house stopped for a time …. BUT READ ON Ezra Chapter 6, because Darius finds the decree of Cyrus!)!

Ezra 6:21-22King James Version (KJV)

21 And the children of Israel, which were come again out of captivity, and all such as had separated themselves unto them from the filthiness of the heathen of the land, to seek the Lord God of Israel, did eat,

22 And kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with joy:

For the Lord had made them joyful, and turned the heart of the king of Assyria unto them, to strengthen their hands in the work of the house of God, the God of Israel.

God bless you my friend. If you would like to meet the Lord of my life, He is the Son of God, who I know by the Name of Jesus the Christ the Son of the living God. Do you sense God moving your heart to pray? Just tell God what He already knows about you and allow God to stir up whom He made you to be! God loves you my friend and God is God and God will do as He pleases. It pleased God that His Son was qualified and willing to conquer death! Will you believe that the same power of God that raised Jesus from the dead is the same power of God that raises you in your Spirit to live a life being made holy? Yes, you are worth it all to God and yes, God can make you holy –step by step in your heart all the way to Heaven!

We are here for you in the love of Christ if you need a friend in Christ. We will add our holy faith to your holy faith and we will give God the glory and honor forever and ever MORE!

I hope this is a blessing to you!

Good Morning to you dear readers! This is Karen Rowe with Hope in Today Ministries. I hope this day finds you well in the Lord! And, if not, the grace to get through it well! The Bible is our “Word” “UP” each and every day. I have some words from the Lord that I hope will encourage you in your day.

Grace and Peace be with you in this day, as long as God calls it Today. This is a powerful statement from the Word of God. We can rise up to God’s call on our life to BE HOLY!

The Bibles says to remain at peace.

Peace I leave you, says Jesus.

The Church is NOT the building or the denomination, the CHURCH is JESUS –HE is the Head and we are the Body.

The Bible says to pray for your enemy –Do you know why? Because there is an eternity with or without God.

The Bible says do not treat those in Christ who are being led astray as your enemy, but the Bible gives instructions one on one and uses the word gently.

In the Old Testament, the Lord enlightened the power of God’s Control of HIS Kingdom Church.

When God wants something done –It is done; and in HIS time; God is not surprised at the adversity, but in fact in God’s great patience, God is still working out HIS plan.

In the Book of Esra, “The LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus King of Persia (Esra 1:1) to strengthen the hand of those God was calling to build the house of God, the God of Israel (Esra 6:22). “Then rose up…,with all them whose spirit God had raised … (Ezra 1:5).

The Bible uses the words “With Joy, for the Lord had made them joyful, and turned the heart of the king unto them, to strengthen their hands in the work of the house of God, the God of Israel.”

Reading on in the book of Esra, there were those who come against the work of God …Please read this incredible history in the Bible! But in due time, The LORD’s will was done!

Now, in that time, there was a decree made by the King of whom the Lord had moved the heart of that there would not be any toll to be paid …

Again, please read this for your own mind to see as God reveals His Word to you, but this morning the Spirit of the Lord is moving my heart in this direction.

Now, with this knowledge, let’s move to the New Testament, where Peter knew his religious freedom in the Temple with this tax, but when faced with a decision of God’s Right and Wrong, Peter went to Jesus and asked Jesus, Lord, what do we do?

Jesus answered with great power and authority of GRACE over the LAW, but not to change God’s STRUCTURE of Grace.

Go and cast out your line and the 1st fish you catch, open its mouth and take out the coin. Use this coin to pay your tax and mine! Read this miracle in the Bible! It is an incredible history and example of how we are to act in the Grace of God according to facing the laws that have changed according to man’s views. God has not changed –God has instructed our way!

Jesus said to Peter, “TO AVOID CAUSING OFFENSE” Go and DO as the LORD commands and SEE what God has PROVIDED for us to meet this request of man, but not step out of the Grace and Righteousness of God!

Jesus is our AMAZING Truth, Way and LIFE! Jesus has ALL the answers!

Our command is to pray and believe in God and also in Jesus. Furthermore, in Grace, the Bible teaches us “IF POSSIBLE, as far as it depends on me, Remain at peace with everyone.

Friends in Christ, we are not called to be a part of the division that is going on in this world. The Bible teaches us, Do not be surprised, but in all our ways acknowledge God who has sent us Jesus.

As we pray, God will provide our way to continue shining the light of Jesus to the world in the unity of the Body of Christ. The Church is NOT gone, the diversion is just mirror imaging deception to the world to deceive as the Bible says, “even the elect if that is possible”.

I will be glad to provide Scripture references to this. Yet, for Today, according to the power of the Holy Spirit living in me and the Word of God that I have found and have written in my heart, I will share what the Lord has stirred up in my spirit to share.

God loves you my friend. Enjoy God’s freedom in His Grace, but remember that Grace is not to use the law to argue division; Grace is the provision of Peace with the emotion of God, which is JOY overpowering our human emotions. Grace is our power to please God in all that we do with our knowledge that God is over all and has HIS eye even on the sparrow.

God bless you my friend in Christ. And, if you don’t know Jesus like this, I invite you to be my friend through meeting the Son of God. Jesus loves you and this is one thing that matters what you believe. The Lord has put on my heart the ministry of God’s Love. I pray that I reflect God’s love well, but remember, I too am a work in progress.

What is Hope? By Karen Rowe June 24, 2015

Posted by Karen Rowe on June 24, 2015 at 7:50 AM Comments comments (0)

What is HOPE to you?

How do you use the word Hope?

There are a lot of things we can hope for in this world.

Can you name some things that you hope for?

_________ , _____________, _____________, …

Do you put your hope in money; or other people?  Would you agree that money is temporary -and an endless supply is always needed?  In this life there are things that "come up" and bills that constantly roll in.  Jobs have proven to be secure or insecure, but our only guarentee is found in following Jesus Christ our Lord.

Promotions are necessary in this changing world.  If we are not growing then we are dying. Life is like that, we are constantly growing in and to our maturity in Christ as we make our way through this world to eternal life.

How about people -Do you place your believing hope in a teacher, doctor, friend, pastor, or lawyer?  It is good to seek knowledge from good sources such as these, but there is a source of all knowledge and our source of the Truth is God!  The Bible says, Jesus is the Truth, the Way and the Life!

People wil give us their opinions freely.  Whether educated or not, opinions are widely available!  Yet, God gave you your own mind!  You are capable to make up your own mind!  I encourage you to not give up on God or believing in Jesus, because of all the misrepresentation in this world about whom He is!

Please consider one thing:  Who is Jesus to you?  Have you ever really sit down to ask God to help you find the Truth to believe?

Yes, even if you don't believe in God, did you know that you can ask Him and you will be surprised that you are not crazy at all! Just you and your Creator having a conversation about His Son and your Savior!

A conversation with God is no trouble at all.  No one has to even know what you are doing.  Only God's eyes see, but are you willing to seek the Truth to satisfy your mind, which chooses the destiny of your soul?

It is all up to you!  Will you? Jesus said, Yes, Father.  In HIS conversation with God, Jesus asked the Father of Righteousness and Life, "If it is possible, remove this cup from me, but never-the-less; YOUR Will be done."  How about you?  Are you willing to pray this prayer to God to help you believe?

What if God helps you to believe?

What if God does not?

Isn't your mind good enough to know the difference between what is real and what is not?

I believe that God will reveal the truth to you in a way that you can believe.  Will you use your faith to allow your mind to believe what your heart is nudging you to know?

Where will you spend eternity?  Have you ever really thought about life after death?  There is no harm in seeking information, but pray to God to give you a revelation!

Are you willing to seek to see what God might want to say to you?

We do have Hope in Today and foreverMORE Hope in Jesus, who IS our HOPE; and like money we do have a need: Our NEED of HIS endlesss HIS supply of all our needs! The only difference is Jesus is our assurance of what we HOPE for and Certainty of what we do not see!

Money has become diluted in the government, like too much water in lemonaide!  Don't allow your faith to become tainted or diluted by your lack of knowledge in God's Word.  Do yourself a favor and discover God's message to you!  Renew your faith Today with God and ask God to guide you to your true Hope in your knowledge of God's Son.

Will you place your hope in God’s Holy Son?

Father, we thank you for the Hope you have given us in Christ Jesus.

If you have questions; or need prayer, write me, my husband or the Pastor:  God has placed us here for you!

I am so glad you have stopped by!

Let me begin by saying that my motto is, “I don’t have it all figured out, BUT God does … FOLLOW JESUS!”

With this being said, will you join me as we travel through God’s Word with an open mind to hear what God might want to say to you? If you get nothing from this, thank you for your time and I pray you are blessed as God views our time with Him as precious.

In this world, there are things that people do to people that can’t be understood, but only to know that God allows evil for a while longer on this earth. People do things to people that make no good sense –all we can know is that God is Sovereign. Yet, our knowledge of Sovereign alone can’t describe that God IS LOVE.

In my reading this week, the words, "When he (Job) prayed for his friends," ministered to me ...

“And the LORD restored Job’s losses WHEN he prayed for his friends (Job 42:10).”

As a diver puts on his gear to go under the water to discover things about what has already been created, let us dive into God's Word to discover how to survive in this world after the miracle through Jesus!

Would you like to join me to learn more on this topic?  Click or copy and paste the above link to this study.  I hope this is a blessing to you!

The first miracle is when we believe!  To understand things of God, first we must believe.

If you would like to pray God's will for you to believe, we will listen and add our faith to yours.

Love in Christ,

May God's blessings of peace and joy rest on you.

Love in Christ,

"At that time the son born according to the flesh persecuted the son born by the power of the Spirit. It is the same now (Galatians 4:29 )."

Coming soon:  Children of a Promise:  See Galatians Verse 4:28

***28 Now you, brothers and sisters, like Isaac, are children of promise.

These posts are shared with my heart founded on Faith, HOPE, and LOVE in a Loving and JUST God

  • John 3:16 AND John 3:17 (Jesus come to save not condemn)
  • Matthew 13:25-30  (Jesus is the Master ... Let the work HE has accomplished work till maturity comes in the harvest)
  • Mathew 5:44  (Abide in Jesus  and Pray for those the Holy Spirit reveals to you to pray for)
  • 1 John 4:16 "And we know and have believed the love which God hath in us. God is love; and he that abideth in love abideth in God, and God abideth in him (1 John 4:16)."

    No Condemnation in Christ

1Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. 2For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. 3For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh,…  Romans 8:1-3

I pray this is a blessing to you. Love and prayers, Karen

This is Galatians Chapters 4 & 5 as I saw it this morning!  I share this today, because we see evil in the world; we know that evil uses fear, confusion and frustion as tactics; and it is hard to understand how anyone could be so cruel and inhumine in the things we are seeing.  We can know who we are dealing with.

I am convinced that not everyone is going to Heaven, but not everyone is going to Hell either.

God sees what's going on and God is working out His plan ... there is a " harvest " (good vs evil) in the final season of the Todays  that God is patiently providing (whether Today lasts for  another day; or a trillion + more years ... we can Trust God and God is a good Judge of all the seasons that HE has made).  This post is written for you and me ... Stay strong, of good courage, and stay encouraged.  Keep your living faith active; and remain in your JOY and PEACE of Jesus.

We are called to pray.  Let us pray God's will.   Let's look through God's view.  God is LOVE. God is TRUTH.  God is JUST.  God is LIFE.

I hope this is an encouragement to seek answers that are waiting to be found in the Word of God that is written to us and for our benefit.

Let us begin with Joshua 1:8-9

God Commissions Joshua

…8"This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success. 9"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go."

Galatians Chapter 5

“…The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love (Galatians 5:6).

“7 You were running a good race. Who cut in on you to keep you from obeying the truth?

8 That kind of persuasion does not come from the one who calls you (Galatians 5:7-8 ).

“9 “A little yeast works through the whole batch of dough.” 10 I am confident in the Lord that you will take no other view. The one who is throwing you into confusion, whoever that may be, will have to pay the penalty. 11 Brothers and sisters, if I am still preaching … (Galatians 5:9-11).

Galatians Chapter 4

“15 Where, then, is your blessing of me now?  (WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO YOUR JOY?) I can testify that, if you could have done so, you would have torn out your eyes and given them to me. 16 Have I now become your enemy by telling you the truth? (Galatians 4:15-16)

“Hagar and Sarah

21 Tell me, you who want to be under the law, are you not aware of what the law says? 22 For it is written that Abraham had two sons, one by the slave woman and the other by the free woman. 23 His son by the slave woman was born according to the flesh, but his son by the free woman was born as the result of a divine promise (Galatians 4:21-23).

24 These things are being taken figuratively: The women represent two covenants. One covenant is from Mount Sinai and bears children who are to be slaves: This is Hagar. 25 Now Hagar stands for Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present city of Jerusalem, because she is in slavery with her children. 26 But the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother (Galatians 4:24-26).

27 For it is written:

“Be glad, barren woman,

you who never bore a child;

shout for joy and cry aloud,

you who were never in labor;

because more are the children of the desolate woman

than of her who has a husband (Galatians 4:27).”

28 Now you, brothers and sisters, like Isaac, are children of promise. 29 At that time the son born according to the flesh persecuted the son born by the power of the Spirit. It is the same now. 30 But what does Scripture say? “Get rid of the slave woman and her son, for the slave woman’s son will never share in the inheritance with the free woman’s son. (Amen.  And, by God's Grace, there is HOPE to be set free in Christ Jesus)  (Pray over Romans 8:2-3)  31 Therefore, brothers and sisters, we are not children of the slave woman, but of the free woman (Galatians 4:28-31).

Romans 8:2-3

No Condemnation in Christ

1Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. 2For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. 3For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh,… Romans 8:1-3

And, Back to Galatians 5:6-7; 4-5

6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love (Galatians 5:6).

7 You were running a good race. Who cut in on you to keep you from obeying the truth? 8 That kind of persuasion does not come from the one who calls you (Galatians 5:7).

4 You who are trying to be justified by the law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace. 5 For through the Spirit we eagerly await by faith the righteousness for which we hope (Galatians 5:4-5).

I hope this was a blessing to you.  Be strong in the Lord and of good courage.

ABIDE in HIM and HE will ABIDE IN YOU!

There is so much more to understand in the Will of God.

My Motto is:

I don't have it all figured out, BUT God does ... FOLLOW JESUS!

*** Please open your Bibles to Galatians Chapters 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and read to understand God's complete message to you.

I will do the same.

Blessings to you in the Name of our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus.

1 John 3:7 Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as he is righteous.

Good day to you and welcome to one of my Bible Studies that God revealed answers to me!

From these Words, from God to me, I wrote "Shake that dust off, by Karen Rowe Jan 27 & Feb 10, 2015 -Never published before...I will in God's time; and hope to link my testimony to this for greater learning, but for now, I decided to post the Scriptures instead.

I believe these words will benefit us all again one day!

Psalm 35:12-14 was my testimony!

12 They rewarded me (They repay me) evil for good to the spoiling of my soul.

13 But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth: I humbled my soul with fasting; and my prayer returned into mine own bosom.

14 I behaved myself as though he had been my friend or brother (or sister): I bowed down heavily, as one that mourneth for his mother.

I was amazed to find our experience so beautifully and powerfully written in my Bible, the Word of God to me!

Has anyone ever used sympathy against you?

...Used your compassion against you?

Have you ever been "busied up" doing good things that was on your heart that you could do, because you didn't know what else to do ... but to do the good that you could do.

Was it really your assignment from God?  And, how can you tell the difference?

The really awesome thing is that when we BELIEVE what we are doing is what God wants us to do, then God is with us!

And, in the end, the enemy will dismiss the blessing, but this is not our worry or concern!  We move on with God; and continue trusting God!

Has someone abused your time and taken advantage of your compassion?

Have you sacrificed to help someone who CLAIMED to be in need, just in case it was true?

Perhaps this will help you too?

God allows us to go through things to teach us; and to strengthen us. And, when we come through, we are able to share what we have learned.

Ths is my sole purpose today.  I have prayed about sharing this today.  I have asked God to test my heart ...

This is my sole purpose:  To encourage you in the Word of God to be strong and of good courage to do God's will.

Knowing God's will is where we begin!

I hope this is a blessing to you.

Psalm 35:12-14 was my testimony; can you relate?

If so, pick up your Bible with a highlighter in your hand and be prepared to hear God's Word Speak to you!

God has delievered me from this manipulation that comes through "the spirit of sympathy," (with envy and selfish ambition) thus the title:  Recognizing the "Seductions" that come against our Compassion in Christ.  And, we also have a purpose in learning the balance of not allowing a bitterness or anger or doubt to stop us in our faith; or come into our heart to grow callioused.

Psalm 35:12-14King James Version (KJV)

12 They rewarded me (They repay me) evil for good to the spoiling of my soul.

13 But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth: I humbled my soul with fasting; and my prayer returned into mine own bosom.

14 I behaved myself as though he had been my friend or brother (or sister): I bowed down heavily, as one that mourneth for his mother.

Can you relate to what I am speaking of? This is God's Word, but I can speak of this experience too.

Now, another Scripture(BELOW, Luke 22:31-32) has come to me in my delieverence for such a situation. And, the message is this: That if you are not the kind of person to steal, do drugs, cheat or lie -Satan is happy to get you to walk in the carnal flesh by doing good! This is my story: I was busied up doing good -out of compassion, but NOT in my assignments from God. YET, God knew my heart! God was with me through and through.  And, God allowed me to go on this route to learn, prepare and grow stronger. Through this, I heavily noticed that God is Faithful!!! This is my strong conviction: God is faithful! God IS LOVE and God IS Truth!

God is Faithful is my testimony in the end of this long ordeal!

Luke 22:31-32King James Version (KJV)

31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:

32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

Too much to write here, so check out these other Scriptures:  Matthew 13:25-30 and remember to pray for your enemy; and trust God is the Judge!  I unpluged from this situation that was not my assignment from God ... I unplugged from this WITH God; and my PEACE returned to me!  God also warned me not to look back, but to pray for those my heart knew to pray for.  In the moment that my peace had returned to me, God had told me to "Shake the dust off of my feet" and go on.  God had this without me!

This might make someone mad, but:

Have you understood yet that God doesn't need us to do HIS work?  God gives us opportunities that HE will work through us, but this is GRACE and the power of prayer by God's design through the work of the Holy Spirit.

We can't do God's work alone in our own power or wish; and this is where Satan can use our emotions and desire to do good deeds against us.  We can pray, but RESTING FAITH is just as important as WALKING FAITH, because Faith trusts God and also in Jesus.

If it is not our assignment, we can trust God to do HIS work without us -unless HE asks something of us.  We are called to pray 1st; then get our word from God; and trust and obey.

Important Scriptures to me in this: Matthew 10:12-14, 2 Thessalonians 3:16, Luke 10:6, Ephesians 5:6

Then, God brought answers to me, which leads us to 1 John Chapters 1-3.  I always thought that if someone was speaking the word of God and of the name of Jesus this was their heart and motive, but the Bible also warns us to test everything and beware.

Open your Bible and let's learn what God has to say about this.

1 John Chapters 1-3 spelled out everything that I experienced to the fine detail.

1 John 1 English Standard Version (ESV)

The Word of Life

1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we looked upon and have touched with our hands, concerning the word of life— 2 the life was made manifest, and we have seen it, and testify to it and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was made manifest to us— 3 that which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ. 4 And we are writing these things so that our joy may be complete (KJV “YOUR JOY MAY BE FULL).

Walking in the Light

5 This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. 8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. (we have a "want to" sinful human nature.  We all need Jesus for our forgiveness.  *Now, also,we can gain understanding of 'Abiding in Christ" Emphasis mine.  See also verse 1John 3:6) 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

1 John 2 English Standard Version (ESV)

Christ Our Advocate

2 My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 2 He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. 3 And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 Whoever says “I know him” but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him, 5 but whoever keeps his word, in him truly the love of God is perfected. By this we may know that we are in him: 6 whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked.

The New Commandment

7 Beloved, I am writing you no new commandment, but an old commandment that you had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word that you have heard. 8 At the same time, it is a new commandment that I am writing to you, which is true in him and in you, because[a] the darkness is passing away and the true light is already shining. 9 Whoever says he is in the light and hates his brother is still in darkness. 10 Whoever loves his brother abides in the light, and in him[b] there is no cause for stumbling. 11 But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.

12 I am writing to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven for his name's sake.

13 I am writing to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning.

I am writing to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one.

I write to you, children, because you know the Father.

14 I write to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning.

I write to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil one.

Do Not Love the World

15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life[c]—is not from the Father but is from the world. 17 And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.

Warning Concerning Antichrists

18 Children, it is the last hour, and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come. Therefore we know that it is the last hour.19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out, that it might become plain that they all are not of us. 20 But you have been anointed by the Holy One, (KJV ye have an unction from the Holy One), and you all have knowledge (KJV and ye know all things.).[d] 21 I write to you, not because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and because no lie is of the truth.  22 Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son. 23 No one who denies the Son has the Father. Whoever confesses the Son has the Father also. 24 Let what you heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, then you too will abide in the Son and in the Father. 25 And this is the promise that he made to us[e]—eternal life.

26 I write these things to you about those who are trying to deceive you (KJV Concerning them that SEDUCE you”  (Seduce means more than this word implies in this world:   Seduction is a manipulation of anykind of manipulation playing on emotions / sympathy / desire to help.  Seduction is a manipution that is filled with envy and selfish ambition and it is a tool that is purposely and deceitfully used against our compassion to get us to move away from our assignments from God -emphasis mine). 27 But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true (KJV TRUTH), and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him.

Children of God

28 And now, little children, abide in him, so that when he appears (KJV HE SHALL APPEAR) we may have confidence and not shrink from him in shame (KJV NOT BE ASHAMED BEFORE HIM) at his coming. 29 If you know that he is righteous, you may be sure that (KJV KNOW THAT) everyone who practices righteousness has been born of him.

1 John 3 English Standard Version (ESV)

1 (KJV BEHOLD, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us) See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him. 2 Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears[a] we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. 3 And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure.

4 Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness (KJV committeth sin transgresseth also the law); sin is lawlessness (KJV for sin is the transgression of the law.). 5 You know that he appeared in order to take away sins, and in him there is no sin. 6 No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him(see also 1 John 1:8 ).

7 Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as he is righteous.

8 Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil.

9 No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God's[b] seed abides in him, and he cannot keep on sinning because he has been born of God. 10 By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother.

Love One Another

11 For this is the message that you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. 12 We should not be like Cain, who was of the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own deeds were evil and his brother's righteous. 13 Do not be surprised, brothers,[c] that the world hates you.

14 We know that we have passed out of death into life, (KJV PASSED FROM DEATH UNTO LIFE) because we love the brothers. Whoever does not love abides in death.15 Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.

16 By this we know love, (KJV HEREBY PERCEIVE WE THE LOVE OF God) that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.

17 But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him  (KJV SHUTTETH UP HIS BOWELS OF COMPASSION FROM HIM), how does God's love abide in him? 18 Little children, let us not love in word or talk, but  in deed and in truth.

19 By this we shall know that we are of the truth and reassure our heart before him; 20 for whenever our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and he knows everything.  21 Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God; 22 and whatever we ask we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do what pleases him. 23 And this is his commandment, that we believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and love one another, just as he has commanded us. 24 Whoever keeps his commandments abides in God,[d] and God[e] in him. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit whom he has given us.

Sadducees Question the Resurrection

…31"But regarding the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was spoken to you by God: 32'I AM THE GOD OF ABRAHAM, AND THE GOD OF ISAAC, AND THE GOD OF JACOB '? He is not the God of the dead but of the living." 33When the crowds heard this, they were astonished at His teaching.

No Condemnation in Christ

1Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. 2For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. 3For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh,…

Trust is all we need, By Karen Rowe February 15, 2015

Posted by Karen Rowe on February 17, 2015 at 8:40 AM Comments comments (0)

If I could only know one thing, I would choose to know that I can trust (believe) in God.

Without trust –we are paralyzed.

"Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me (John 14:1).”

Once I was driving on a dark night. I began speaking prayers down the driveway, and continued until I said my last amen thanking God for his loving devotion and protection at each mark of this trip. Moments later, after that last amen, we saw a large object laying in the road. At first glance this slightly glowing object looked like a box. However, the closer we got to this object, strangely, it began to look like a large animal; until we were upon it and in passing by, when we realized that it was a person wearing reflective gear! A person was lying in the road; and, that in that terrifying dark moment we didn’t know if he was dead or alive; or what had happened. In the end, of this horrifying event, this man was only sleeping in the middle of the road. However, in those moments, I couldn’t process all the fear that ran through my mind like a tornado; –And, I immediately became paralyzed by fear!

In the darkness of the Unknowns, fear and frustration will come AT us! But Satan will not call our attention to us like I just did in all Caps or Bold.

And, frustration, is a friend of fear.

Just like Satan attempted to toss some “ever so slightly building” frustration at me the morning of my surgery two years ago to get my mind in a place of misplaced trust, just hours before I needed to trust God the most!

You see, Frustration and Fear are Satan’s tools that he uses to stop our faith and redirect our mind from simply believing and trusting in God. Frustration, like fear will come at us sometimes, but we have a choice not to let these daggers come IN us. It matters how quickly we can recognize that attack, to extinguish those fiery darts, because it is a benefit to us to remember what we believe –and trust in God and also in Jesus.

“Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God (Ephesians 6:17).”

The helmet is to prevent doubts and discouragements and the Word of God is our power tool to remind ourselves who God is and who we are to God. The Word of God is the “sword of the Spirit”!

We need to remember God’s Word and use God’s Word to Pray.

Renewing our mind in these vital moments is powerful, because in the Spirit of God there in nothing to fear but fear itself! If we remember to reject the “Fear in the Unknowns” we can remember our Faith through the Unknowns. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1)!

We have a choice who controls our situation through the unknowns –God with Peace, Joy and Power to overcome; or Satan with frustration, fear and torment to kill, steal and destroy.

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will (Romans 12:2).”

“…that, in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit, and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.… (Ephesians 4:22-24).”

This 2nd Scripture refers to complete surrender to trusting God to obey and come into HIS will –which is more powerful place to be –than the temptations could ever provide. ***This is another entire topic, but worth tossing a word in, because we can be tempted “by fear” in financial decisions / situations and tempted to lie (do the wrong thing) to get insurance –but we have to remember that misplaced trust will only get what we see (and will only go so far)! God is the GREAT Provider of everything and the WONDERFUL Healer of All –I believe this makes my point that nothing is worth throwing our trust in God away for. Place your HOPE in Jesus and follow God’s Truth, God’s Way and by all means, choose to walk in God’s LIFE, because you have been blessed by Grace to do so.

So, what does that mean? “I was paralyzed by fear,” –It means just what it says, All I could do was scream from a place I didn’t know horror could rest –from the depths of my soul! I couldn’t drive, or think and here’s the point –I couldn’t pray! All I could do was react in fear. I experienced what it means to become paralyzed in fear!

Ordinarily, in a different frame of mind, this wouldn’t have been such an event filled with fright, but this time was special, because I was being taught where my strength lies by God. God allowed me to experience the power of fear that Satan can have over us if we were to allow evil to control our mind with fear and frustration. However, God only allowed this to come to me in order to teach me. God taught me something about Satan’s tactics of fear to control us; and I learned something very powerful against fear, is Trust! Trust in God and also in Jesus.

I have learned:

We can be paralyzed by fear?

Or, our enemies will become paralyzed as we pass by!

We can be powerful in faith, hope and love that is with God and by walking our steps within The Christ! This means that we are saturated in the Lord Jesus the Christ, and, when we pass by our enemies trusting God, our enemies become paralyzed instead of us!

When I returned home, this is the Scripture that God delivered to me; and I thank God for this message that I understood clearly. The words in the parentheses is exactly how God showed me.

I believe that Paul’s Prayer … is also for you and me in The Church (notice the word “Together”):

…so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints (may have power together with all the saints) what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.…(Ephesians 3:17-19).”

A church that is filled with LIFE and POWER is a church operating in the power of Holy Spirit though those who are together in Christ.

So I it may seem that failed this time at the edge of the unknowns that dark night, but it was not a surprise to God –It was my lesson to learn at the edge of the cliff that Satan is allowed to take us, but God uses these attempts to teach us! God allowed this to teach me how to react to fear –and the purpose of fear is to capture our faith and stop our prayers –to paralysis us!

To “Believe” To “Trust God” To “Follow Jesus” is a powerful statement! But, do you know how to believe?

How does one believe? The answer is not by your own doing, but rather we believe by the power of the Holy Spirit convincing us in our very being that was created to believe! And, God has given us this Helper! God is with us. Our job is to pray and ask God to help us to believe.

“But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative--that is, the Holy Spirit--he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you (John 14:26 NLT).”

Advocate, Helper, Comforter, Counselor are all words from different translations that we can be assured that if we ask God to help us believe –God is faithful to help us trust Him to do the right thing always.

Remember God is glad to help us overcome the enemy’s attacks of fear and frustration. Will you pray and ask God for help?

We receive the Holy Spirit when we believe on Jesus as our Truth, our Way and our Life –and this is just the beginning of all God will do to help us!

There is a Peace from Jesus that cannot be imitated –and this is a certain assurance of our faith in God.

Everything begins with Prayer –Jesus has prayed for you. And, you can pray for God to help you believe.

Then, Believing enables Trust; and Prayer activates what we believe in that we are equipped with all we need to overcome and accomplish all things –for God’s glory! Trust is all we need –and, if we believe, we trust; and if we trust, we pray, and if we pray, we know that God is faithful.

I have learned the power of Believing, which is “trusting” in God. Trust in God is greater than anything that comes at me; and believing faith overpowers fear!

Next time, if you would like to join me, we will continue learning more about your faith that God has given you to believe.

I believe Paul’s Prayer is also for us:

…and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.

Ephesians 3:19-21

I hope this is a blessing to you.

Love in Christ,

Karen Rowe
