God Loves You; Do You Love God?

Do you love God?

Don’t feel bad if you can’t answer that question yet.

I didn’t know I could love God until I found out how much God loved me.

Believing in love is the first step to a new life and freedom, which is living your blessed life loved by God.

I used to think of God as a force to respect who created the world, but I never knew that God, or his ways, might be meant for me to understand, and I never thought that I should love him until God showed me that I already did.

God showed me his love first.

I never thought about loving God as a person and never thought of God as my Father in heaven, until I met God as my Father.

I knew that Jesus loved me, but I did not understand the depths of what that meant until God showed me his pure and perfect love that exists for us all. Jesus died to freely give us God’s pure and perfect love and forgiveness to set us free to love.

I did not see or understand God’s love on the cross until God showed me his love in a four-leaf clover.

So how can you love someone if you do not know anything about who they are? Perhaps, how can you trust love if you have never experienced the type of love that God provides?

I used to think it was weird or unacceptable, maybe even disrespectful, to God to hear someone say that they loved God but that was just not true at all. God wants us to get to know him so that we can love him too. God loved us first, and we are created to love like God. I have found that once I got to know the attributes of God in who he really is, I loved God already in who I found God to be.

This is how pure and perfect God’s love exists.

The cross was an act of God’s love for you and me. However, the cross may be something hard for us to understand at first until we know more, so God goes a step further in my life because I already believed and accepted the cross as something that I needed. God formed, created, and showed me a four-leaf clover as his sign for us to know his pure and perfect love devotion. Today, The Train Whistledeclares that my four-leaf clover was meant for you as much as it was meant for me, so I tell my story to share God’s message with you. If this was not so, it would not be.

God is love, God came as love, and love is and is to be. This kind of love just exists and requires nothing in return. The love is there, whether we admit it or not. We can be hurt by others, but the love does not turn off. Anger and resentment just cover up and taint the love. We hurt God, but God’s love does not turn off. Jesus has accomplished complete atonement for our sins so that God can see us clear in the forgiveness of Jesus. Forgiveness does not mean that we have an excuse to sin; forgiveness means that we are forgiven. We fall short of the glory of God because of the emotions that we feel and our sinful nature; plus, there is a wisdom that does not come from heaven that toils with our minds. Jesus sees us trying, and we are equipped to overcome our sinful nature. We still make mistakes, but we are forgiven and well loved by God.

Love makes us vulnerable to love, and in this imperfect world, love makes us vulnerable to hurt, but God’s love is perfecting our ability to love without hurt. God teaches us not to hurt love and not to be afraid to love. God’s love is pure and perfect in complete form.

Existing love is why people can get a divorce from each other, but in true love, they cannot divorce the love that exists because of God’s ordained love in a marriage. We have the ability to accept or reject God’s love, but true peace and joy, with true freedom in forgiveness, will only be found by first accepting God’s love and living in the strength and forgiveness of Jesus. We can accept or reject God’s love, but with each decision, we are led somewhere.

A parental love just exists. A child can disobey and make us angry, but never do we stop loving them when we love like God. A loved one can go to heaven, but the love remains in our soul. This is God’s existence with us by a love that God put in our hearts that lives forever. Love is our spiritual connection to God, and Jesus has made that bridge for us to reach God and come into the presence of God. This God-given love just exists because God is love and God loves you. God is to be our Father, we are taught by Jesus, and believing in God’s ability to love is our beginning to experiencing love. You do not just have to look through a window and wish you could become a child of God; you can be a child of God by simply believing in Jesus, who is the Christ, the Son of the living God. Accept him by faith and you will be saved.

“There is no greater love than the love Jesus has for you, that Jesus would lay down his life for you” (John 15:13). We are a friend of Jesus and a child of God.

I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.

John 17:23

I did not understand I could love God for many reasons; maybe one reason was it seemed disrespectful on some strange level, that maybe that was not allowed. Or I did not feel worthy on some level to make that claim. It also seemed a bit weird to me to hear others say that they loved God because of my definition of what love was and who I thought God was.

I did not know God. I just knew about God. God is not just a force with a personality; God is more than a person. God is wonderful. He is good, and he only does good things for us. God is love. I did not love God like I should because I did not know I was supposed to love God. In addition, we do not just decide to love someone one day; we fall in a love when we find the love that already exists. We love someone when we finally meet them on that level to know who they really are—that level where trust in that person is found. I only knew that God existed; I only knew God as the creator and provider; I did not see God as the Father that he is.

I have spent time with God—real, genuine time with God. I have experienced a living God who does amazing things in my life because I trust him for who he says he is. Now I love God, and I realize that I have loved him all my life; I just did not know it. It took seeing God’s love for me to understand how pure God loves. God loved me first, and God loved me before I knew that I loved him. This is why I say that God loves you too.

God sees you clearer than you can see yourself because he sees you through his creative and redemptive eyes; he knows who you are and who you are to become.

"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God..." James 1:5

Seek and you shall find!  If you need help finding a scripture or if you need a boost in faith, or prayer, we are united in Christ to encourage each other daily.  If you have never known Jesus before ask me how...ask me why...ask me anything that is holding you back...Please visit the guestbook to contact me; or seek to find a person whom you can trust and is also close to God with Jesus in their heart to help you.  In addition to God putting Godly people in our life, the really cool thing about God is that HE IS with you the minute you believe in and confess the name of Jesus!  It is God who does and enables all things!

God knows and understands that we will have real issues to deal with -Real things that could trouble our heart, but He tells us a different way! God tells us to trust Him, because he knows that it is already okay, it is just a process to get there. Pursue Peace and follow God's righteous Word, because God is faithful. Our job is just to be faithful to God in our patience [and in our lack of understanding]. God understands that we won't always understand, so He tells us not to lean on our own understanding.

Faith is more than a pipe dream!  Faith is power with authority!  Faith is a gift given to us by God for just accepting His truth, His way and His life, Jesus, God's holy Son!

Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight

(Proverbs 3:5-6)
